  1. The optimism about Moore after we signed him got way way out of control. Many people on here thought he was going to have a bigger role than Keon Coleman. Fans acted like because he's never had good QB play that means his entire career up to this point didn't count. It turns out the NFL does a pretty good job of evaluating its own talent. There's a reason a top 35 pick was cut by his original team after just two seasons, his next team showed no interest in bringing him back, and he was still available to be signed after the draft. People have to learn to let their draft crushes go and accept that some players can have all the talent in the world and still never acclimate to the NFL. Before this game I would have given him a 70% chance of making the roster. Now I'd say just below 50%, and it's only that high because I think they may keep 6 WRs due to Samuel's injury. If the final spot comes down to Moore vs Shavers I don't know how the coaches can look the locker room in the eyes and tell them Moore won that competition. Shavers has played better and he contributes more on special teams. In fact I might put Wilkerson ahead of Moore at this point.
  2. Carter is shockingly bad. He's getting stonewalled by 3rd string IOL.
  3. Ah that sucks for Gore, he was having a great game. Did the one thing he couldn't do.
  4. No, it's in response to every play he's had in preseason so far.
  5. Gore has looked better. And I'm no big fan of his given his athletic limitations but at least he finds the right hole and bounces off of guys.
  6. I'm sorry but Ray Davis has shown nothing this preseason. He has no vision and hasn't shown anything as a route runner/pass catcher either.
  7. If the coaching staff is being honest, Shavers and Wilkerson should both be ahead of Moore.
  8. Notice how our offense immediately looks functional with Trubisky in there over White.
  9. Hmm not tonight they don't. Walker had a great rush on that last 3rd down so that was good to see. Other than that one play that duo has been pushed around all night IMO.
  10. Strong, Jackson, and Coddrington are taking turns getting cooked. The problem is at least one of those guys very well might have to play snaps this year. Get well soon Max.
  11. You know what Shavers has looked good. That's a great release to get wide open and was just overthrown.
  12. My god Moore has been brutally bad. Two drops and he showed poor vision on his designed quick pass.
  13. Actually laughed out loud at that blatant facemask in slow motion
  14. Yeah that's my biggest concern coming out of this game. Because those guys are going to play important snaps this year and they have been totally ineffective even against the Bears 2nd OL.
  15. @GunnerBill I wrote your thread for you. Good night: Bad night: https://www.buffalobills.com/team/players-roster/
  16. True but only in the sense that everyone else gets an arrow down, while he gets an arrow pointing sideways. Progress!
  17. I know Dane Jackson was never great but he was at least a competent player for us a couple years ago. Tonight he looks like someone slipped Benadryl into his Gatorade.
  18. Hancock looks flat out better than Bishop
  19. Hey that was a decent pass rush from Landon Jackson
  20. Sanders and Walker have been disappointing after a promising performance last week. I'm keeping my eye on them and they're just not getting any push.
  21. Maybe performance related? That was my thought.
  22. Shavers continues to be more impactful than Moore.
  23. That's not how McDermott and Babich are going to see it. Bishop took a terrible angle in coverage and gave up a TD. Guys up front are not getting any push. You can't act like these reps are totally unimportant, if they were the coaches wouldn't bother dressing anyone that will make the roster.
  24. I would have liked to see Sanders and Walker push the pocket even a little bit, and Bishop is a starter who gave up an awful TD. Not going to overreact but those are legitimate problems.
  25. I mean Chicago definitely wants to look good more than we do, but 2nd string pass rush has been non-existent and Bishop got cooked on that TD.
