  1. The Patriots have always had quite a bit of turnover. They're actually known for that.

Except the two positions that matter most. QB and Coach.

On top of it within those coaching reigns those coaches were firing OCs and DCs on a pretty consistent basis. The lack of continuity was/is ridiculous. Have the Bills O or D gotten to play in the same system for 3 or more years in the past 16 seasons? The only one I can think of is Gaily's offense.

Schwartz was great last year, but it would have been nice to have Pettine going on his third year commanding this D, either os DC or HC...

  2. Yeah, if we lose to NE*, split with the Jets, and lose to the healthy Cowboys that's still 10-6, which is what I expected pre-season. Somehow, knowing the Bills, we will drop another random game in there, but maybe we can pull out a surprise in NE* or vs DAL, or sweep the Jets.

I am on the exact same page as this. I am down on this team, dont get me wrong. They look undisciplines and the D is underperforming, no takeaways....

But I look at the schedule and see 1 loss to NE, who look unstoppable, and a L against a Romo QB Cowboy Team. I am hoping for a sweep against the Jets (but they look strong too) and a Loss against an NFC team, to make us 10-6. Most Likely though we split at best against the Jets. I think 11-5 is the absolute best this team does. 10-6 is more likely. If nothing changes, they are on par for 8-8 though, and only bc they will cost themselves games, not bc other teams beat them.

  3. Trying to see how the offsides in any way affected the outcome of the play, barring the penalty of course. Why call it?

Bc you cant have a play like that start the game. The refs wanted to let the bills know they got em by the balls. Right from the first whistle.

Its a point of emphasis this week.

  4. Whistle to whistle---good coaches preach that

The risk of not fair catching the ball on the 15 and the ball getting downed inside the 5 is greater than the risk of botching the catch. Its metrics my friend.

If you want to talk metrics, boil it down to the expected point value of each outcome, not just the probability of each outcome. If you show me that ill support it. Besides that, metrics are everywhere in support of certain play tactics that arent used, fourth a short yardage, 2pt conversions.

Saying its metrics is meaningless to me unless you show me some math. Until then, catch it and return it, or let it bounce.

  5. Bacari Rambo is talented, but he plays at every play at 100 miles an hour. Some plays call for 100mph, others call for a slower pace. He got stiff armed on the TD run because he couldn't slow himself down when he got to the ball. He needs to do a better job of controlling his body or he is going to get hurt doing something stupid. I also thought his quote last week about no changing anything made him seem like an uncoachable jerk.

Preston brown - Hes good, but hes an angry child out there. He has great talent, but his lack of composure is very evident. Other teams know it and he unless he makes a change teams will continue to talk at him and get him to commit personal fouls.

Darby is the best Dback we have. He is looking like a steal in the draft.

Urbik isnt great but idk who would fill his shoes.

    Incognito is a good anchor.

Clay woke up in the second half, but wtf was wrong with him in the 1st half. Could catch a thing.

In general on third down... TT needs to tell receivers who are running routes 3yrds or so that end up being short of the sticks... tell those guys to make sure to get past the 1st down mark. Sometimes routes get adjusted on the fly. Gaining 4 on 3rd and 5 is worthless. He hit clay twice running side to side 1 yrd short. Get past the 1st before you catch the ball!

Karlos is a better running back with Sammy and Lesean in the game.

Hogan... hes a solid #4 wr.

The team was sleep walking through the first half and the reason it looks so bad is because we have seen what this team looks like when they click on all cylinders.

I know the bye week is a few games away but I think Carpenter will benefit most from some time off. I dont think hes bad, i think hes a little dinged up. That missed fg though... it caused us to go for it on 4th from the 3 yrd line. Had we made the first fg, a second would have pulled us within 7.

    Thats all I got.
