In the year 2525, if man is still alive If woman can survive, they may find 2922 is still 400 years into the future...

Well he's going to look pretty good when you can't defend one pass out of 44. Bill's defense needs to control him rather than let him do whatever he wants. Bengals shut down the edges pretty good. When they went after mahomes they actually kept an eye on him and maintained their Gap integrity so he couldn't run free.

I'm sure glad we got past running every first down

Damn burrow, that was impressive

Very interested to see what Cincinnati does on defense

Present and accounted for. I kind of like to see the Bengals win just for something different. Of course if the Chiefs win maybe they'll become more complacent

Gunner's 2022 Mock Draft (v3 and FINAL - p.17!!)
Comebackkid replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
we definitely need one difference maker that can step in and change the course of a game. high upside is nice but id really rather not wait 2-3 years to find out if a guy is going to pan out. we dont have that time to waste right now. -
Gunner's 2022 Mock Draft (v3 and FINAL - p.17!!)

they do say the best offense is a good defense. One guy in the KC steps up and makes a play on D on any of the last Kc drives and the outcome is totally different. -
With Allen, can the Bills de-emphasize skill positions?
Comebackkid replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
not to mention u have half a billion tied up in one player..it might prudent to protect that player the best you can. -

To me that also sounds a lot like seattle and green bay. (more so seattle) You cant put everything on a great qb and expect him to hold up. hopefully the Bills are able to see the writing on the wall from the past. -
I'm glad you have felt the same way as the bolded txt. while Daboll had done good things it seems he can be very inconsistent. Its up to your field General to put players in the most advantageous positions on the field. yes the player has to execute but, he has the ability by scheme and design to either make their job much harder or easier. a lot of times ive felt like he was just vanilla in design and expected the players to handle the load. We talk about playing elite teams and how much harder it is to defend the wr's and qb. we tend to put a lot of that on the ability of the players but i think at least half of that is that those players are more elite because their coach puts them in positions to have success with out having to work as hard, which increases your chances of having success. How many games has Daboll just came out flat...like had no game plan or that it was like he didnt watch tape to see what the weakness was of the team we were playing. then you have all the head scratching plays where your trying to figure out what the heck he was thinking. I think its very probable that Daboll helped Josh get to where he is but some where along the way Josh and the offense ran away from Dabolls ability to keep up and coach to the level we now need and are now at. Plus it's like things had to get defcon 5 critical levels of something needs to be done NOW before he would make changes. So back to my original post you quoted..it was more about coaches putting Bills players in a system-scheme on the field to where they were in the same situation as players on the Chiefs. You mentioned what Kc does and the scheme those players are in and how it benefits them so i was curious if the players dont have the talent to be in that type of scheme..(which im guessing is what you think for the most part, or if Daboll just isnt designing that type of system for them to succeed in.

it makes u wonder if he's been misused and maybe wasted a bit. his top end speed in the game was in between two of cheetas best runs. As a player and you feel u have all talent and see what other players are doing in your spot, yet your spending most your time on the sidelines. It has to be depressing. Plus your getting older and you feel that clock ticking away. How much do u think this is on the players...rather than coaches for not putting them in a position to be those players?

Rather excited to have a new OC
Comebackkid replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree with this. You take NE and they can afford to plug and play anyone just about because they have seen pretty much everything and not much changes (the knowledge is already in the building)... but with the Bills I think they are still in a learning phase and can benefit from knowledge from sources outside of their little circle so far. As far as the whole Carolina thing, its like the US splitting from Great Britian. If you want to become your own person (team..country) you need to find your own foundation..ideals ...players..coaches...philosophies. Josh Allen -

which...as long as they hire good OC's u have to believe that it makes Josh a much more rounded QB knowledge wise. its like learning more than one martial art in combat. during a fight you pull from the strength of each art you have learned. -
Frazier getting second interview with Joe Schoen and NYG
Comebackkid replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
This a 100% which is why im not on the high pick for an offense player side of the fence. Bucs destroys KC's o line and got to mahomes...shut him down.... week five we were able to do the same and shut mahomes down. thats the only way to stop a great Qb. rather it"s Brady-A rod or Mahomes. -

hopefully Groot just needs that 2nd year to turn the corner. He played great considering the didnt even play the last year before and then playing ..what 5 extra games than college? huge rookie wall to get over there. Even Bruce struggled his first year. Same could be said for Boogie. i think he played 25% of the snaps and had 2.5 sacks. times that by 4 and thats 10 sacks. I think we just need one difference maker vet and it makes the entire D better. -

i guess we'll see what happens in the end. for me personally I think it can be a good thing. I think Daboll was instrumental in the beginning helping Josh get going and not overloading him. But time and time again this season I think he held both Josh and the offense back in games. I think to many times this year he became lackadaisical in game planning and scheme. His red zone play calling for much of the season was abysmal. I dont think he has a great grasp of utilizing all the talent that he has on offense. Yes he had a couple great games in the playoffs but I also felt there were about 4 games he handicapped the offense and cost us wins through out the season. Another thing is he could call a beautiful game, and then the next game all that creativity was gone. Like he had a total lapse in creative thought. I also felt there were games we went against the grain of what a teams defensive weakness was and tried to force something else which had poor results. Most coaches look a lot better when their QB looks good. I think we seen that a lot with Daboll. Good or bad next season will provide us with some answers of how much was Josh and how much was Daboll -
Chief Fans Make Donations to Childrens Hospital
Comebackkid replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
read the article Brett Fitzgerald, who first posted the idea on Facebook, originally had the idea to donate in $13 to Patrick Mahomes’ foundation, but after hearing from a friend that Bills Mafia usually donates to other team’s charities, he decided to change it to Oishei Children’s Hospital. He looked online and found out the hospital was the charity of choice for Josh Allen. He told News 4 in retrospect, he wish he had changed the donation amount to $17, so it didn’t seem like a jab. And as it turns out, Oishei was the perfect place to give to for the guy who started it all. Brett Fitzgerald has a son who has autism and his family cares deeply for their local children’s hospital. He said Bills Mafia should feel honored they’ve started such an incredible trend of giving. “The credit goes to Bills Mafia,” he said. “I’m just some guy who put something on the internet.” damn...what an ass that guy is.... < Sarcasm -
With McDermott, you can't let the perfect be the enemy of the good
Comebackkid replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
exactly...the bills win the coin toss and win the game. ..The narrative changes from everything buffalo did wrong to everything KC did wrong. its all about perspective and sometimes that perspective is being viewed through a pinhole. -
i dont 100% agree... i think as good as the offense is playing, a 1 player upgrade would be minimal. get your d-line worked out and that shuts down a good offense and bolsters the secondary. i dont care how much is invested right now in the D. the D is where we see the biggest gains in a big game. we see things the same way...😃

SB Nation article - Josh a mega star
Comebackkid replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
it is for sure..but, think about rogers..think about mahomes. even russel..(he got the shaft)... that greatness really doesnt dissipate year in and year out. other factors can come into play but elite qbs are elite...especially when everything is on the line. will probably just depend on the game. if your # is called...catch the ball.
