I always thought this was one of the more remarkable stats in NFL lore. With the massive advancement in the passing game and more games being played, 62 years later, Mike Ditka STILL holds the record for TE receiving yards by a rookie at 1,076. Kyle Pitts would have broken the record if it wasn't for injury. Kyle Pitts was also one of the best TE prospects of all time. To think about how many elite TE's the league has seen the last 62 years. It really is remarkable that this record has held up. Do we think Kincaid has a chance?

I think it’s actually possible. I think he has 3 more games than Ditka did. Also, Kincaid has a winning combination of being a great receiver, the team not concerned about him being a good blocker and an excellent QB and passing offense.

Just finished watching tape of Williams.  This polarizing pick may very well turn out to be a good selection. At the least he'll be a better pass rusher/blitzer than Edmunds and his instincts do look better too.  The success of Dorian I think will depend on if Sean moves to a base 4-3.

Im starting to relax a bit too. I was upset at the pick because I watched him pre-draft and he just isn’t going to be a good starting LB right away. He just gets swallowed by blockers and so tries to go around them and misses his gaps at times.

However, he is a natural athlete with real speed and has nearly 34 inch arms. With those tools he can develop into a good player which is probably why initially they said he would be a backup. My biggest concern was not getting a player that could contribute early or backup a more important position (OT, DT, WR, etc) but looking at how the board fell, there were only a few players left that I thought could really help there. What we missed out on wasn’t that great. So this is a play for future upside coming out of a crappy draft. I think it still was not an optimal use of the pick, but I don’t think it is an abject disaster.

Ooooo nice  6’2 211  Boundary WR with good ball skill and YAC ability

Yea honestly like him more than Shorter. Hoping this is them getting in the mindset of adding all the old Colts receivers relatives with Marv Harrison Jr draft eligible next year

    Dawkins - McGovern - Morse - Torrence - Brown

    Quess    - Boettger    - Bates  - Edwards -  Doyle

That right side could be REAL NASTY if those dudes get their stuff together and develop.

Or does Bates or Edwards have a chance of starting over Torrence, and McGovern plays RG?

I think this is probably right. Hopefully we add another OT once it doesn’t affect the compensatory pick

Anyone have any idea what teams don’t like about Antonio Johnson and JL Skinner?

I think Wypler is still there because he is really only a C and most teams like multi-position OL.

    Surprised a bit about Skinner

Wypler is a Center who is small and has very short arms so teams are staying away, though he was a good player at Ohio State

He was a 5 star recruit at Penn State, stunk. Transferred to Florida. Not much better. Best case he's Marcus Easley. The Bills just drafted a gunner in the 5th Round.

It is not possible to more disappointed in this pick than I am.

This is right, he is a special teamer if he makes the team at all. Not a good WR. Disappointing. On to round 6.
