What else can you drum up after the fact

your findings have zero binding on future events beyond coincidence

Wow .. for a "Hall of Famer" you're awfully cynic.

Let me see what else I can drum up after the fact .. and you actually indicating past performance (Pats D) doesn't influence future events ... WOW ... guess you must work in Vegas doing point spreads ... as I'm sure their weekly spreads don't look at past performance.

After the fact .. the Bills have lost 5 games all season ... last time we could say this after week 15 games is 20 years ago.  HMMM sorry to go so far back "to drum up after the fact" .. maybe that's the last time you posted given your longevity a positive thing on this board.

Actually, yesterday's loss was all about Josh Allen...again.

Believe it or not, if your offense can't get you to 20, you aren't going to win many, if any, games against good teams.

The problem with getting excited over wins against 4 and 5 win teams is that those types of teams don't show up in the playoffs.

We need a QB who can generate offense, consistently, against good teams.

Well, we do if the Bills are ever to go anywhere.

My question is what is the end game with Allen?  When will the plug be pulled and how long do we have to wait to get there?

Miami wasted six seasons on Ryan Tannehill.

Don't you think its a little premature to "pull the plug" ... as it relates to Tannehill .. he actually has somewhat resurrected himself in Tennessee.  I believe Josh has "intangibles" that other players on offense will follow.  His effort when surrounded by (though better than last year) weaker weapons speaks volumes .. he has more rushing TD's than Lamar.  His runs on 4th down are epic on 2nd effort.  I am a homer and feel they will work this offseason more on his accuracy and bigger targets (vs. the though fine smaller receiving corp he has today).

  3. Pats Home Games in 2019

Steelers Score 3 points (Conner, Ju Ju)

    Jets - 14 points (Bell)

    Giants - 14 points (Saquon)

Browns - 13 points (with OBJ, Chubb)

Cowboys - 9 Points (with Dak, Zeke, and Cooper)

Chiefs - 23 Points (widely considered the best offense in NFL)

Average Year to Date 12.67 Points ... and for what it's worth their Road Avg Points against is 13 Points

Bills scored 17 points (in December) .. that's 1/3 more points than league average .. only second to aforementioned Chiefs ... may vs. some throwing the arms up at 17 points (with our current offensive talent) .. let's give (although it pains me to say this) some credit to the Pats Defense.

We win or lose with our defense .. yesterday wasn't that squads day vs. what the Pats Defense did to us.

What made you decide to ruin an otherwise perfectly decent thread by adding large chunks of snark and also demeaning those around you?  Is that your clickbait style or are you an ass?

Cripple .. I don't get the angst against the OP either ... all the poster was saying is to quote Martin Lawrence from Bad Boys II .. to WOOSAH and enjoy the positive trend vs. the prior decades of lack luster performance whereby some on this board .. can't take a step back to embrace and respect the work done by this current regime to date.  TRUST THE PROCESS!!

  5. To my surprise given our defensive stats of late .. but the GOAT had much more time unobstructed than Josh did and they the Pats ran all that underneath crap (why we can't seem to double Edelman every play is beyond me) ... bottom line against many a playoff team we've had chance at end of the game to tie/win.  So we can blah blah blah about points per game .. but we aren't KC .. we are built today on our defense and stopping opponents  ... and yesterday that side of the ball had the Pats pinned down to the 1 yard line and let them march the entire length of the field and net of his early fumble (great play by Poyer) made Burkhead look like tackle breaking Riggins getting into the endzone.

  6. Can we reflect on the 2018 Draft Class.  From a longevity perspective ... I'll take our Josh all day long.

Baker -- cashed in on endorsements .. had a ton of talent around him (more than our Josh) and crapped out this year

    Darnold - seeing ghosts

Lamar - Obvious MVP this year .. but my concern is given his playing style .. can he continue long term (3+ years as thread asks)

Rosen - to quote Ocho Cinco ... Child please .. two teams ... and the comfort of riding the pine for both teams

Our Josh will only continue to grow (yes I yelled yesterday at the overthrows in the end zone .. but he makes plays net of Lamar that the others just can't do)  ... look at the evolution from year 1 to year 2 ... I'm all in on Allen

  7. The man is a "visionary" and a WNY legend.  To build this on ode to classic Italy on Transit Road by the airport and host many a festive wedding event (I attended a few on site), picture Tuscany in WNY at minus 3 degrees in February.  Bottom line he supported (I probably think letter aside still does) the Bills for decades and lost it last year, but put it in writing versus just yelling at the TV as many of us do.

AJ Green on a 3 yr deal front loaded.

Then draft front 7 players with first three picks

I'm an AJ fan .. but sorry AJ is way too fragile and old for this investment ... can't believe I'm saying this .. but in comparing just two injury prone WR's ... Sammy though equally fragile is younger and could be cheaper if cut by Chiefs.  That said ... prefer us to use the draft (said to be best WR draft in years) to find our WR solution.

  9. Rest of season ... and I know in the heat of the moment in Garrett's melon this is lost .. but Rudolph also was victim of vicious hit that knocked him unconscious earlier this season.  My point is swinging a helmet at that guy's head is even more out of line.  He's not the best QB, but I've earned even more respect for Rudolph's toughness as he didn't back down and hats off to Pouncey ... that's protecting your brother post altercation .. mad props to him as well.

No. If Beane/Mcd have reservations about Allen draft a QB somewhere as an insurance policy.

I couldn't imagine it would be a 1st rounder at this point. That's bound to be a WR.

OK . .my bad .. leave we'll enough alone .. insurance policy QB is different than Elite as I read earlier .. hence my confusion ... thanks for the clarity and though worth nothing I agree ... ala what they did with Jackson from UB to test the waters on QB options later on or UDFA (in the event they find the next Gardner Minschew).

I'm quite confident Allen doesn't have it. I'd like him to but don't think he has.

Your talking like mcdermott and Beane have to be resigned to the fact that if Allen doesn't pan out they go - not necessarily. If they draft an insurance policy it would be an intelligent decision.

Yes. But I want an elite QB.

So to be clear ... in 2020 you want to spend our #1 pick (call it bottom half of 1st round) on a QB?  And who is that "elite QB" you covet in the 2020 class that won't cost future draft picks to move up?

Then I'd like you to find me long term coach/GM that used 1st round draft picks inside of 3 years that were one and the same meaning both regimes made both picks

  12. 12 minutes ago, london_bills said:

The gm and coach are not going to want their careers to be defined by an inconsistent QB

Name me a GM & Coach who screwed up on a Round 1 QB and remained long term .. doesn't happen.

The reason you draft a top 10 pick QB is your team sucks/sucked ... if your team still sucks 1-2-3-4 years later ... you're dumped.

    It's Year 2 .. R-E-L-A-X .... read below on 4th Quarter Comebacks ...  I'll take that all day long!

The other statistic that stamps Allen as a winner is his number of fourth-quarter, game-winning drives. Over the past two seasons, Allen has directed six game-winning drives, according to Pro Football Reference, tying him for second in that category with Russell Wilson. Only Drew Brees has more, with eight.

I hope the team is nowhere near as patient as you seem to be.

We will know everything we need to know about Josh Allen at the end of this season, assuming he plays all the games and stays healthy.

No reason to piss away a 3rd season with him as the QB.

Wow 6-3 and we're pissing away a season.

Yes Josh has ways to improve .. but Josh has also led many a 4th Quarter comeback .. I will take that all day long.

I watch this too much. "MAN ALIVE"

OK ... not sure this is " Your favorite highlight, be it a player, a play or pump up video" with the last few seconds or maybe we can edit that ending out :)

But does show for those on this board who don't know (if too young) or forgot .. how special Eric Moulds was (especially when compared to current 2019 WR corp) and with a little old school Andre Reed sprinkled in & Doug Flutie Magic.  But just shows .. .now 20+ years later the fact the Patriots still get benefit of the Refs call even in the 90's.

Totally clean hit - nothing dirty, just great technique -  lead with the shoulder, wrap up, tackle.

LOVE the Old School Clip ... though old . .maybe I'm not old enough as never had seen this before ... thanks for sharing ... now I know who Mike Stratton is and love the hit heard around the world
