  1. No one wants to admit it, but our defense was TRASH last year... sure we had some good games, but it was 99% due to coaching + game plan and the fact that our offense consistently put teams in a hole early forcing them to play into our scheme.. This team is going to be unstoppable next year with the new additions + Star coming back. So pumped. These teams will also be playing catchup.

Bucs and the Chiefs kill us on RB.

Edwards-helaire is better than anything we have. Fournette is better than anything we have, he can be a knucklehead but the Bucs keep him focused somehow.

We should probably be above the Browns/Packers/Cowboys but I agree with the Chiefs and Bucs ahead of us.

O-line run blocking is 90% of your argument, which has minimal to do with rb talent.

I mean even if you don't trade away those 1st round picks taking a top 10 pick QB and missing on the pick will set you back 3-4 years, unless you don't really give them to me to develop.

What I love about the NFL is there's no shortcut to being a super bowl contending team. (Maybe Brady is the only exception) But you have to win in the draft, free agency, player development, coaching, and scheme.. Sure you can hit on a few of these and make some noise in the playoffs, but the super bowl winners hit on all of these.

Unless he is on the Commissioner's Exempt list, he can be traded.  These are civil charges, not criminal charges at this point.  He can be moved before the draft and will be "cheaper" to get as a result of these allegations.  If you are hoping all 32 NFL franchises suddenly find a conscience and do the honorable thing, good luck with that.... Dude

It's not a conscience that stops these teams from trading for him, it's public opinion.. which will hit their wallets and cause massive distractions.  No one wants to start answering the millions of questions that come with making this trade right now. He's totally not getting traded until this gets resolved which might take years.

The inconvenient truth is that Mitchell signed with us because Josh’s playing style lends itself to injury. He sees an opportunity to play well in relief and get a rich contract next year. Good for him but i’m hoping that against all odds that he’s just a comforting presence in the QB room and an expert clipboard commando.

Did you watch Allen last year? Allen is a veteran, period. He took some shots in the playoffs, sure.. but he knows what he's doing out there, now.

Mitch signed with the Bills BECAUSE of Josh Allen's development. If you want to get better as a quarterback, Buffalo TODAY, is arguably the top destination in NFL history.

He's an older speed guy coming off an injury plagued year...  I don't think people should be shocked.

I'd still rather have Sanders at his price tag.  Love Brown, but he isn't what we need to beat a team like KC with their press man coverage.

That's gotta be what they see in Sanders, right? He can beat the press coverage even if he's a bit banged up?

I honestly wasn't thrilled to see that much money go to a 33 year old WR on the decline.

Oh, I'm not stressed about Gronk's rationale here or thinking there's a stigma about the Bills.

Take TE/Gronk/whatever out of it. All I'm getting at is that Beane valued Position A highly, as indicated by his making a competitive offer to one of the top 3 players at Position A.  The top 3 players at Position A have signed elsewhere. Beane clearly values this position highly, so I'm curious how he plans to fill the hole he believes is there.

Makes sense. I read into that as Beane having a responsible $ ceiling with every roster position, and when the price goes out of reach.. he walks away from the table. It's refreshing compared to seeing other teams overspend out of fear that someone else gets the player.

What I'm saying is that that if this report is true, Beane clearly values obtaining a good TE. The top 3 available TEs have signed elsewhere, meaning we're less likely to fill that hole. Don't love that aspect of it.

No matter how high our trajectory is right now.. Gronk wants to play with Brady, so I wouldn't stress too much over this.  They're also defending super bowl champs.

I wonder if sustained success is the model or if the Bills should go for it the next 2 seasons and make more "win now" moves? Given that Josh's contract is going to heavily impact things in 2022-2023 (depending on the timing of his contract) and beyond is the window to win smaller than projected? It will be very telling to see how they approach this off-season. So far the choices have been to be more balanced and pick their spots for larger deals.

I think there's two windows here at play.

Window 1- Allen under his rookie contract.

Window 2-Allen in the prime of his career.

Window 1 is short, and IMO not worth gambling away years from window-2 that can so easily get derailed in the NFL with injury or other factors coming from a 16 game season. Mahommes winning a superbowl is a MASSIVE outlier where everthing fell into place..even down to his superbowl opponent/opposing qb/opposing coach.

No... Pro Bowl is coaches, players and fans...

Teams have contract incentives (which are monetary and cap related) for MVP and All-Pro and such... which is voted on by the press. Incentives for Pro-Bowl too... any better way to do it?

That's better.. but players and fans votes should be ignored in the equation.
