I just don't know what to make of this board and our fans these days.  To the uninformed observer, if you just looked at the threads on the first page you'd assume this was a bottom-feeding squad.  The Bills are #3 in scoring offense and scoring defense, +4 in takeaways, and are right in the position most expected them to be when the season began.

Nobody ever won the Super Bowl in October, and history is replete with scads of teams that looked "unbeatable" at this juncture and didn't lift the Lombardi.

Lately, the issue is with <yawn> Dorsey again...bad gameplan, can't get the ball to anyone other than Diggs, yada, yada, yada.  What I saw Sunday night was a slow start on offense fueled by an untimely fumble, a drop, and a fantastic tip/interception by the Giants on a pass headed to Knox for a big gainer.  When the team returned from halftime they marched down the field twice for TDs and were a fingertip catch away from icing the game.

Is everything perfect?  Of course not!  But it never is, and crucifying Dorsey on October 18 -- two weeks after he was called brilliant for his gameplan vs. Miami -- is the perfect lens through which to view Bills fans.

Maybe a lot of you really have nothing else to do but sit around and dream up wild conspiracy theories about how Josh could force his way out of Buffalo, psychoanalyze whether Brian Daboll and Sean McDermott have a blood feud, or criticize the Bills for using Diggs as their first option in the passing game.

They lost two games by a total of 11 points!

The ONLY thing that matters is that the Bills grind out wins so they put themselves into decent playoff position, and that they are playing their best football in DECEMBER.

"But it's a fan message board.  That's what we do."

Ok.  You be you.  I'll continue to look at what is going right, share my opinions in an upbeat way, and show some faith in the players and coaches to work on what they need to work on.  This can still be a very special season; the league is wide open.

    Go Bills!

    18-2, Babyyyyyy!!!

I agree with your analysis.  But the lynch mob that is wanting to fire McDermott or Dorsey after a loss or a lack luster win do not represent the main stream Bills fan.  Most Bills fans appreciate what we have and what Beane and McDermott have accomplished.

These sad sacks are just miserable and will always find something to get mad at.  These are the same people that wanted to fire Daboll two years ago, and now they want him back.

Don't let these few whiners color your opinion of the best fan base in the NFL.

    Go Bills!!!

I just went to the grocery store.   I met two Bills fans.  Had a nice conversation.

There are alot of Bills fans relocated in Vegas as well as the many that visit Vegas.

Heartbreaking loss today, but not unexpected.

Why can't we match up well against Jacksonville?

Went to Kennett Brewfest in Kennett Square, PA today with a Sabres hat on. No less than 6 people came up to me with some version of "Mafia?" then struck up a conversation with me, a complete stranger. It's awesome. Anywhere I go. Anywhere. If I fly the flag someone will come up to me and make conversation based on a piece of apparel. It's great. LFG Buffalo!

I live in Las Vegas.  Most every time I wear a Bills hat out I get into a conversation with a Bills fan or at least a "Go Bils"

The Bills Mafia is a close knit family

NFL or NCAA, is there ever a 47 yd FG attempt that doesn’t make you think…

    Wide Right

Every time I see a 47 yarder I do think of wide write.

Don't mind the poster that are obstinate and want to make you feel foolish.

    That is their problem.

This Josh Allen is my favorite one. If he can keep his head at this level for every game....He will pretty much be a top 1 QB going forward.

The question is.....can he keep his head this cool when the going gets tough.

    That is a good point.

I believe Sunday's game vs Jacksonville will be a good test to see if Josh can refrain from dropping back into "hero ball" Josh.

Jacksonville always gives us a difficult challenge.  With the travel to London and the fatigue that goes along with crossing several time zones, Josh could slip back into some less desireable habits.

It will be interesting to see if the turnovers go up this week.

    Go Bills!!!

I've been a Bills fan for over 50 years now. That will easily go down as one of my favorite regular season games ever... Easily...

    What a game!

    GO BILLS!!!

From one old guy to another,  I totally agree.  Nothing better than cutting the Dolphins down to size.

Every win over the fins is sweet revenge for the 20 in a row.

This will be an enjoyable win to savor.

Also,  we will adjust to the loss of White and move on.

    Go Bills!!!

Bills sort of did it in the past. They had two back to back west coast games and stayed on the west coast instead of traveling back.

Don't recall them leaving early for a west coast game though.

The track record of west coast teams traveling east and playing at 1pm is not in their favor.

Interesting because I thought Vegas was only two hours behind, whereas West Virginia is several decades behind....

Vegas is on pacific time all year round.  Phoenix is on Pacific time in the summer and Mountain time in the winter.

Who is with JA on the sidelines to keep his head in check? To talk him down or talk him up?

It's obvious to everyone that Josh has free reign to do what he pleases with apparently no restrictions.

Crazy high-risk throws and disregard for his body. McD does not seem to talk with him during the game.

I say bring someone in that states by his side and keeps his head in check.

Fitz would be a perfect candidate!

Actually, on one such Allen run you could see McDermott pointing to his head and mouthing "use your head".

Josh just ignores what the coaches tell him.

I believe this is the way Josh will be throughout the remainder of his career.

  10. I believe all the homers on this board are in for a rude awakening.

The Jets will be sky high and will shut down our offense and exploit our new middle linebacker with the ground game and throwing into his coverage area.

I hope I am wrong, but I fear that the Bills weaknesses will be exposed.

Let's hope I am full of crap!

Suck it up, Buttercup.   As a long time Bills fan, I survived the Bills struggling to win 2 games all season long.  I survived 0-for-the-1970s.  I survived HCs who were so incompetent that the players mutinied (Hank Bullough) and HCs whose aim was not to lose by too much (Dick Jauron).   I survived a #1 overall pick who refused to play for the Bills (Tom Cousineau).   I survived watching players the Bills developed into stars leave for other teams over and over and over again.  I survived a football organization that that put profits over winning for a decade.

I'll worry about the wheels falling off the Bills' juggernaut when I actually see the wheels coming falling off.

I am right there with you.

    My fandom began in 1963.

"I just think that our team is weaker than last year." - You may want to compare the two rosters.

"With all the pundants saying the Bills window is closing," - You probably spend too much time listening to the wrong pundits.

I don't know how old you are, but for those over 50, this could be our greatest time to be a Bills fan. So enjoy every second because it may not be this good for quite a while.

I am well over 50 and have been a Bills fan since 1963. ( my first memory of watching the Bills with my family)

Like all of us, I want that Super Bowl win do much.  Since the "13 seconds"  debacle it seem like the Bills are moving further away from being a contender.
