  1. Sorry man the same two backup QB love posters push me over the edge every time I add something about drafting a QB. I added the QB thing because it is the biggest knock I have with Whaley. Once again sorry everyone please return to UP topic.

push you over the edge? apparently you either ignored the rules here or just don't care. READ THEM.

crusading is not accepted here. period!

  2. You may not like him and he really ticks me off with this QB purgatory but they can't fire a GM and expect a new GM to want to keep this new staff that was hired by the last GM unless your planing on hiring a GM that will be a yes man to a rookie HC. In my opinion the best thing the Pegs can do is keep Whaley and McD together and if these two seasons fail fire them both and find a very good GM to build this team. In my opinion the biggest problem with Whaley is he drafts who the HCs want more then what this team really needs. Whaley called out the purgatory but yet avoids addressing it because his head coaches keep wanting to use these lower talent QBs expecting to win with them just to fail with them. Head coaches don't want to wait for a QB and this is why the Bills can't get better and can't find a franchise worthy QB it's because they just keep waiting for a mircle and miracles don't happen so playoffs will also be something that never happens. Until this team has a urgency to draft a franchise worthy QB this team will continue to always be searching for one and I see zero chance Whaley and McD to last using Tyrod. In my opinion the first thing a new GM will do when they clean house in 2019 will be draft a QB early.

Build around a franchise worthy QB not another teams backup QB. Tyrod is not good enough and when McD finds that out it will be too late to keep his job.

the crusading continues...same **** posted, over and over.

McD is not going to lose his job, he'll be here for a good 3-5 years...IMO

  3.

But is it unprecedented, Mr. C?

By the way, how does it leave the Bills in a bad position? The draft will be over, they've got time to hire a new GM and scouts, and further roster moves aside from UDFA signings are minimal.

I may be able to name them all as well. I used to look forward to coming home and catching an episode after school.

    have you used Al yet?

  4.

I didn't say it was "normal," Chachi -- I said it makes some sense to me that they would wait until after the draft, and I found some support for that premise. You used the word "unprecedented," which is just silly because I'm sure there have been GMs let go after the draft and before training camp.

you could respond to him without the not so funny mocking of his username?

I know, all in fun right...

  5. this is really a thread? i just picture the op sitting on a coach, staring off into space, and suddenly a simple thought pops into his head. he then runs to the internet to let all bills fans know what he's thinking, no matter how useless it is.

well, he is a 420 bud man, so there's that...smoker.gif

  6. If it goes completely the opposite I will celebrate like a madman! When I finally calm down enough to check TSW I will admit to being wrong as I've done innumerable times before. :)

I just look for that ray of sunshine through the dark clouds, no right or wrong. just willing to allow some to time pass before bringing out the pitchforks and torches.

lets hope we all will be celebrating, even those who have been highly adamant in their negative views.

  7. Can you explain how, just 3 months into his tenure, McDermott is set up to fail?

all I've been seeing from the few negative posters who proclaim failure, especially the failure of a HC that hasn't even coached one game yet.

but hey, they have a right to mire in their negativity, it doesn't mean what they post, happens. I just wonder if it goes completely the opposite of their views, if they will use the useless "I'll have a serving of crow please"?

they label posters so it's only fair the label them "the doom and gloom club".

  8. I agree with this 100%.

This team is in big big trouble if a first time HC is also playing the part of a first time GM. We thought Donablow was bad this could end up the biggest sporting fail ever.

If this is true I will loose a ton of respect for Pegs, GM runs the team not a HC especially a first time HC.

Is this Chan all over again. Pig headed about a backup QB. SMH

I want a QB drafted early to push Tyrod out of here sooner then later, if McD is another Chan low talent QB pusher he is already on his last leg with me and I haven't even seen one season. I have anger issues at Whaley about QB but if McD is taking over at GM for this draft to push the build around Tyrod its going to be a very long 2 seasons for him. The excitement I had for him is going down hill fast.

what a bogus post. another doom and gloom predictor. typical given the source.

  9. I don't think we have to go away from anything. It's clear that for now our running game is head and shoulders more productive than our passing game. The goal should be to get more production out of the passing game and for that the QB needs to be significantly better.

hopefully he does improve, I think he will now going in to his 3rd year starting. Dennison and McD must of thought they had something to work with and although some don't like the stop gap QB, he will mentor to the young prospect they pick this year or next?

or, he could decline? unpredictable really.

  10.

All I said was McDermott needs to do better than .500 to remain the coach. Do you think the standard should be lower than Rex? If so, why?

    rex- year one 8-8

    year two 7-9

I absolutely feel McD will fare better than the loser that was rex ryan. I think they'll win 10 games and I care nothing about the schedule. I have always lived by the any given sunday philosophy but see I'm not with the negativity. it was a major mistake hiring rex and now McD and company will come in and clean up the mess. with or without drafting a QB this year. I'm not against drafting one but I would not base that on his success or failure either. they have a QB that they the professionals must feel they can move forward with while one, whether this year or next, is being groomed?

I'd be willing to bet my bottom dollar that McD will most certainly have better success than ryan, no doubt. but hey, I see that ray of sunshine through those black clouds hovering over your head so that alone gives me something to look forward to.

  11. ....easy Big Dawg....getting all worked up over a non sequitur......the clown ain't worth cardio troubles..............

not worked up but the cat can't get off the same Schtick, over and over, same ****, nothing but crying about drafting a QB and claiming the HC will be fired. he can cry until his hearts content after the season, if warranted, why all the crying before it even starts?

The Ignore List is your friend. I can attest, it works great.

I hear ya man. problem is, when you're offline you can see said posters post so it really doesn't work. now if there was some way to completely eliminated said posts, I'd be all in on that. I get everyone is entitled to their opinion but once, twice, even three times one could over look but when you're reading the same repetitious negative bull **** every day, there has to be a line drawn somewhere.

  12.

So he's better because he's a different guy. Got it.

no, he's worse, probably be fired mid season and they will finish 2-14.

that's why I'm not watching this season. I mean coaches being fired, losing games, why the !@#$ would you even watch?

I can post ridiculous bull **** just like you have so far this off season. but carry on with you're "firing the HC" bull ****!

  13.

If Sean McDermott doesn't get a QB this year I don't think it can happen at all next year. Bills likely to win 5-7 games this year. McDermott will be on the hot seat knowing Pegulas have cut last two hires after only 2 years. I think we will have to wait for a new GM and coach if it doesn't happen this draft.

no, don't see it that way at all. McD will not be on the hot seat. why would winning 5-7 games (not happening, more like 8-10) be worse than this year in draft position? they would be picking close to the same position and can always move up to get their prospect if they wanted to?

no, you're just blowing this smoke because you want them to pick the kid from texas tech and if they don't, McD will be fired...in your mind

pegula had nothing to do with marrone, he quit, he wasn't cut. pegula did the right thing in firing the ryan boys. McD isn't going anywhere, for at least 3 years, maybe more?

see how I did that, if you didn't know better you would think I was posting fact, not opinion...

*edit: I see you're using a sabres coach as an example of what he would do in football operations. poor example by the way.
