I don't know that it is. Like I said, Bosa, their best pass rusher didn't play today and I can't imagine the havoc that he would have caused with both him and Ingram playing. In two games Bills QBs have been sacked 11 times. In Peyton Manning's rookie season he survived because he was sacked only 22 times all season. And yes, a lot might have to do with how bad the Bills receiver corps currently is. Was Corey Coleman that bad that the team trades a draft pick for him, signs him for $$ when the team is strapped. Then cuts him while keeping Kerley...only to cut him too. Lots of mistakes with players and free agents this offseason.

Allen was sacked 5 times today and Bosa didn't play. Nobody on Buffalo's side could effectually block Ingram. Bills QB's were sacked 6 times against the Ravens. The Bills team rushed 22 times for 84 yards, a 3.8 YPA and the only reason that doesn't look so bad is because McCoy broke free for a 27 yard run...once! Yes, this FO chose the right QB and as the announcer stated he should have been selected #1 overall. It does nothing for the future should this rookie QB not survive this year behind one of the very worst Buffalo Bills offensive line I've ever witnessed. Another worry is how bad the defense currently is with a CB retiring in the middle of a game. Someone screwed up bigtime with that acquisition.

Bosa didn't play today. That said what happens to the process if the rookie QB doesn't survive the season because of the ineptitude of this GM/HC to build a decent O line to protect him? How do you start a rookie QB behind a line so bad that they don't even understand their blocking responsibilities. A few times today I watched the O linemen and TE, RB completely whiff on blocks. In one case the supposedly good LT chose to block the DT which left the edge rushing in Ingram come completely free, untouched. Meanwhile Ducasse was blocking air because his man was taken. The O line stinks, the O line coach stinks and oddly enough he is also the run game coordinator which also stinks. Yes, Allen showed flashes of being really good. Now Imagine him being able to sit and learn like he was supposed to do. BTW, where is the veteran QB on the roster to help these young QBs. Speaking of the roster why is Peterman still on it? Shades of Jeff Tuel.

I wouldn't mind hiring Jim... Jim Caldwell.

Now think about Peterman getting most of the first string reps in camp and getting all the first string reps for the Ravens game. Allen really hasn't played that much with the starting offense so his timing and getting to know what to expect from each receiver should get better as the season goes on. Now, If Daboll can get the run game working to help this rookie out he won't always be passing and be in third and longs. 13 touches is not enough for McCoy and 39 yards rushing didn't cut it either. Five sacks today and it could have been much worse If Bosa had played. So much is wrong with this offense right now and the least of the worry is the QB.

Now just think how this kid would have looked with quality offensive linemen who know how to block properly and know their responsibilities. It's hard enough to watch those O linemen whiff on blocks. It's quite another to see them block the wrong man so a defender comes free and untouched. McCoy getting tackled in the backfield as soon as he touches the ball at times. The Bills receiver corps is another sad story.

Good stuff in his first game. I had visions of it being much worse. If only the Bills defense showed up in the first half...

Believe it or not I think the offense played better than I thought they would. Again, just glad Bosa didn't play. It was the Bills defense that really let me down today. They did better in the second half but then the Chargers might have taken their foot off the pedal, still very disappointing.

As bad as the defense is and the offensive line at least it was fun to watch the game for awhile. Allen showing he wasn't ready...but still better then pickerman

It was not Allen's fault! Watch it again. The protection was okay and Dion Dawkins at LT was supposed to pick up the outside end rusher in Ingram and instead blocked the DT. So the edge rusher came free, untouched and Ducasse the LG had nobody to block because Dawkins took his man. O lines fault 100% the announcer is a joke

I never liked him as a QB and I like him less as an announcer. He really sucks and I dunno why he puts all the blame on a rookie QB when clearly others are at fault at times.
