Renfrow could come at a super cheap 1 year deal to play with Allen and boost his stats for a better payday down the road.

This. He showed some fantastic route running and hands with a competent QB.

When everyone else zigs, you zag. Think of him is excellent depth behind Shakir, our new WR2, and Diggs in case of injury.

Comp picks are fake. Don't count on them. They reviewed this year's again & still kept us & SF at 4th round but gave Cincy a 3rd round. Totally not worth it. No one seems to really understand the supposed "formula", Beane & the experts said it would be a 3rd & planned accordingly. We'll give up talent & end up with a 7th next year. Until they fix it so the process is transparent & everyone can understand it & know what they'll actually get, it's about as real as the Easter bunny and as reliable as Nathan Peterman in the 1st half of a Bills game.

"This is something I don't understand, so I'm going to say it's a hoax!"

    The new normal.

So $39M is the real number. He gets $3M AAV more than MVS got when he signed with the Chiefs. Sounds about right after two years of salary inflation.

Love it for the comp pick.

    Love it for Gabe.

Would have HATED it for the Bills.

  4. If you want to know the true value of a player, look how much money and attention he gets in Free Agency.

Love Morse, happy he got paid, but he is getting HALF what we were due to pay him this year.

Good move by Beane and glad Morse ended up on a solid, young team. Good weather, good taxes. Not a division rival.

  5. In 2023 we had terrible injury luck ... and also a very old team.

In 2022 we had one of the luckiest teams in the league for injury luck.

In 2021 we had one of the luckiest teams in the league for injury luck.

We had our star QB for every single game the past 5 seasons, which no other team has had.

We had our star WR for every single game the past 4 years, minus one in 2020.

This is a very lucky, healthy team despite many old veterans. We just got some back luck last year.

What do we do? Get younger and pray. There's nothing else wrong.

  6. It's that time of year again.

Everyone is excited about Free Agency.

The league calendar is about to begin.

The draft isn't too far away.

    The future is bright.

Just as we take our first breath of spring air, we log into TBD and we see:

"We need to resign DaQuan Jones."

"I can't believe we resigned Taylor Rapp."

    No.

    "Re-sign" means to sign again.

"Resign" means to voluntarily leave a job. It means the opposite of re-sign.

Cheers, Bills Fans, to re-signing our best players and winning the Super Bowl. 🍻

Yeah. It’s not an overpay at all for a depth piece like Edwards. Yeah they could’ve gone with a minimum salary guy or rookie but now you’re sacrificing experience and/or talent.

There's also a tremendous benefit to Edwards being a known commodity.

He knows Aaron Kromer's system, which by all accounts takes some time.

We know how to use him as a TE3.

He has had time with the starters as a backup guard.

He looked solid with the starters and won a Super Bowl as a starter with the Rams.

Getting all of that for $2.3M is a steal. Crazy to call it an overpay.

Careful your on a rough path that people will not agree with you on Dion. He’s the lovable fat guy so everyone likes him.

He's a great player at the most important position on Offense outside of QB.

He's also competitive and "nasty" which is what we always want until we have it. Now that's a problem because he's talking?

Any discussion of trading him is as ridiculous as talking about trading Josh. There's a reason nearly every poster on this board thinks it's a ridiculous idea.

And they’re good. What am I missing?

It depends what you think they're competing for. Playoffs 1st round? Sure.

I would argue they have no shot of winning the SB with Tua, just based on how they've played against good teams and in the playoffs.

They were fantastic against bad teams and will probably have a winning record the next couple of years. Yay.

Is Tua going to be able to beat Mahomes, Josh, Lamar, Burrow... heck even Herbert, Stroud, and Rodgers next year?

I haven't seen anything that makes me feel the answer is yes, he can beat three of them in a row in the playoffs, then go beat the best of the NFC.

What happened to him against KC though? Would’ve been nice to have one of our impact players on defense to step up.

The best interior offensive line in the league happened to him.

Creed Humphrey is arguably the best Center in the league. (Yes, I know we passed on him for Boogie Basham).

Joe Thuney is arguably the best Guard in the league.

Trey Smith is a rising star and locks down the other side of the interior.

You can't expect extreme disruption in the interior against the Chiefs. Our chance was on the edges and Groot, Floyd, and Von did nothing against their weakest links on the outside. Ed is still a fantastic player, but he can't do it himself. There are only 2-3 guys in the entire league who can do it themselves against elite competition.

  11. Am I the only person who doesn't want him on the team next year?

Very happy that he has recovered from the terrible on-field accident.

Purely on the field, he doesn't seem to help much and this idea of "everyone is rooting for him" might be taking away from our objectivity.

The best players need to be on the roster. If he's not the best player, it's a distraction.

  12. May I please give you an example that proves this insane idea wrong?

In the 13 seconds game, Josh "mentally overpowered" Mahomes to two game winning drives in the last two minutes. He outplayed him the entire game and left the field a winner with 13 seconds left. Then the defense collapsed and he didn't get the ball again. He went home a loser.

Josh is already there. Are McDermott and the players around him there? Probably not.

Miami is tops on my loathing list

    Cheatriots are a close second

    Chefs are a distant third

Interesting to see so many people hating Miami.

I don't even pay attention to them. Josh Allen is their Daddy and we dominate them in every critical moment.

  14. I think most of us would agree that the Brady Era Patriots were insufferable.

Let's call them a 10/10 in terms of hatred.

If your second favorite team (Lions? Saints?) is a 1/10, where do the Chiefs land?

I'll start. I'm at about a 6 right now. It's more respect that hatred. Yes, Mahomes is annoying and the Swifties thing is bad... but I don't feel the same burning hatred as I did with the Patriots.

    Curious where everyone else stands!

    RE: safety

I can see Kyle Duggar being signed by Buffalo.

I know they were enamored with him before.

Projected free agent contract is $16.5M/yr.

Do feel good about paying that to a safety?

Also, he plays strong safety, which what Poyer plays. We need a free safety. Very similar positions, but not the same.

Compensatory pick comment in 3, 2….

Is this not worth a discussion?

You know it’s TWO third round picks, right? If a minority defensive coordinator is hired to be a head coach, the team he left gets two third round picks.

The question is if Frazier fits that description.
