Top corners outside Gilmore would be AJ Bouye from Houston.. but he looks like he's gonna get a big paydayAny idea who are the best cbs available in free agency outside of Gilmore?
It may be utterly irrational, but I just hate the idea of using #10 on a cb.
Elite safety, somehow I'm okay with, but I have a feeling Hooker and Adams by both be gone.
And yes, I still would prefer a qb or wr (Williams or Davis,) but I suspect we go D.
716 and Blokes, have you chatted with MajorBobby about qb? He is high on Mahomes.
I tried to talk about air raid and bad mechanics, but he thought it was mostly an air raid bias.
I don't really know. I like Watson and he seems third choice among a lot of experts.
Sorry this post is meandering all over the place.
Also Logan Ryan from Patriots
Morris Claiborne from Dallas
And Prince amukamara
And I have not talked Mahomes with major Bobby or anybody on these boards yet
I would say the strictest focus points should be his gimmicky offense
- never taken a snap under center
-Already displays atrocious footwork from the gun
-has 2 DISTINCT throwing motions
- turns his back on pressure a lot
- throws all arm, horrible base
He has a few years of learning at the NFL level atleast before he should even play
-
I included Seymour in this as a prime option for replace NRC - http://billswire.usatoday.com/2017/03/07/what-options-are-open-for-the-bills-to-replace-nickell-robey-coleman/
I like the skill set but 5'11", 186 with sub-31" inch arms doesn't scream boundary corner.
Yes he weighed more than I thought
Actually 186 like you said but not really long and rangy like a prototype boundary corner
-
With ya blokesHe was 5'11" at the Combine. I don't think teams are legally bound to list players correctly.
Bills can list him at whatever they want
He was a small 5'11 180LBs at the combine with short arms
Not a guy that's readily built for the boundary

Bills draft plans
Let CB walk - Draft CB
Let Cut DE - Draft DE
Cut - RB draft RB
Cut QB - draft QB
Bills drafting = forever treading water and filling self inflicted holes.
Thats why we're the Bills!
If we did the opposite we'd be the Patriots!

It's definitely what you want out of a playerOverall as in he doesn't get turnovers? He a great tackler/cerebral/run stopper. But he doesn't get turn overs. I would take Hooker every day of the week over Adams just for the simple fact that he has a trait that can't be taught. Ball hawking deep safeties are a LOT harder to come by than run stopping in the box safeties. And Hooker is actually the best Safety since Berry, not Adams.
I want hooker more
But i even realize he isn't as polished as Adams and that's a fact
Adams is a better complete prospect while hooker has more range and ball Hawking and a higher ceiling
You can find a center fielder like Jairus Byrd in the second round as well
Adams ball skills are good just not elite
And everything else is top notch
-
I missed you more.
Now I'm at peace

pretty sure I saw logicHey Bangarang, good to find you here! Any sightings of Logic, Soda Popkinski, Future Success?
No sign of soda yet or future
-
Trade down to the late teens and take Sidney Jones and add a 3rd Rounder.
He's very good as well
And adding more picks in a deep draft is always a great thing
-
ugh. He is perfect otherwise.he is a very humble kid. From same HS in Cleveland as Cardale Jones.
Kid literally lines up under the opposing WRs nose
Has no hesitations about his talents and knows he can play with the best of them
-
Hi TB!Someone that name on these boards! I couldn't have my old name back!
I was honestly missing you Trans. Reunited and it feels so good.
Missed ya man
-
I love him so, so much. He's everything you want in an NFL corner. Unfortunately, he has a chronic hamstring issue.
Unfortunately most top notch athletic corners share that chronic hammy problem
-
Oh, I'm not disagreeing, just saying that wasn't the mindset even just a few years ago.
I understood where you were going and it's crazy that GMs would let that dictate their board 5-10 years ago
If you can get an all pro you grab them
I hope 9 GMs ahead of us think a safety isn't worth a top selection
-
It's very very tough to say let's take Jamal Adams over over a very good young corner in LattimoreMy how times have changed! I don't remember when safeties were valued so high and a terrific CB could come after two satires in the top 10. The DB class is so deep, we may hold off, but then maybe not.
But Adams can straight dictate games
He is built perfectly and can run very well
His leadership skills are off the charts as well as his field awareness
He is the best all around prospect since Eric berry probably
That's hard to pass up
-
+1It's a pity as deep as this draft is that we don't have more picks.
-
added to the OP
I was just grabbing it

This is the deepest CB class in a long long time
Our Bills have a glaring need at CB and at Safety
I feel if we go the Defensive back route I think our best option if Hooker and Adams are gone is Marshon Lattimore CB out of Ohio State
He is tall, long and very fast
He is not afraid of any WR and lines up right under their chin
He has very good hands at the LOS and can re route receivers early
Fluid hips to turn and run with recievers on the 9 route yet agile enough to fluidly rotate back on the comeback
He's got the perfect temperament for a #1 corner and would excel in McDermotts cover 3

Teeflebees?!?I thought I lost you forever.
Kind of like the movie Castaway....I was gone but came back.
Good day!

in MCD's D we need 80% coverage 15% run 5% pressure qb. It was rare that Davis crossed the los.
Alonso would be good in this role. Was he cut? I don't remember? If we got Alonso as insurance depth, z brown back, aj Klein and Ragland with p brown we would have a lot of depth but not one true all star to pin threat hopes in. Bradham would have been nice at slb, fwiw. Maybe better than Ragland. I don't see anyone I want at mlb other than Klein and that's not certain.
Completely agree that Bradham would've been a GREAT SAM Backer in this system
Hes not a 34 guy but was coming into his own In an attacking 43
-
Strictly from an X's and O's standpoint and a technical standpoint he isn't ready to play the 1 or 2 CB spot yet
Especially for a coach that goes cover 3 plenty
He struggles with finding the ball in the air and isn't exactly tall and long
He also struggles with his press
I like the kids promise but wouldn't feel comfortable with him as a starter
-
Not correct.
My bad
He went to the bears and NE first
But he definitely started his career with us like I said
-
Nothing wrong with starting threads to get discussions going 716 ,but when you go overboard its not very fair to all the discussions already started and getting pushed back IMO.
Posters read the News and see most online articles so every story doesn't need a thread attatched to it when you have 10 threads you could post it under. Why make mods merge threads?
Do it yourself...
I hear ya bud
This place is starting to feel a bit more like home with all our friends finding their way over here
Glad you made it
-
I've started about 5 threads in my 6 years and change here and sometimes I worry that is too much.
Dude I have 500 football topics I want to talk daily lol
Whether it's bills news, NFL news, combine talk, draft talk, FA, X's and O's I can talk football forever lol
Been my passion since I was 4

you are absolutely correctIf I recall, Rex more often than not had Washington taking on blockers. Thus, taking one of the best penetrating DTS in college college football and not utilizing him correctly at all.
I think mcdermott can develop Washington.
Rex wasted his talents
-
[/quot]We can blame the mods all we want but the posters are what really messed that board up.
If you didn't agree with the loud mouthed jackasses you were ignored, called a troll and insulted on a regular basis. If you tried to stay positive and up-beat about the team, coaching staff and management you were accused of drinking the Koolade. And over the past few months those same jackasses would start the same threads over and over and over.
I can't even tell you how many Taylor threads were started.
In all honesty I think the mods just gave up knowing the board was coming to an end. Seriously to keep that **** show under control would have been a full time job for at the very least two mods.
Here's to hoping the doom and gloom, know-it-all jackasses don't follow everyone here.
I agree,
One poster was averaging between 30 to 40 threads a week. He wasn't just eating the QB, he was eating up the board. Standingbuffalo/admin couldn' t do anything about it because the guy wasn't breaking any rules.
I'm not naming names because its is a new beginning for everyone...
I've always been a thread starter because I like to start conversations and I probably had thousands over the years
If I did start 2-3-4 in a day I would spread them out over 4 hours a piece to not spam
My boy Bruce did 5 at once
Miss him tho
