  1. He showed his true potential against Kansas City in 2015, IMO:
  2. Fine, but how will this address poor housing, inadequate access to healthy food, complete asymmetry in the educational system, crumbling infrastructure, lack of medical care....
  3. I hope Isabella makes the team for no other reason than my wife's name is Isabella and I got her his jersey last year lol
  4. Jared Polis
  5. This is still moving the goalposts, but let's try this - what policies would YOU propose that would improve inner cities?
  6. How is it NIMBYism when I literally support migrant housing in Buffalo?
  7. It’s really astonishing how you stick to this “”””argument”””””
  8. Oh for Pete’s sake. You want me to name every single city improvement? You’d probably move the goalposts then, too. Name one inner city the GOP has improved and through what policy. Some of us take pride in our jobs.
  9. I am married! We wouldn’t be looking at a new build, more like a first-ring suburb or a more urbanized village.
  10. Im telling you people, endless suburban sprawl is not sustainable!!
  11. Our policies are designed for incremental steady improvement, as with the link about Detroit I already posted. Your policies dont even try to address the problems. The Black Caucus overwhelmingly supported Clinton’s 1993 crime bill. Don’t see how the GOP will fix incarceration problems as their platform is literally “more prisons more prisoners we will be draconian on crime”
  12. Spot on. I especially hate the default tip screen on the Toast registers that make you add an extra 20% when all they did was turn around and pour a coffee in a cup.
  13. We try and we succeed. Republicans do not. So it goes.
  14. See that’s interesting, I did not once mention race. I said “boy” on the east side of Buffalo. As in, poverty transcends race. And, as in, republicans have no clue how to deal with it.
  15. Almost like changing generational poverty will take more than a few years If that’s what you get from what I said, you’re not worth the effort
  16. Detroit has significantly improved and is a model of urban resurgence https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2023/06/struggling-cities-should-look-to-detroit-for-lessons-on-revival/
  17. Investment into the community that has been left out of it. Please explain how a 10-year old boy on the east side of Buffalo, neither of whose parents finished high school, living in a crumbling 1880s worker cottage off Doat Street, will have the same shot at success as a 10 year old boy living in Williamsville.
  18. I bet we have at least a couple members of this forum happily signing up
  19. Increased access to education? Free meal programs at schools for kids? Investments in infrastructure in marginalized communities? Programs for lead paint and asbestos removal? Interest-free loan programs for home improvement projects? Targeted investment into low income housing via adaptive reuse projects?
  20. That’s not what the racists are saying lmfao
  21. Pass. Income is income and should be taxed. Really, tipping should just go away in general and workers be paid a fair wage off the bat.
  22. Go to the East Side of Buffalo and tell them to their face that they should just pull themselves out of it. Please, I dare you. I don’t know what it will take to get through (what can laughingly be called) your brain that rugged individualism doesn’t work when the economic institutions others enjoy aren’t available to you. It’s madness.
  23. It’s an episcopal church. They’re the most progressive Christian sect, so this is not surprising. Also not surprising is that James Lindsey doesn’t know this, but he hasn’t stepped foot in a church in his life so.
