Not to turn this into a PPP thread, but Hochul's opponent Lee Zelden is Pro-Trump. There are bigger fish to fry than our stadium deal. But he is from Long Island. He may cancel it to please his local supporters.

But the bottom line is, most of the state may go Lee Zelden's way, but New York City and the surrounding area (save for a couple of districts) will be overwhelmingly Hochul, which will carry the election in her favor.

    Thank you for that explanation.

Not living in Buffalo, is this something that has come up? It would be shocking to hear either side talking much about it right now.

I am from western NY,  but I live in Las Vegas and have been out of the area for many years.  That us why I posed this question.

It's more likely that a meteor will strike Hochul than she will lose the election.

I appreciate the input, but even NASA is preparing for a meteor strick.

My question is if she does lose the election could the stadium deal be in jeopardy

  3. Bad officiating is nothing new.

Before replays were allowed, missed calls were much more egregious.

At least some of the bad or missed called can be reviewed.

Questionable calls have always been a prat of all sprots and that will most likely continue for the foreseeable future.

Let's hope the bad calls go in our favor.

    Crush the F_ _ _ _-N Chiefs!!!!

Just heard this on Charlotte radio also.

There is NO WAY we can take on that contract. Does he agree to redo the contract??? Doubt it.

You put him in this O and we are unstoppable but I don’t see it happening and hope I’m wrong.

If Beane wants to make the deal he will find a way.

need Poyer and Edmunds, that's what I'll be watching for

And Knox.  I hope that is why they were held out of this game.  If we get those three back we should beat KC.  Also  KC will be on a short week.

As noted somewhere else, there is literally one QB2, and that person plays for the 9ers as their first.  This teams lives and dies with JA17, and I can't think of another team who has the benefit of would-be-awesome QB2.  I can't even include NE, because the Lions are pretty much hapless.

How about Dallas?  They have a decent qb2 in Cooper Kupp.

    Truth.

It always seems to come down to KC - we have to take that win and flip the script to start forcing these guys to play in our back yard.

We end up in Arrowhead far too often of late :)

That amazes me.  We should be playing KC in OP this week.

I am a weather nerd. I like how all the “I am too cool to worry about the weather” cool kids poo poo the weather!

We have seen over the last few years now several games decided directly because of the weather.

It definitely matters, especially since we are such a pass happy team with very little ability to run the ball. According to at least one article I read, the presence of even light rain decreases passing production by 12%.

There is no question that it is going to rain during most, if not, the entire game tomorrow. What that means is that we need some good ball security, and we will need to be able to actually run the ball. I am hoping we will see more Jet sweep action and wide zones with Cook. We aren’t going to be able to batter it up the gut against these very good DT’s of the Ravens.

We need more Singletary and much, much less of Moss.

Hey… i wish to know what would be your thoughts in case tomorrow we will lose again.

I know i would be really sad being 2-2 with to losses in a row, but playing in Baltimore with all the injuries we have and with Lamar playing so good, it’s something very possible.

That wouldn’t change my opinion about how strong we are as a team and that when all healthy again we could win every single game till the end of the season, but i know i would be down till Tuesday or Wednesday waiting for the next one vs the Steeler.

    What about you ?

ps. one aspect that could be very important is if we could run better… gaining from 100 to 150 yards on the ground could increase our chance of 15/20%

Going into the season, sports writers said that if we were 3-4 after the first 7 games we would be in good shape to win 12 games.  We are still in very good shape even with a loss on Sunday.

But we are going to win on Sunday.

Is Christian Benford better than Wallace?

I know it’s early I’m re-watching Monday nights game and I got a Telya I’m really impressed with Christian Benford he looked really good out there and made some key tackles on the Titans running back

He also didn’t get beat in coverage much

Is he already better than Levi Wallace was

Yes.  I was never a Wallace fan.  He had a few good games but he was always picked apart way to often by average qbs.

Before you immediately jump to answer "NO", realize that this question does not mean that you don't like winning.

I enjoy the Bills recent success and I root for a championship trophy. I have a man crush on Josh Allen that my colleagues find odd. That being said, part of me misses the drama of Flutie v Johnson, Bledsoe v Losman, the Fitzpatrick upward trajectory followed by the downward trajectory, top 10 pick draft talk, checking the playoff tiebreakers to find a 1 in 1,000 chance of making the tournament, etc. I wonder if the large swings in outcomes of the past created a dopamine response in my brain.

Does anyone else feel this way? Or perhaps I am in a party of one?

    What????

    Not at all.

    What????

I am not worried about Elam. However, I think teams choosing 1st round DB's expect them to start and play well pretty much by mid-season. QB's get drafted way higher than they should due to the importance and need of that position, so they are allowed more time to develop.

You are most certainly entitled to your opinion.

  12. 1 minute ago, Gene1973 said:

If it takes a first round DB 2-3 years to play well, that is a problem...

No, it is reality.  Look at Josh his first year.

Not all players make that adjustment that quickly.

Why are you worrying about Elam?  The Bills just dismantled the reigning super bowl champions while playing a less than perfect game.

    Enjoy the moment.

  13. 1 hour ago, Einstein said:

With how good Benford looks, and with Elam’s contributions coming partially on special teams tonight, it leads the mind to wonder what other 1st round pick we could have acquired rather than a DB that is a depth player in a backfield that is missing it’s starter.

Not concerned at all.  What is it with everyone expecting instant success for every rookie we draft?

It can take two to three years fir a player to handle the conversion to tgr NFL.

    Patience my boy.  Patience.

I'm confident.  Just *really* hoping McD and Dorsey have the stones to cut Allen loose.  He scourged the Pats in the Wild Card game, and once we were down late enough against KC they stopped playing conservative against the Chiefs and Allen shredded them as well, from that point on.  If they don't play conservative on offense, I think the Bills put up a ton of points, and I don't think the Rams, even as good as they are, can keep up.

Biggest question for me is our D.  The pass rush has been good at putting pressure on the QB, but have not been quick enough getting there when needed (ref: KC game last year).  We need to get good pressure tonight or we could be in trouble defensively.  This is where we see what Von Miller's got, and how much he helps not only by being him, but in what he's taught our other pass rushers.

But yeah, just remembering Allen's performance in the playoffs, I'm confident.

Good points, but keep in mind those "slow" d-linemen are no longer in a Bills uniform (Hughes and Addison)

  15. I have no idea what to expect.  The Bills on paper are a better team than the 2021 version.

The Bills o-line should be much improved with the addition of Aaron Kromer and an upgrade in personnel.

The biggest question on offense is Ken Dorsey.  Though I have confidence in Dorsey, he is untested as a play caller and offensive coordinator.

We also have a new running back that could provide another dangerous threat catching passes out of the backfield.

On defense we have two untested rookies that should both see significant playing time at a cornerback.

The Rams have lost Von Miller and one of their key offensive linemen.  However, I am sure the Rams are pissed off about being underdogs coming off a super bowl win and being at home.

This game is very difficult to predict.

    I am hopeful.

Kickoff is 6 hours and 10 minutes of this writing.

    GO BILLS!

…and a built-in replacement if he fails in Joe Brady

Exactly.  My hope is Dorsey leaves for a head coaching job in a few years due to his tremendous success and Brady is ready to take his place.

Beane really seems to cover all the bases.  He sets up successors in house for most staff positions.

We are so fortunate to have Beane.
