  1. I think the biggest difference is the modern day shenanigans is just dumber than the way the old-timers used to party. As the years go by things evolve and somehow the way college kids party now has transitioned into backyard wrestling(and it's not just Bills games, if you follow Barstool Sports they are constantly posting videos of the same kind of things that are happening at Bills games now happening at frat parties at colleges all over the United States). I don't know how or why this became a thing but I actually feel bad for the kids. If they think that is having fun, they should have been around to party 10-20 years ago

They used to allow beer kegs in the stadium so long as you bought the keg a seat. A guy shimmied his way out onto the guide wire that holds up the kicking net, on purpose. I think the old timers would be able to hold their own.

That said, that film wasn't as bad as it could have been but people should understand it will be used as Exhibit A as to why the stadium needs to go downtown and tailgating needs to be reigned in permanently. People are way too eager and proud to post their jackassery online.

  2. I get that. Popeye's after a Clemson football game. Yowza! My son had some bad sliders at Chili's once.....with a group of friends. Bad idea to have more food poisoned people than toilets in one location. VERY bad.

I have a long story about a fried clam sandwich in Boston 20 years ago. I think the clams were from closer to 30 years ago. I'll save you all the details.

Yeah, Wendy's is the only thing in my adult life to send me to the hospital. Good times.

  3. I can do the regular sandwich or nuggets a few times a year, but I prefer the Wendy's spicey chicken sandwich. That only happens when I'm driving long distance and fast food is the only sensible option, so that's only a few times a year too.

Wendy's tried to kill me once. I took the hint and haven't gone back.

  4. Sooooo, are you a tanker?

Serious question. Chin pointed out the many changes to this team. Others pointed out the change of the staff. I will point out the change in philosophy. All these and the Bills are about 60-70% a different team.

Better is better, different is different. Different does not necessarily equal better.

  5. That's solid work by the agent there and good on Bobby for agreeing to it. All players would be wise to seek out actual quality representation who looks out for their long term interests like that. Too many agents seek to maximize immediate cash payout because that's how THEY get paid and how THEY attract a bigger client base. Deals like this, while much less sexy, are incredibly good business.

  6.

 No, but it's brilliant! There ya go, eball!

Found it completely by accident one time. I was driving down McKinley on a Saturday before the game when I noticed that all the parking lots on that side of McKinley are connected together in some fashion all the way around to the lots on Milestrip. Don't you all go ruining it for me now. Save the Batcave for special occasions only. Of course you can also just go through the mall parking lot over to Milestrip and use the light there to get you out but it's still on the wrong side of the McKinley intersection.

When I flew to Buffalo last year for a game, Buffalo airport was by far the easiest to deal with out of the 3 airports I had to go through, it was quite nice, granted it was Monday, but TSA was great there

Yes, TSA in B-Lo has been good on Sunday nights as well. I think they staff it appropriately on home game Sundays realizing that there are more people coming through than on a typical Sunday night. If you have the TSA pre-check it's even better.

  7. ^^^^ Thats a decent walk from the stadium to back lot of ECC...and I would think a good bit of time is based where your seats are located.

But ECC lot is where we park when there is a pressing need to get out of the lot.

That's true, it's a good 10 minute walk. I always park on the far side of the campus as well. But as you said, those 10 minutes translate into getting straight out of the lot every time.

  8. Word from OTA's and minicamp is that Darby has seriously regressed and there are rumblings that Seymour could start opposite the rookie White. They will give him a shot in camp. He is a better fit for this defensive scheme. And Poyer is terrible. You are going to be wishing we had Aaron Williams back there. The defense will be slightly improved just because the line will do much better in a 4-3 but the defensive back situation is certainly not ideal.

IIRC in Darby's first pre-season he looked a hot mess then did a good job during the season. The transition to zone is going to be interesting though.

Put me down for 6 wins. I don't see a lot of improvement on the roster. Some churn, yes, just not much that's actually better. As for McDermott I witnessed his dumpster fire of a defense in Philadelphia so I'll take a wait and see approach. Maybe he learned something from that debacle.

  9.

I think that is a horrible route. Trust me mine is much quicker.

I'm sure there's more than one way to do it and everyone has their preferred parking lot to go to, etc. I generally prefer the ECC lot to the stadium lots because I've gotten stuck in stadium lots many times and I'm sure that's because I don't know the best places to park in each of those lots due to lack of experience. I'll wager that if we polled all of the major lots you'd be able to get a good way out and to the airport from each of them.

What I know for certain is there was nothing better than the spot I was able to use when I had my season's back in the early 90's. If you remember the old bus/limo lot that no longer exists there was a tiny bit of parking in there. Needed to show a pass to the Cop directing traffic at that pedestrian crossing. We were out of there before most people even got to their cars.

  10. unless you park well away from the stadium and walk there to be able to leave quicker.

This. I've made that flight several times. I parked out at the far lot of ECC and walked quickly after the game. Not running, just walking with a purpose. Unless the game goes to OT you'll be fine. Of course if it's a blow out you should just leave early to be safe.

In terms of route, I turned left out of ECC onto Southwestern, right onto Brompton, right onto McKinley, right into the first McKinley Mall entrance, cut through the parking lot up to the light, turn left and use the light to cross over McKinley into the other parking lot on the other side, turn right and cut through the parking lot all the way around to the Home Depot. Use the light at Home Depot to turn left onto Milestrip, right onto the Thruway and the hard work is finished. Get out in the left lane and put your foot down.

I'm not normally a guy who advocates cutting through parking lots but getting to the airport is a special circumstance.

  11. not saying it's the exact same situation because Orr's is congenital , but no one has signed Aaron Williams and his agent claims he's 100% healthy. If that's true then it has to be the fear of the neck situation - he's young and talented and wants to keep playing. He's had two visits, I think.

Or his price is too high, or he's not willing to agree to indemnity language. He's also a vested veteran who would have a fully guaranteed salary after week 1. Aaron drops his ask to vet minimum with no guaranteed money he'll have a job in week 2.

  12. Just saw this on NFLN:

2nd team All Pro LB Zach Orr retired from Ravens after last season because he was told he was born with a rare medical condition that could seriously impact his health if he kept playing (lead to paralysis if hit). Never filed retirement paperwork though and was set to become a RFA. Ravens never tendered him since he announced he was retiring. Since then he's received news from doctors that he is at no bigger risk than anyone else. Now he's a UFA and can sign anywhere. Just needs cleared by team doctor. He was live on Good Morning Football talking about it.

    https://amp.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000817698/article/zach-orr-considering-returning-to-nfl-after-new-health-prognosis?networkId=4595&site=.news&zone=story&zoneUrl=url%3dstory&zoneKeys=s1%3dstory&env=&pageKeyValues=team%3dbal%3bconf%3dafc%3bdvsn%3dacn&sr=amp

If you see enough doctors you will find one who says what you want to hear.

That said the NFL has absolutely no soul whatsoever. If the kid can play, wants to take the risk, and is willing to sign a contract the completely insulates the team, he'll find a job. When he gets hurt again the team will use whatever language they put into the contract to protect themselves and pay the kid as little as possible on his way out the door to a lifetime of health problems if not full on paralysis.

  13. After a 1 year deal for Maclin we gotta be getting low on cap space

A quick mess about on Spotrac got me to 10M of cap space just getting to the 53 man roster without cutting anyone important. If Maclin comes in a 4.5 there's still room and all the draft picks are already signed.

Not for nothing, the closer camp gets Barnidge's price goes down, not up. That said I have to believe Baltimore makes a stronger offer.

  14. Nope. I knew that was gonna be the first.

I was going to say: "Mr *****" just to throw you guys off, but that would have been mean, so I used the underscore key for last name.

HINT: On the right path, one of his endorsed products. ;-)

Which is kinda of a trivia challenge in itself. What products did O.J. endorse?

    We got:

    1. Hertz

    Schick

  15. I think Bruce Mathison played then, maybe Matt Kofler?

Ferguson, Kofler, Dufek, Ferragamo, Mathison, Reich. Those are the six.

    Sort of a trivia question.

    Nobody will get this one:

My mother in-law was a RN @ Mercy Hospital. O.J Simpson checked in under a pseudonym. Can anybody say/guess what that last name was?

HINT: Think of the the products O.J. pitched back in the day.

Maybe I am making it too easy. But just:

    "Mr. _______"

Will do. I am not sure what the first name of the pseudonym was anyway. :-)

    Hertz?

  16. guard

qb and receiver for the loggest td pass in Bills history? (apologies if this has already been asked, didn't look through 14 pages)

Ryan Fitzpatrick to Terrell Owens, 98 yards in Jacksonville.

Jim Kelly's longest TD pass and to which receiver?

    No Googly! lol

Andre Reed 83 yards. <edit> I'm wrong, I looked it up but won't spoil.

Without looking, name the 6 QBs who attempted a pass for the Bills during the illustrious 1984 and 1985 seasons.
