well this is depressing..was listening to a scout on WGR....he says there most likely will not be a player like McDavid or Eichel for another 10 years....there is a sizeable droppoff from 2 to 3....I think we all knew this but it being reiterated by a scout was painful.

It's really to the point where I just can't care anymore...for whatever reason the team is playing way better than any team at the bottom..,,it's slipping away....nothing anyone can do. Get out of this thread

I know for my own personal reasons why Im so into the tank...i remember in 2006 coming out of the lockout when the sabres were not expected to be any good. They took the NHL by storm with exciting hockey....WNY rallied around this team....everywhere you went there was sabres talk...cars flying sabres flags...people walking around town in sabres swag....the bars filled up with sabres fans wanting to watch the games with other fans....the atmosphere around WNY was awesome...I know my wife and I would plan our evenings off together around the sabres games. My father inlaw is a season ticket holder and the crowds at the arena were full of energy...I would love to have that feeling every year for the next 10 -15 years...thats what 30th place means to me. OEL is an absolute stud.

The chatter is basically only if the sabres secure last place and lose the lottery...this would give us Eichel as a bargaining chip to get to the number 1 spot. Thats the only way a possible trade to 1 will happen....so the trade will begin with the #2 pick and much much more....some thoughts would be...#2, Risto, Reinhart/Girgs, our second #1 and probably another prospect. I personally would not do it but it seems the sabres would be primed to do it with the talent they have accumulated.

Let's not let it ruin it! Let's get this baby back on track! ARZ still looks competitive and the sabres are currently down 4-0! Tank on baby!

McEichel is a combination of McDavid/Eichel as the representation of what 30th place guarantees...a 20% shot at McDavid and a 100% shot at Eichel....The tank isnt about McDavid its about Eichel. McDavid would be the cherry on topquiet out there...not sure anyone knows the coyotes are playing

the fact that your referred to Eichel as "McEichel" in your ironic championship scenario shows that you do not know what you are talking about and therefore can not be taken seriously.

There are people that just dont get...do not acknowledge these people....lets keep this thread strong! we are almost there folks! Im waiting to go back and read my up and down reactions in this thread for a good laugh when its all over....hopefully thr prize is waiting for us

Hearing the cheers for the coyotes goal by the fans seemed a bit much....I've been to a few games this year and when the other team scored I just quietly smiled....I Have been in full on tank since last year but the cheering seemed kind of low...but that's just me and all will be forgotten if we can lock up McEichel And I was cursing gionta...but I will take the 6pt lead after tonight....hellz yeah Just get this miserable season over with so I can start cheering on my team that I have missed for the past 2 years
