If that happens I like our chances against anyone in the league.

Hey you kids! Out of the pool...
beerme1 replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You guys wouldn't know what to do with something like that!! Buch a friggin angels Side note heard someting funny on Sirius the othe day. Producer chimes up with this gem for a pick up line: Is that keg in your pants? Cause I sure would like to tap that ass!! I laughed out loud. But then I'm an idiot -
Actually next year they will be in very good shape cap wise. Certyainly not hell. But think about this for a minute, I find what you're saying reasonable and hard to believe at the same time. Draft picks? When WE have a legitimate shot at the cup this year? Rental or not, now is the time to go for it. This time may never come around again. And boy do I know that feeling I am amazed actually with the D this year. I thought for sure losing Alex would hurt this team badly. Losing McKee next year most certainly will hurt. Better to go for it right now imo because as I have previously stated, I don't see Jay coming back after the way Darcy has handled him. I wouldn't forget that, and I don't think he will either especially when the Leafs come calling sometime in June or July.
-
Ergo, the success MM had here will be recreated in Miami. BWawawawawawawaaaaa Let them take him.
-
Then don't you want to add...1967.. I laughed when I saw that line because I thought of the chit between Leaf and Sabres fans at the arena. But to hear it from a Devil's fan, well what can you say? 2002 or something like that
-
Yes yes, stupid rules! Well Buffalo can afford him straight up. Alright then how bout this? McCabe, Sundin and a seventh round pick for Marty? But we still end up with McKee next year!!
-
Nice to see you bash everyone!!
-
Yes you are familiar with not making the playoffs, sorry it is kind of new to me. We had a good run that always fell short! I'm glad you appreciate that McCabe is good value and Sundin is not. You will not get to re sign Jay. Darcy has pissed on him too many times and the guy is UFA and not likely to forget how Regier has handled him. p.s. if the Leafs were to pay half of the 6. something due Sundin next year would you take it? A seventh round pick for Biron? Fine I'll give you that then
-
Even if you knew you would win the cup by making this deal? Really? Or how about this then, Sundin for Biron straight up? We'll ship McCabe to Vancouver for Bertuzzi and either way, we are still grabbing McKee as UFA this summer. Oh ya, that Sundin comment will make at least one person here happy.
-
Of course this will not happen but...in my confused brain I propose send Brian McCabe to the Sabres for Marty. McCabe is a UFA this off season and will get 5 mil which Buffalo can afford. Especially since Jay McKee will sign in Toronto as a UFA The Leafs coud really use a goalie because, well you know. And what do the Sabres need more than anything in exchange for Biron in hopes of making a cup run? I think McCabe might be just the answer that could get them to the finals again!

Sure could use the FU smilie here!!

This is great news for us! We will have company at the bottom

Well everywhere I look you seem to make note of how a call went in the Leafs favor. Laughing criticism? Sure looks like whining to me. Like when you whine about Sundin not getting a penalty? But you fail to mention the Sabres scored during a Sundin penalty? Speaking of which, did you even notice that the Leafs were shorthanded 10 or 11 times? Of course not. It's better for you to whine that the Leafs get calls from the refs. Tonight's Leaf game (just so you know) there were two non calls in the early part of the 1st that should have been penalty's to Ottawa but weren't called. One was a high stick that caught Klee's face and I think he's lucky because it looked like it was going to be a nasty eye injury but guess what??? No call from the ref. Nope, not even at home in Toronto on a Saturday night HNIC game that you seem to think makes the refs treat them better. Please, enough of your bias already. Thanks -

Yes, no and yes It was a very cool ceremony for Pat. He ran longer than he was supposed to and started to get a little choked up. Usual lousy game, but my crew had a great night out at the Pearl, The Harbour Club and afterward The Cobblestone. It was a great night. -

I really think that besides getting off your soapbox, you should apply to be a Maple Leaf. Your whining is easily up to their level. -
Game day against the Leafs and no cheap shots yet?
beerme1 replied to beerme1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As opposed to the goons I still see wearing Schony or Korab jerseys huh? Meh, this team really could use a piece of chit or two like Daoust or Leeman! But please, refrain from throwing Wendel into that group. Wendel was a player any team would want. Gordie. -

My ears indeed!! Holy crap! And you listened to the whole lot of that drivel? Yikes. -
Leafs are dying and likely will not make the playoffs. (enjoy that) I will be in sec 201 tonight and will enjoy the Patty moments. Raising his jersey will be a pretty cool thing. The Leafs must win and will play like they never have when coming here. I expect a tough game with a few chop shots from both sides. And AD, keep track of who gets how many bad calls from the refs. Don't piss me off or I'll spill my beer down the back the guy in front of me

This statement from you confirms that you are some assclown who gets to use the computer when your parents have left the house. Of course this is from the Source....

Well he not the best all time, but from your list I say Bob Probert. He was a tough SOB and had a couple of big power forward years to boot.

Now Mike Mularkey's brother quits in Buffalo
beerme1 replied to beerme1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with your thoughts. I think Reagan expected this to turn into a hard board which even with the recently elected people to the County, I believe will happen. Just a matter of when and then the control board would have the teeth that Regan was looking for. I think they have had some influence on the legislators and our boy Joel but, not enough to matter other than we have had to pay more. Not that that's surprising! But I guess without them we would be even worse off???? -
"Campbell quits county control board" "I find myself in a situation where my character, integrity and honesty has been challenged. I don't need that. . . . "Campbell, a retired president of Dunlop Tire Corp., had taken advantage of taxpayers and would suffer embarrassment if the disclosure received widespread media attention. " "Then he announced his departure and refused to speak with reporters as he donned his coat and left. " We have such a beautiful area here and yet we can't get out of our own way to make things better here. We have too many people in charge who are just slackers, have no stones or want to feed off the public trough all their life. Not that this guy has been eating at the trough all his life, but c'mon! You take a job like this and are then ineffective and think you won't be srutinized? Why take the job in the first place? NO STONES! http://www.buffalonews.com/editorial/20060224/1035003.asp
