  1. I'm not saying anyone should be fired. I just have a question. Is there any other team in the NFL as hot/cold a the Bills? One week they look unbeatable, the next they look like they're competing for a top 5 draft pick. This inconsistency is frustrating.

Since my daughter was born, these games don't ruin my week the way they used to. But it's still annoying.

The problem with Jacksonville is they have Josh Allen too.

And when Josh Allen faces Josh Allen it creates a bubble in the very fabric of spacetime which confobulates the time continuum, resulting in scenarios where even Urban Meyer can beat us. in this dimension ducks might wear top hats, fish might serenade the moon with love songs, and Sean McDermott is a humble flea merchant.

    Trust me, i'm Einstein.

This is a well known postulate of the Time Cop Theorem.

All I know is McD called McDaniel’s scheme “revolutionary” in the presser today. He’s scheming all sorts of creative ways to get guys the ball, a lot of misdirection, sleight of hand, magical stuff. No one is calling the Bills offense revolutionary or innovative. I think they could be so much more and I’m not a Dorsey hater. BUT it is extremely tough finding that guy who is a schematic genius. Panthers thought Joe Brady was one, now he’s in Buffalo as a QB’s coach after his failure.

Agreed. Dorsey is fine. A competent coordinator; one whom no one will confuse for an innovative OC. But how many innovators are out there? Reid, McDaniel, Shanahan? The last 2 are stacked elite playmakers as chess pieces. Maybe add Siriani to this short list.

Point being, which creative offensive mind do we hypothetically turn to with Dorsey gone. Believe me, I'd love one. This isn't a post praising Dorsey.

Isn’t this why the team has a highly paid coaching staff? They better get to work and scheme up an offense that accounts for Brown’s shortcomings. And remember….No team has 22 Pro Bowlers on their starting roster.

I'd agree with this. We have a very highly regarded OL coach in Kromer. And Brown has absolutely elite size and athleticism. If his feet are slow, it's likely a mental issue rather than a physical one (thinking instead of playing).

Watching this game, you wonder why Sean allowed Frazier to run the defense for so long. He was so timid and passive. Sean brings pressure, is aggressive and has the personnel using their athleticism. The thought of Miller, Floyd and Rousseau pinning their ears back with the ferocious play of Oliver and the other tackles in the middle gives fans confidence that unless you’re coming with elite O-lines, we’re going to dominate like the last 2 weeks. Next week, against Miami, will be a good barometer of how good we are.

Yet we always heard people saying that Frazier was running the defense that McDermott wanted. It's early in the season, but so far it looks like Frazier and McDermott have different philosophies.

  6. I get it. The AFC is stacked. AFC East is probably the toughest division in the NFL right now. The Bills looked ineffectual in their last appearance. And the masses love hot takes. Just like it was popular for people to pick the Bills as the SuperBowl champs last off-season, it is now en vogue to mark the Bills down as missing the playoffs this year.

I won't let this bother me, and I believe the Bills will, again, be in the hunt in January. Based on nothing but my gut, I do have a feeling that the Bills start off this season at more of a jog, then start heating up in November for a great Sprint down the stretch.

    Go Bills!

What games are you watching? Before his injury he was basically a shutdown corner. You didn't hear his name as the ball wasn't headed his way which speaks volumes.

Agree. Pre-injury, Tre was probably a top 5 CB in the NFL. Likely the smartest in the league.
