I apologize in advance, I was hospitalized Tuesday and have had three surgeries to correct a blood clot and damage to tissue on my right leg. The doctor is going to let me get out of ICU sometime tomorrow, but I will just be moved to a regular floor,  I wont be at home where I watch 5-8 games a year or at the game venue where I watch the rest.

    Getting old sucks

    Hang in there.

This Bills win is officially dedicated to your successful recovery.

My Thurman jersey is retired on game days due to Super Bowl losses and many important games the Bills lost, due to me wearing that jersey.  I’m sorry Bills Mafia

You are awesome 34! I will buy another 34 jersey.

That old jersey had some bad ju ju on gamedays.

Thats my long winded answer- Don’t temp fate, pick another jersey.  Rasul-Oliver-Bernard-Taron -etc- there are so many great Bills jerseys to choose from

    Good advise.

Ravens hate to lose. They even win preseason games

I concur. This is going to be a tough game. Dolphins are good, sorta healthy, well coached.

Also, Tua realizes this could be his last chance to convince his management that he is worth a 9 figure extension.

He is going to be on top if his game.

Bills make Mafia sweat most every game.  Miami  wants to beat Buffalo so bad.  And to win the AFC East.  They will pull out every trick to win.  It will be a tough game.
    But Buffalo will win IMO.

We win sludgy, must win, games.  We play down to our weaker opponents, but go toe to toe, throwing haymakers, against the toughest opponents.

We are in win mode.  I want the Bills to bring the physicality big time this game. Beat the snot out of Miami!

Ravens Patrick Queen said basically Miami quit fighting in second half.  The Bills are bringing hell!

    THE BILLS RUN THE EAST!

    GO BILLS!

Man, I hope you are right.

Sunday night can not get here quick enough.

Mcdaniel is good at disguising the few concepts tua likes behind a ton of different formations/presnap motion.  They haven’t been fooling the better defenses in the league though…I think he’s a high floor low-ish ceiling kind of coach where he’s going to continue to beat up on bad teams and never pull off the winning streak against good teams needed to do anything in the playoffs

It looks like the Dolphins will have more starters back the we had hoped for earlier in the week.

We are going to get their very best effort.

I think many posters herw are underestimating how difficult this game will be.

I for one believe this game will be difficult for the Bills to win if we don't bring our "A" game.

The way we gave played recently, can anyone say with confidence that the Bills will play their best on Sunday night?

    I am officially worried.

Mike McDaniel will test the Bills run defense early with Achane and their RBs. Specifically the outside runs. I will almost guarantee the Dolphins will target Dodson side the majority of the game. DBs will need to tackle well this game

I have been reading all the posts I can find on this game both here and on finheaven.  As the week progresses, I am getting less confident.

The Dolphins will go into this game with great resolve.   This feels like the Chargers game.  The Chargers looked like there was no way they could compete with us and we played to their level.

If we do that with this game, we will be looking at the end of our season Sunday night.

I hope the players and staff have learned from past mistakes and come into this game with the same determination that the Dolphins are sure to bring.

With all the injuries the Dolphins have, a Bills loss needs to be an automatic firing for McDermott.

    There it is!

Another reason for the lynch mob to want McDermott fired.

Finding a quality coach is not a given by any means.

After every loss and even on a five game winning streak you guys are singing the same old tired song.

Go to the Dolphins fan forum.  They have a few posters with the same mentality.  They want to fire their coach that got them 11 wins even with all of their injuries.

    Peace out!

This is really not setting up well for the good guys.  Zero confidence in getting help from Baltimore or Tennessee and not encouraged by the way we’ve played the last two games.  Hoping the offense can flip an invisible switch and turn things around because Miami will score on us.  Prolly gonna need at least 30-35 pts

Historically, in the Allen era, the Bills tend to rise to the occasion vs quality teams and play down to the level of weaker teams.

The fact that we are winning ugly games is still a good sign.

For any person checking this board and wondering why we are so hungry for injury updates on Hill, Waddle, Mostert and Achae, why we might almost seem bloodthirsty...

    Dolphins Rushing Leaders

    1) Mostert - 1012 yards

    2) Achae - 744 yard

    ...

    3) Jeff Wilson Jr. - 143 yards

    Dolphins Receiving Leaders

    1) Tyreek Hill - 1717 yards

    2) Jaylen Waddle - 1014 yards

    ...

    3) Durham Smythe - 336 yards

    The drop off is astounding

    Thank you.

    This post is helpful.

    Nice to see.

But as thrilled as I am, there is a pretty sizable veteran core that is aging out that is either dead cap or very hard to replace.

Hyde's contract is up, and I legitmately think he might hang up his cleats. He's had neck injuries two years in a row, and just turned 33. And yet, no matter what, we are paying for him on void years. Poyer is a touch younger and we have him another year, but his play has trailed off this year. It pains me seeing them at this point, because I remember how they were new arrivals to set the tone at the start of McDermott's tenure and by all accounts have been model teammates.

Von Miller might bounce back, but with his personal business his contract is looking like an albatross at the moment.

Diggs is 30. Maybe he has a Larry Fitzgerald like career, but not a ton of guys hit another gear at that point...and a lot start to regress. He's on the books at least until 2025.

Tre White might have just had a career ending injury, and is a possible cut candidate.

I'm not saying this to be a Debbie Downer. The team has a lot to look forward to. But there is going to be some painful transition coming up.

Let's worry about Sunday before you write the demise of this team for being too old.

Beane is always thinking several years down the road.

    Have faith.

    Go Bills!

That is great news! We need Floyd's pass rush.

What is up with Floyd.  Is this a veteran's day off or is he dealing with an injury?

It is amazing.  Dolphins have 18 players listed on their injury report.  The Bils have five.

I hope we can take advantage.

Von is on Vet rest (insert joke here)

    Josh was full with finger/shoulder

    Hyde limited with Neck

    Damar limited with shoulder

What is up with Floyd.  Is this a veteran's day off or is he dealing with an injury?

In 2018, we drafted Josh Allen. He was a project QB, with a lot of potential, but also a lot of work. We were told that we would see little to no Josh that season, because he would be riding the bench and learning his first year.

I still don't understand, five years later, why Peterman was the guy he was to learn behind. Let's even forget the now legendary 5 INT game. Let's give the benefit of the doubt that Peterman truly did majorly improve to be relatively serviceable, he was still just barely a rookie himself with almost no playing time.

Why was McDermott and/or Beane so adamant about this kid? Wouldn't the best bet have been to get a Fitzpatrick-esque guy. An experienced veteran, who might not light up the leauge, but would win some games for you, and most importantly play an important mentor role in Josh's development. Seems to have worked for Tua.

Because instead, Peterman sucked, as we all thought, and Josh got thrown to the wolves his rookie year. Obviously it worked out, but it very well may not have.

    Why this thread?

Give it a rest.  That was 6 years ago.

How about that game against the Steelers, who were resting their starters? The Bills had to win to make the playoffs. They lost. Forgot what year that was. A long time ago. It'd be like the Steelers losing to the Ravens Saturday.

According to Dolphin fans on Finheaven, McDaniel abandons the run game late in the first half even when it is working.

    Thoughts?

If the Bills follow the montra "you have to earn your playing time" than a huge, resounding NO!

    11 hours ago, BuffaloBillyG said:

I do not think he should. Others are playing better.

I do not think he will be. I think we've seen him in a Bills uniform for the final time this year. And perhaps ever.

Too expensive to cut.  Von will be back in 2024 season.

Hopefully he will find his mojo again.

Other than using a first on Diggs, the highest pick that Beane has turned in a card at WR was fourth round. It’s comical how much they seemed to neglect getting Allen top WR talent.

The Bills invested a #1 pick on Diggs.

  15. I have been perusing the dolphins fan forum, finheaven.

Some of them are crapping their pants over facing the Bills.

Others have seen the Bills performance the last two weeks and think they will be too tough for us at their home.

They even have a group of panicking reactionaries that wants McDaniel and staff fired.  Maybe it's the McD abbreviation that drives people mad??

Anyway.  Check out their forum.  It is fun to see our fan bases are very similar in their frustrations.

We can't lose this game to the Dolphins.

Josh Allen at home in the regular season after Nov is gross.  A couple anomalies, but the guy is not a good cold weather QB.  I took out the game in 2019 vs Jets when he was pulled, but he averages 55% with 2 TD and 1 INT.  He is always wildly inaccurate when the weather gets cold.

Your point is well taken, but Josh's best statistical games listed here are against the Dolphins.

Also, the Bills won most of these games

Short of a Superbowl, I think they need a change. There's something wrong with the way this team conducts itself. They are flat and unprepared and seem to have volatile emotional swings throughout the season and within individual games. I mean, that happens, but it's too much. The lack of consistency is their biggest problem.

Look around the league.  You are describeing 30 of the 32 teams in the NFL.  Injuries take their toll and it takes a few games to adjust.   A fact you seem to ignore.

He’d probably be walking pretty strangely with a broken collarbone…obviously it doesn’t affect your legs moving though 😂. But I’d expect him to be holding his arm or noticeably favoring one shoulder

I broke my collar bone playing football.  I played one more play before I took myself out.   Yiu do tend to hang the arm on the injured side.
