Cut over one drop? I'd kick the tires. LOL

The priority is winning. Or better said, trying to win. Or said yet another way, not deliberately tanking.
So win ugly. You have to try and win each and every game. Not trying to win allows a cancer to spread in the locker room---not very McDermott-ish.
Allen will develop while the team tries to win.

Mentor, mentor, mentor, blah, blah, blah.
You sign a QB to play, or backup-play. Not to be a mentor.
If mentoring happens, it's icing on the cake.

Dibellas all the way.
Someone told me that the sandwiches in Wegmans were actually DiBella's.
A plausible theory when you compare their rolls.

For someone flying in (my assumption), you can't beat:
Charlie the Butcher
Intersection of Wehrle Drive and Cayuga Road
It's about a five minute drive from the car rental return.

7-9
But what I didn't expect, and it really bothers me: losing by shutouts and massive blowouts. I expected better than that.

So-called "jazz hands", she said, encouraged an "environment of respect".
Yeah, right. Jazz hands just makes you look ridiculous.

Buffalo's population was bigger back in the day.
There's just not enough discretionary income in the region to support another major league team.

No excuse for passing on Mahomes.
Fire the Assistant Equipment Manager.
--- !@#$ing Hindsight Rangers irritate the **** out of me --- thank God they don't run the team.

This is not a "right situation" it is a very wrong situation to throw a rookie potential franchise QB into.
With the Green Bay debacle in the rear view mirror, I'm bumping this negative thread to the top.
In regard to OP: it's fine to play Allen. This is a free year for him to develop without the pressure of having to win.
OTH, stashing Allen on the bench for a year is more risky then starting him now. Stash him for a year will be putting him on a pedestal** and make his 2019 debut even more pressure packed and unforgiving.
** don't put things on a pedestal: "you put your ____ on a pedestal"

1. No one is going to be a trade partner for McCoy (contract and injury are deal breakers)
2. He's battling a chest injury--they have slow/painful recovery times: he's not fully recovered, IMO he shouldn't have played.
3. You don't unload a player unless you have eyes on someone you want on the 53. I doubt the Bills covet any player that a trade could bring. I doubt there's gold to promote from the practice squad.

Hope you're right about KB. A breakout day could salvage his sinking reputation.

Interesting reading the posts of celebrity encounters.
I have a hard time reading faces and placing them as famous people. Add a helmet to their head, and my facial recognition declines even further. All these posters saying they met so-and-so, I'm jealous of their celebrity recognition ability.
I was in BUF airport the Sunday of a home game. These three very large older dudes with Bills colors come through. People are doing selfies and mugging with them. I had know idea who they were. #$%^&%
I'm not totally disabled. I once met Rick Jeaneret by recognizing his voice.

Robb Riddick
My memory: 3rd and Short, Robb Riddick always made the play.
He could leap a pile at the goal line like it was nothing..

I foresee a future high level of parity between all the AFCE (yes, even the Brady/Belichik-less New England will be in the mix).
There won't be a team X or Y who will be the Bills nemesis year in and year out---like NE is now, and Miami was in the 70's.
There will be no romantic old style rivalries in the age of parity where "it's hard to win in the NFL."

The TSW spin has been how well the Bills played, and that is somewhat correct.
But this article reminded just how poorly MN played. Green Bay is going to be a different story. They won't "look like college boys who forgot the final was today."
MN is a Win, I'll take it in any form.

These things are a suck-up contest for web views.
Redskins, Cowboys, Patriots, et al: get reality+5 bonus positions because they are large market teams. Must get their fan clicks.
The Buffalo's and Cleveland's of the league get shuffled to the bottom more than justified...because there are fewer web readers to offend.

Allen was 12th in the NFL in getting the ball out at 2.92 seconds.
That had a lot to do with the "improvement" at least in pass protection.
I didn't know that was an actively tracked statistic.
I need to get out of the house more.

Christopher Moltisanti's envelop to Paulie Gualtieri won't be a little light this week. ...thanks to BuffaloRush.

...biggest win since September 1980 when the Bills broke a 10 year losing streak to the Miami Dolphins.
Fans stormed the field and tore down the goal posts. It was that kind of victory.
What I found Googling The day they got the Buffalo Bills goalposts

You complain that they didn't select Mahomes. Then you complain they selected "he isn't a sure thing" Allen.
Mahomes wasn't a sure thing either. You can't have your argument both ways.

Is rookie QB development a proven shortfall of the Bills? If so, a surprise to me.
If QB coach Cullen is not doing the job, hire a new QB coach. This 3rd party mentoring is a joke.
Aside: Thank God, no one on my quick scan of the thread suggested Jim Kelly.
