  1. Can you and the bbmb crew leave the "root for a new team" nonsense at your now defunct site.

I don't use that with people that don't like Bills moves. I use it with people that actively root against the Bills. I'm sure the difference will fly right over your head, doesn't take very long around here to see who the dumb trolls are.

  2. Bottom line is he is only here because he took a massive paycut to his guaranteed money.

Taylor will say all the right things like all players do, but it's naive to think Taylor chose to stay here for significantly less than what he could have made in the open market.

Lots of posters swore Taylor would not budge on his deal and that he could do just as well or better elsewhere. Others like me said teams may wise up after seeing Osweiler's deal blow up in Houston's face.

As it turns out...I have seem to have faired better in my prediction.

Of course what people here don't know is some of your other predictions. Like the one that EJ was going to win the starter battle... or that the offense would look better with EJ in 2015... or that the offense wouldnt lose a step against the Jets with EJ starting... or that Tyrod and the Bills would end up in court over the injury guarantee.

But good job Crusher, pat yourself on the back for this one.

The New England Patriots are considering trading Malcolm Butler to the New Orleans Saints for Brandin Cooks per sources

So before everyone freaks out, it looks like Gilmore could end up being a more expensive lateral move from what they are already had. As usual it's the offense we need to be afraid of.

  4. let's go re-visit the Pats sign Hogan thread in its first days. lots of dumb move, you can have him, they overpaid for him. they'll put Gilmore in a position to be successful, just like they did with Hogan.

Stop with the Hogan crap. He was completely average in New England. Hogan was not a bad signing for them, it would have been for us. I think Gilmore ends up not living up to the contract, but they can afford to overpay so they'll be fine. I just hate how everyone is suddenly scared because the Big Bad Patriots signed our scared-to-tackle CB that just 2 days ago everyone was saying no one way he is worth the money,

  5. Perfect guy for them. Better than Ryan or Butler or anyone they would be able to draft. Ryan is a ufa and wanted to get paid.

He will cover other team's number 2 WRs 1-1 and they will double the #1s

So you're saying if you send your number two receiver on a vertical route, the Pats defensive scheme can easily be defeated?

The expected price tag for free agent CB Stephon Gilmore for the #Patriots is slated to eclipse $14M per year, Im told. Hefty but worth it

I see the media has already started with "if the Pats did it, it must be worth it." I'm sure the fans will follow suit too. Of course if we had paid Gilmore $14 mil per year we would have been mocked relentlessly.

  7. Im sorry. I dont buy the sending out feelers bit when:

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Mike Glennon's impending contract with the Bears is expected to be for three years at an average of $14.5 million per season.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if numerous NFL GMs think Glennon has more value than Tyrod moving forward. Don't forget Russell Wilson fell to the 3rd round for size concerns, and Brock Osweiler got a monster contract. GMs have no clue what they're doing.

I think Tyrod realized to make more money he would have had to go to Cleveland, and he wouldn't even be the first FA this season to take less with another team to stay away from Cleveland (Tony Jefferson was the other). Like they said it's a smart deal for both sides. I don't know how can anyone can be unhappy at this point, if you want the Bills to draft someone that can still happen.

  8. Every move we made yesterday was a big surprise, including Hauschka this morning. I hadn't heard anything about these players being on the Bills radar, and Tyrod leaks were split 50/50 on whether or not he was saying. A restructure was seen as a pipe dream.

I kind of like this new OBD. I appreciated when we got leaks before but everything seems a lot more professional now. And I think it all started when Derek Boykin took over as VP of Communications, so maybe that is related.

  9. I'm just happy the decision is finally made.....I'm not a huge TT fan, but he probably was the best option right now....Let's see what he does this season and re-evaluate afterwards...

That's what's so crazy about the restructure, we basically gave ourselves an extra year of evaluation with little cap casualty if we decide to cut him loose. Even if you're not a huge fan of Tyrod this deal is not bad at all, unless you wanted the Bills to outright tank this season.

  10. Glad to see the great Tyrod debate is over. I will support TT again while under center but not a fan of this move at all. I see another canned coaching staff after 3 years of hell due to no passing game.

My son will have his own kids before this team makes the playoffs again.

I don't understand what the issue is. What if the Bills draft a QB in the first 3 rounds? Does anyone really have a problem paying Tyrod $10 million AND eliminating the dead cap problem with the old contract? I mean seriously even if you don't like Tyrod you have to admit that is a more than fair contract for what he brings to the team. And it's not like some better option was coming along.

IMO the only reason anyone should be upset with the restructure is if you want the Bills to tank and rebuild. I don't agree with the strategy but at least it's reasonable.

  11. @jeremyWGR

Tyrods win - Can still earn about 30 in two years.

Bills win - Guarantee, Cap hit both drop. Dead money (8 mil) if its one and done.

The other positive for Tyrod, I think, is that if he plays well the next 2 years he will make more in the following years than he would have on his previous deal.

Sounds like a good and smart deal for both sides.
