  1. Also remember, this forecast was Vegas oriented.

Bookies make a line that tries to get equal numbers of people betting each side. Bookies then make money on the transaction cost.

In different words: Vegas odds are what the bookies think the betting pool will think. In the end, Vegas odds are usually close to the truth, but sometimes they can be skewed by popular and unpopular teams.

I hope I made sense there.

Shady at 100% would still have a tough go against this D.

We need TT to ball out and sling it. Complete 3rd downs and keep the chains moving. Take chances deep! Jax DBs are very aggressive and hot headed. Go long and draw some PI's. Get in FG range, play field position. Force Bortles to beat you.

Yes.. as OP suggests, we need the career game from TT.

But bbt81 ... you point out hot headed DB's, then propose to counter them with a hot headed passing plan. Sun Tzu would not approve. Nor Russ Brandon lol lol

I think that this is important thing to add here. Draft Trade Value Chart

    Yep. Important.

I translated to the first round to chart data so people can observe the slope of the curve, decay of value, as the picks progress.

    5a1859b400e86_chart(1).thumb.png.bf710fb0d14b520a03fc5e6e09591fb6.png

Chart tells that "there are first round picks and then there are real first round picks." The chart also lends semi-credence to those who complain that the Bills can't even lose the right way, always ending up 8-8 with a pick in the teens. I say semi-credence, because I believe tanking introduces a locker room culture cancer worse than the benefit (think of a hockey team we know).

Anyway, I'm opposed to the Bills trade-packaging any first rounders to move up. It's nothing but car salesman's screw job. If they can't get a good QB with the picks they hold, then they should go free agent and pay the big money---use their first rounders for positions of need, which there are many.

If the Bills trade away picks and end up with the next Ryan Lief, they loose the fan base.

  4. Attack Pegs?

Were it not for Pegs, major league sports would be absent from WNY.

You'd be arguing over the starting QB for UB.

Were it not for Pegs, downtown would have zero value and suck money out of our pockets (property values be a many tentacled beast)

You'd be arguing who pays demolition costs for blighted blocks of canalside.

How about: attack Overdorf who gave overpaid contracts like candy on Halloween.

Sure Dareus is good; but he wasn't worth the "contract that ate the Bills" hence he was cut

How about blaming Whaley, Rex Ryan and brother... they sacrificed the Bills future hard and reckless, drove the Bills like a cheap rental car.

Thrills now, maintenance for the next sucker.

Blame Pegs if you want. But it's not like cheap Ralph. Blame Pegs and you'll be lonely crying those tears.

  5. If Beane's the magnificent bastard, wouldn't that make him Erwin Rommel?

Patton read Rommel's book, and exclaimed after a victory in the desert to the effect "I read your book, you magnificent bastard" ..to Rommel.

So Rommel is the Mag Bastard, Beane is GEN Patton. Yes?

In any event, an awesome trade. Hadn't seen anything like it since the 3-way trade which brought Cornelius Bennett to Bflo.

  6. Hes not my favorite but hes a good option. Id rather pay sammy but at least we aggressively addressed the hole.

    So it ends up being:

    Sammy, cardale and a 3

For Benjamin, Gaines and a 2

I think the add ons make up for the drop from Sammy to KB

Sammy is a diva who aspired to the NY-DC-LA-DALLAS markets. There is no amount of money that would have kept him in Bflo. I'm glad we got something for someone we were going to lose anyway.
