The only reason Carolina has been stopped is because of Andy Dalton playing like a senior citizen with dementia -

The Panthers just keep throwing the ball for no reason lol -
I'm surprised they haven't made a move on Anthony Richardson by now. I imagine that the Colts wouldn't be asking for much and it was obvious early on (two years ago) that Fields wasn't the guy. Maybe they were always planning on tanking this year.

The Athletic - some grim stats (new Tim Graham piece)

Nobody can beat Brady presnap. Mostly because of the cameras and cheating system though. -

I've seen a lot of posts about the injuries being the main reason the secondary looks so bad. Even if Hairston comes back and plays at a high level, it just doesn't solve the problems. Rapp and Bishop are legitimately awful. This safety combo is the worst I've seen since Donte Whifner, George Wilson, and Byran Scott. Honestly, I would probably take both Wilson and Scott over Rapp/Bishop. Will they even start Hamlin over these guys when he comes back? -
Still awful to listen to months later.

Extremely similar to the last play of the season against the Chiefs in the Conference round. The defense completely prepared for mesh. A corner blitzing free forcing Josh to bail out of the pocket early. The play call doesn't give Josh an outlet and the players on the field don't adjust their route.

I understand what you're saying and I mostly agree. But, Brady has insane issues with personnel decisions and play call tendencies. Beane could add prime Desean Jackson and Tyreek Hill tomorrow but Brady would still be giving Shavers playing time over them. Why? Because that's what he did with Diggs and is currently doing with Cook.

Which would makes sense if Ty Johnson wasn't on the field over him RUNNING ROUTES INSTEAD OF BLOCKING

"Because he doesn't block well!" Then Brady has Johnson run routes poorly that end drives. -

Ty Johnson needs to be off the field on crucial downs. He needs to cut down his route right there. -

Joe Brady might literally only call mesh on third down passing situations. -

This season might be cooked. The talent isn't there and the coaching staff is bottom of the barrel. -

Something interesting I've heard non stop is that if Benford didn't get hurt last year in the AFCC game, we would have won. Did anybody watch the few plays he was in before the injury? The Chiefs were challenging him and winning almost every play. Benford is not the guy you put on the number 1 receiver, he's a system corner like Tre White and Josh Norman. -

This feels like last year when the Yankees decided to pass on adding a lefty arm to reinforce the bullpen at the trade deadline. Then they needed to get out Ohtani and Freeman in game 1 of the World Series. Their only options being Tim Hill and Nestor Cortes who hadn't pitched in over a month. They go with Cortes because they liked him more against Ohtani. Freeman walks it off with a grand slam, the Yankees aren't close the rest of the series. At some point you have to go for the jugular.
