  1. Even with his disaster of a performance last year, I still hold out hope for Reed to be a quality third reciever. If he works out of the slot with both of our other wideouts drawing lots of attention, he should get a lot of opportunities to catch balls and rack up some serious yards after catches.

  2. By no means a great or even very good kicker, this is the first kick the entire year under 40 yards that he has missed, and he is 14-17 for the season.

His percentage is great but what happens when we need a 48 yarder to win a game? I have very little faith in him when there is a combination of distance and pressure.

  3. I am astounded at some of these remarks. Provide for your family the best that you can and be there and love them. I wouldn't trade my health for providing my family millions of dollars. They are happy with not only what I provide them with but also my being a loving component of the family. My dying early or changing my health or personality to be a Pro athelete and bring in more money is (and I don't normally post like this) one of the stupidist ideas I have ever heard of. How about working harder and smarter at what you do now to supply your family with more income? Maybe some of these comments are meant to be sarcastic, but they sure strike a nerve with me.

  4. I'm ready to eat some crow. Following the Williams fiasco, Donahoe's arrogance and the 0 and 4 start, I wanted his head. Beating St. Louis and Seattle might not be true tests, but I am hoping I was totally wrong and that he might be a winner after all. I want to see how the rest of the year and 2005 turns out, but my opinion is shifting.

  5. I do not spend a lot of time following college football. I would appreciate the opinions of those who do as to what they saw from Losman. Did he really display a great arm and elusiveness ? Was playing for Tulane a real test? There continues to be such a cry for him to be the #1 qb due to his draft status, I just wondered what he really displayed as a college qb. I know the newspapers, etc had some opinions when he was drafted but I was wondering what some of the TBD posters have to say.

    Thanks for any opinions.

  6. Unless he can show me he can win a big game, he won't make that spot:

Top 5 (in no particular order):

    Elway

    Montana

    Farve

    Johnny U

    Bradshaw

    Honorable Mention:

    Kelly

    Young

    Namath

    Aikman

    Brady/Marino

So that's 10 people I have ahead of him as a QB. To be a QB you have to win big games and lead your team. Manning is not yet in any of these people's leagues in that regard.

If he can win a SB then he will get in the top 10, if he can win 2 then he will be in the top 5 for sure.

Tell me anyone of those 5 or 10 people you would put Manning above and tell me why.

Bart Starr should be on that list...

  7. I donno, the TD benefits are starting to pay off.  I really honestly believe he is an excellent GM

As a Bills fan, I certainly hope you are right! My major complaint with him has been what I perceived as a lack of action regarding the offensive line, but they are playing very well at this point.

  8. Are you catching the remarks esp from Aikman about them being stupid for pulling Henson?  fuggin stupid move.

Just like with harrington, is it Joey's fault they keep calling dink and dunk plays in Detroit?  McMahon(sp) did absolutely NO Better. Maybe Mooch needs to look at his playcalling before benching his 1st round pick QB.

Harrington does qb a dink n' dunk offense, but I have seen most of their games and has happy feet and a lack of courage. Alaska Darin pointed out some reasons for Harringtons demise earlier, but how can a qb be a leader when he appears to be afraid?

  9. Harrington was thrown to the wolves before he was ready and the Lions have yet to find an answer at RB to take pressure off him.  Couple that with an inexperienced receiver corps and you have an impending disaster.  That's the danger with rookie QBs.  The Lions shattered his confidence.

    Good point... thanks.
