  1. One of my dogs is seriously sick. It's a new experience for me as I have gotten bullet proof dogs my whole life. This is big bucks, I won't go into the total.

I feel like all I'm paying for is a 24 hour IV. I told the vet one night only. If they can't get her comfortable by tomorrow I may have them put her down.

One, I have little confidence in the vet, they really don't know what is going on--their words. Two, she is in pain. Three, I can't afford the Cleveland Clinic approach to pet health care.

She's only 4 years old. I feel tremendous guilt in maybe putting her down.

  2. I like New England Clam Chowder.

    My favorite soup joke:

Elaine: Yeah. I met this lawyer, we went out to dinner, I had the lobster bisque, we went back to my place, yada yada yada, I never heard from him again.

Jerry: But you yada yada'd over the best part.

Elaine: No, I mentioned the bisque.

  3. When I worked,  my employer vigorously monitored internet traffic. A posting here would certainly get you a stern phone call from the IT department.

The outbound firewall had a very extensive list of blocked addresses. I wouldn't be surprised if TBD was blocked. I know places such as ESPN were blocked.

Brandon Beane and the greatest "catfish" technique we will ever see.

I think some of what you said actually transpired.

But I seriously doubt Brandon was out to seriously toy with anybody. One GM trolling another would be anathema to that Gentlemen's Club known as NFL GMs. Brandon Beane seems to be onboard with the Gentlemen's Club--I doubt he wants the reputation of being a trickster.

Buffalo has enough problems attracting players---compounding that problem be being a shady dealer would not be a good business decision.

  5. Quote

Upon approval of a future contract with Manziel, the CFL issued a statement that said, “Mr. Manziel has been informed he must continue to meet a number of conditions in order to remain eligible. These conditions, while extensive and exacting, remain confidential.”

CFL is a mystery to me. It appears the CFL central office is part of all player contracts--very different from the NFL where players are contracted solely to teams.

If the "conditions" Manziel violated were related to mental health treatment--I hope he gets his act together. Going through life as untreated bipolar (my suspicion) only leads to living on the streets.
