  1. Investment into the community that has been left out of it. Please explain how a 10-year old boy on the east side of Buffalo, neither of whose parents finished high school, living in a crumbling 1880s worker cottage off Doat Street, will have the same shot at success as a 10 year old boy living in Williamsville.
  2. I bet we have at least a couple members of this forum happily signing up
  3. Increased access to education? Free meal programs at schools for kids? Investments in infrastructure in marginalized communities? Programs for lead paint and asbestos removal? Interest-free loan programs for home improvement projects? Targeted investment into low income housing via adaptive reuse projects?
  4. That’s not what the racists are saying lmfao
  5. Pass. Income is income and should be taxed. Really, tipping should just go away in general and workers be paid a fair wage off the bat.
  6. Go to the East Side of Buffalo and tell them to their face that they should just pull themselves out of it. Please, I dare you. I don’t know what it will take to get through (what can laughingly be called) your brain that rugged individualism doesn’t work when the economic institutions others enjoy aren’t available to you. It’s madness.
  7. It’s an episcopal church. They’re the most progressive Christian sect, so this is not surprising. Also not surprising is that James Lindsey doesn’t know this, but he hasn’t stepped foot in a church in his life so.
  8. I want open borders inasmuch as I want it to be as easy as possible to move from nation to nation, both with immigration and travel for education and employment. We have the technology to move anywhere we want on Earth in a matter of hours. It should be a simple process to study in Japan, or to live for a few months in France, and so forth. I think most cultures are compatible with each other, once the proper economic institutions are set up. Our cities were hodge podges of different identities that still maintained their distinct cultural values while occupying the same space. Bro what? Modi has the most difficult coalition he's ever faced! The right wing in India lost substantial ground! I'm so glad your ideology is dying off. "Third worlders." Give me a break.
  9. The kneeling thing was a silly political stunt. Now, I would like the other posters here to explain why they believe white people are being replaced and what the end goal of this is.
  10. Burden of proof is on you, big boy. I don’t believe in that conspiracy. Thanks for coming right out and saying what I thought you would. Helps to know what I’m dealing with here.
  11. They’re the silent majority! We promise you guys!
  12. Elaborate because hoo diggity And the end goal of the “forced integration” is what, exactly?
  13. “We don’t want Black people around” Priors confirmed!
  14. This should about do it for Ukraine too since the right loves Russia so much, for some reason. A shame. We get it, you don’t like Black people.
  15. Yep! Labour is almost guaranteed to take over. The Socialist party appears to have won a healthy majority in Denmark, too. Meanwhile, Sinn Fein is getting stomped in Ireland. France did an atrocious job with assimilating immigrants. European countries don’t have the institutions like we do to assimilate them. I will fully agree to that.
  16. I saw that. I saw Macron called a parliamentary election too, which will be interesting. He’s going to need to form a stronger coalition with Parti Socialiste if he wants to keep going.
  17. IMO, right wing populism is more appealing than left wing populism because it’s easy to understand - “I don’t like you, so I will put this person in power that will stomp you out” whereas left wing populism requires you to read 97 different texts from people who died 200 years ago to have the slightest understanding of their goals. Not entirely thrilled about the amount of votes that nazi Czech Republic guy guy though!
  18. Cool. What’s the population density?
  19. Not surprising. Centrism always wins. Populism bounces between left and right wings every so often, it’s nothing new.
  20. Other costs of living are rooted in costs of housing. We have the highest incarceration rates in the world. More prisons ain't the answer. https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/incarceration-rates-by-country
  21. I think many Democrats would like to cut the military/police budgets.
