  1. I thought he was overrated last year. Nice player, but really not "all that"...

though I admit my opinion may have been influenced  by the team's overall gutless performance.

This year's a different story, I think he's raised his game up several notches, and should make 1st-team All-Pro.

That comment really hit home. Other than the second New England game this year, I have not used the word gutless this year to describe the Bills. Last year, I did many times. I give a lot of credit to Mularkey for the attitude change.

  2. There were alot of Fat Sam jokes here when he was deciding who to play for.

Let's make no mistake, this guy kept his word on his performance on the field. His standoff against the coaching staff helped ignite the war path the Bills are on right now. The dominance of our defense starts right up front. Can't praise the front office enough for signing Sam Adams.

And give some credit to the present coaching staff for how they handled Big Sam's outburst earlier this year. Lord knows how Greggggggg would have handled it. Mularkey gave Sam more playing time in passing situations... basically said here you go, put your money where your mouth is... and Sam sure did. I really feel that another big improvement regarding MM over Williams is that he truly knows how to deal with adversity and players attitudes and emotions.

  3. That goes to show you that the leadership is gelling this team to play together.

Cincinnati will have there hands full. The bengals are not that good yet. Maybe in a couple more years. But, they are nothing to fear.

You are darn tootin'... We have veteran leadership that will step forward tomorrow. I expect huge games from Malloy, Vincent, Spikes, Moulds, etc.

That, combined with our young offensive stars should take care of business on Sunday!

  4. OK got good prospects for ya.

1)- Weak at TE this year, no Winslow type

2)- Erasmus James Wis, Justin Tuck ND, Marcus Spears LSU

3)- CJ Brooks Maryland. This is the guy I want! He is an absolute STUD and is underrated, could go in round 2

4)- CB- cant really think of one yet.

5)- Mike Nugent Ohio State, I would draft him in the third round if I were THIS team!

6)- Ahmad Brooks is a guy I like at OLB

7)- Maurice Clarett! TD is a guy who takes chances. Theguy can play and is not a head case in my mind. He just wanted to get into the draft. Currently in the third or later, he could be a steal! Noah Herron Northwestern, and Walter Reyes Syracuse are striking too. Herron is too slow for my blood but has got great moves.

I think Nugent might be worth a second rounder. He is awful good.

  5. If I still lived in Buffalo, I would probably have season tickets and would care a great deal. Living in Ohio and having two young children that take up a lot of my time... I could care less.

It's funny... when I was single and in my twenties, I watched every Hockey, Baseball and Basketball game I could see (or attend). Now in my forties (soon to be fifties)... I watch Pro football, maybe parts of the World Series and maybe parts of the NCAA tournament. That's it.

    Priorities change...

  6. In all seriousness, and with no intended sarcasim, that would be the perfect job for Wannedstedt.  I have felt for the last few years that Wannestedt seems like a good guy, in over his head in the pros.  He seems like he would be an excellent college coach, and what better place for him than his alma mater?  Clements needs to win a Super Bowl first!

I always thought Pete Carroll was a terrible NFL Head Coach, but college is sure the right fit for him. Might hold true for Wannedstedt, also...

  7. pass block! He is going to be a stud on picking up blitzers, etc. Best since Thurman. It looks like Bledsoe is totally comfortable with Willis helping pass block. Wasn't so with Henry...

And I love watching Lee Evans lower his head and take on a potential tackler. We have two absolutely complete players that will only improve.

  8. I just saw a blurb in SI rating the fastest NFL player. I don't know if it was fan, player or GM based. Randy Moss was considered the fastest, which surprised me.

There are a lot of stat experts that contribute here. Who are the fastest few NFL players, to your knowledge... and where does Lee Evans stand?

    Thanks

  9. I drive a 2003 Buick LeSabre....I am the envy of every 81 YO male in America

I'm right there with you, Taterhill. 2005 Buick LeSabre. It might be an old mans car (I guess I qualify now), but if you are looking for reliability and a nice ride... they are quality cars. Might be a bit pricy if economics are a concern.

  10. Dave Washington... Linebacker. Long time ago, may even have been at the Rockpile.

Two claims to fame; one picked up Mercury Morris and slammed him headfirst into the turf at home... the fans went beserk with joy!!! Two, due to injuries during a game, had to become our placekicker and made an extra point or two.

This is so long ago I could even be wrong with his first name, but I am pretty sure it was Dave.

  11. We had two awful ones too.  Terry Bledsoe (no realtion to Drew), and Stew Barber.  To us older Bills fans whose memories go back before the Super Bowl years, we would have killed for years the past few, back then.  Things have not always gone right during TD's reign, but at least it hasn't been for a lack of trying, or caring about anything but the bottom line....

    152553[/snapback]

And most of the youngsters won't remember this.. but Ralph was a real skinflint back then.

  12. I wouldn't be surprised to see Mularkey take over the duties of offensive coordinator. Head Coaches have taken over the duties before. I bet he would call a great game. Of course, the worry would be that his Head Coaching duties might suffer. I don't want Clements to leave, but just a thought in case he does.

  13. WTF are you talking about. TONS of Bills highlights during the game. At the bar we had every damn game on. The KO return, the Long TD to Evans and PW's int were all on.

Not only that CBS voted mcGees return something like their highlight of the day or some sh--?

Are these types of comments really necessary? You sound like a very unhappy individual who wants to do nothing but anger people and promote misery. There are a lot of healthy disagreements on this board... but unprovoked, angry comments are a waste of everyone's time.
