  1. I love how everyone loves this example. Yet they never include the teams who have succeeded through free agency.
  2. Those players we are trading for were once a draftee. Were simply trading our current pick for a player that was already picked. So whats the difference? I understand if the players were old, but that is not the situation with this trade. Briggs is 27 and Turner is 25.
  3. Offensive lineman stats are about as gross as it gets. I played offensive line for years. Some of the worst lineman had multiple pancakes and takedowns, while the better lineman were driving people out of the way.
  4. Why would Tennessee be willing to give up their 1st and 3rd round picks, when Chargers GM AJ Smith has publicly said that he would be willing to make a trade for less than that?
  5. And that of course has nothing to do with a porous defensive line. Not at all.
  6. Wow. Every post makes you sound more and ignorant about the Turner subject. You took the thought directly out of my mind.
  7. Would you like to make a bet on that? Im still waiting for my $40 that someone else lost to me on this board.
  8. How is saying "yes we are interested", showing other teams our hand? All we said is that we are interested. Oh my goodness.
  9. No. All I have been doing all thread is pointing out that your posts are irrational and say many things that can not be proven. I never said Turner would definately be a good running back for our team. Go back through our posts. Now lets go through your posts (paraphrasing): "Turner was an "OK" running back for San Diego." Faustus and I responded that he is averaging 6 yars per carry. "Turner is a "good" backup running back, but if we traded for him I hope he would do even better than what he is doing in San Diego Now" So you want him to have better than 6 yards per carry year in Buffalo. Well atleast your not being irrational. Lets not forget your best post "my sister could run behind that offense" I could go on, but I think you get the point. I never said Turner would be awesome here. I was simply showing you that some of your points are generalizations and ridiculousness all rolled into one.
  10. You realize that since this was at the owners meeting, and the clubs he was speaking about are publically known (Buffalo, Greenbay .. etc), that all a club would have to do to see if he was lying was to call the GM from the other club? Right? Oh yeah. Were too much.
  11. Can you prove this or are you just making random generalizations about something you can, in no way, prove?
  12. If your definition of rumor is: Chargers GM AJ Smith admitting that there was a lot of activity at the recent owner meeting involving him, and teams, about Michael Turner. Then yes, its just a rumor. edit: another rumor is that the Chargers would be willing to let Turner go, for a swap of first round picks. AKA, what the Jets did to acquire Thomas Jones ... except Turner is much younger.
  13. On 157 carries, he has averaged 6.0 yards per carry. You can have your opinion that you don't see Turner as a good first string back, but to say that he has been anything less than excellent in San Diego is ridiculous. If he was not excellent, then teams would not be interested in him.
  14. Are you looking at the words on the computer screen, and thinking about what you are writing before clicking "Add Reply" ??? The guy has averaged 6.0 yards per carry since he has been drafted. You want him to be "much better" than 6.0 yards per carry???
  15. I corrected and highlighted the corrected parts with red, in your post above.
  16. The best line in the blogs (taken from post above this): "which is bad in Buffalo because people are super sensitive to anything negative said about their hometown."
  17. "OK-but-nothing-spectacular"? 500 yards, 6.3 avg, Seven, 20+ yard runs, and 24 first downs. "OK-but-nothing-spectacular"? Edit: No one gave Davis the chance to become a full-time starter so we don't know how he would have done as a starter.
  18. He asked. We answered. As Boondck put it: just words right? Oh, OK! Was'nt sure what you were referring to.
  19. Williams? How is he limited? Maybe im missing something.
  20. Then dont complain when you get the responses you do. A typical post of yours would be: Topic Question: What do you guys thinking of trading for Schaub? (example) LSI's answer: Sure. One word for you my friend: depth.
  21. Situations change year from year. LT could break his leg, Larry Johnson could have a bad year ... etc. Or Turner could become just as good as LT or LJ. Or maybe he could bust. Everyone has their preconceived notions and they aren't going to change them now.
  22. I don't understand this mentatility that the draft (a bunch of rookies) and training camp could turn us from a 5 win team to a 12 win team (just an example).
  23. No matter what anyone says, you probably are not going to change your mind. So why bother? I will only say that I sincerely hope that Turner does not go to another team and then become "that player we could have had" ... that one who may become a perennial pro-bowler. Thats because you rarely know what you are talking about.
  24. Why does the mis-spelling of a name in a post, invalidate the information? NOTE: I'm not saying I believe or agree with what he is saying. I am simply saying that just because someone mis-spells a name does not invalidate them or their information.
  25. First of all: JP Losman getting a big contract extension soon? Secondly: Those two "solid" fixtures (if they turn out to be just that), will want big money once their rookie contracts are completed and knowing Buffalo, we will not pay them.
