I would hardly call the second one a blunder, that was just a freak occurrence/force of nature. I'll eat my shoe if the WTF actually had that installed as a special teams play to make the ball just dead hover at the top if its arc, bounce at the 25 and then bounce back into the arms of Dustin Hopkins.

My issue with the play was that Mckenzie needed to lay out to try and catch that ball. You cannot let it hit the ground. Running up to a few yards from it, stopping, and letting it hit the ground shows a lack of understanding of the situation.

  2. Issues in the past were as follows.

1- We had to sell out to stop the run.. and that was still not enough.

2- We generated ZERO pass rush.

3- We COULD NOT RUN THE BALL against light boxes.

KC not only beat us in the above categories.. but they DOMINATED us in them.  We've improved in all these areas, but by how much? We'll find out this week.

Only the Sponsored ones have a fan vote - Pepsi ROW, Fed Ex air, Fed ex ground etc. Not the weekly AFC/NFC Offense, Defense and ST, which is what this is. They are voted on by the AP.

why isn’t burrow deserving by the way?

Burrows numbers vs the Jags 25/32, 348, 2TD

    Tyreek Hill 11/180/3TD

Hill's numbers will likely hold up as the #1 game for an NFL receiver all season.

This is cool and I’m not trying to be a jerk because Ive never participated and any Edmunds tongue lashings around here, but if 6 tackles and 1 int got it done how non-existent were the rest of NFL defenses this week? Lol

Maybe being the centerpiece to another dominant performance was involved in the voting.

You're spot on.. somehow Tyreek Hill lost to Joe Burrow last week too.. so these things are meaningless.

I don't hate Edmunds either for the record. Just acknowledging that POW awards are given by fans.

  5. Maybe this is what it looks like when competition exists at such a high level? Also, get different guys in there and comfortable playing? Idk but they look great against these weaker opponents. If they dominate KC/hold them to low-20s... I will be very excited for the season.

We are about to find out soon. I expect the Bills to handle business against the Texans but B2B primetime road games vs KC and TEN will say a lot. Hoping they get both but a split in those games is acceptable as well.  Looking at the schedule at KC, TEN, TB, NO are the toughest games left.

Totally. We have a pretty easy schedule this year outside of those games. Must be what NE got used to for 20 years playing in the AFC east.

I agree with a lot of the posts on how ridiculous some of the pass interference calls are getting.  What drives me crazy the most is how touchy they will call them all season, then comes the playoffs and it's totally different and you have to actually mug someone to get a flag.  I wish they'd at least keep in consistent all season long.

This could arguably be a brilliant strategy for a team... Instill strict discipline all regular season, then get the reputation for being the least penalized team in the league, play overly aggressive with holds in the playoffs which legitimately destroys a game's level of fairness, Win super bowl!

  8. Great post. I always think back to when the Pats would all of the sudden be unstoppable running the ball one game, and then go back to letting Brady do his thing the following game. When teams are selling out for the pass, a competent professional caliber team should be able to take advantage of those situations. It feels like the Bills are moving towards that, and continuity is required for this.

  9. A Montana to Young, or a Favre to Rogers situation is worlds better than a Brady to Brady situation my friend. It's so insanely unrealistic to think that the Pats will have the two greatest quarterbacks of all time go back to back.

The number of things that had to come together for Brady to become what he is today is also astronomical. That's just for one Brady.
