They don’t have the luxury at receiver to make decisions for this year only. Neither Sanders, Beasley or McKenzie are going to play out Allen’s contract, but those guys, and potentially even Kumero do, and shouldn’t be crazy expensive to resign.

Good point here, didn't even think of that aspect. Did make me think, it'll hopefully be fun one day looking back at all maybe all the recievers that Josh Allen turns into pro-bowlers/hall of famers.

He would come in a sub for whoever he backs up for a certain number of snaps a game. He’d be the primary receiver on plays where he is in the game and the play call calls for that receiver to be the primary option.

I don’t think they would call different plays because he was in the game, so he’ll get his shot. Gotta remember the other players are not at the same position and they aren’t going to not let his routes be primary when he subs in ever, otherwise they would know he’s basically in as a decoy while Diggs or Davis catch a breather in their outside receiver position.

That said they’ll play different formations to get those guys breathers too, so probably will be more of a matchup thing when he gets in, but he will play and he won’t be hidden as a non option/last option every play.

So you think it's pretty much coming down to who can add to the team this season opposed to losing your higher ceiling guy?

I guess I wouldn't go against that argument based on what I've perceived from this coaching staff.

  3. Objectively, we're talking about the 6th receiver on the team. How many balls this year will be thrown to the #6 receiver? Probably not too many, and whoever this player is, will probably not be the sole difference to a single W or L this upcoming season. For that reason... you keep whoever you think has the higher potential, and you live with seeing Kumorow in a different uniform.

The other guy who tested positive (Boettger I think?) was back quickly. Dawkins had symptoms and I think his cardio sucks right now as a result. People reported that he looked labored while just jogging on the sidelines at camp.

Hindsight was paying out contracts before learning if people would be willing to vaccinate.

You can be the most talented OL in the world, but if you get a moderate case of Covid, you're very feasibly months away from getting back into shape.

You remember the championship game where basically every one of our WRs were banged up?

You can never predict exactly what position will be the most banged up come playoff time..

I will say, the improvement that is needed would be better O-line run blocking and better TE production. I wouldn't look at the AFC championship game outcome and come to the conclusion that more WRs is the fix.

Is the NFL still making you go into protocol if you're vaccinated and test positive for COVID?   Not to get political, but the Texas Dems are allegedly all vaccinated and currently have a 10% breakthrough rate, so far..

I gotta believe that if you test positive you're going to be under whatever protocol regardless of vaccination status. But only 'unvaccinated' players require daily testing.

I too was surprised by the wide range. This would make a great research project if the NFL or teams would allow someone to do it: "How did the messaging of management and coaching staff affect the receptivity and vaccination rates of NFL players?" And, are there applications there for the greater society?

If I'm an NFL team, I'm paying players as much money as it takes to take the vaccine. Cost of losing a key player(s) during a critical game would be way more.

I'm happy he's comfortable enough with himself to come out. I'm not sure what it has to do with football.

Nothing against him, I just think it's crazy people want people to stay out of their business and let them "live their life" yet put their business on public forum.

Glad he's happy with himself though.

I think it's a safe assumption that there is more than one gay player in the NFL today.

why did he even have to "come out" anyway, his personal life is his business, seems more like unnecessary theater to me.  you're gay, whoop-de-frickin-dooo, so are millions of other Americans.

Why do you think he might have been hesitant to come out?

man i would hate to see what you thought of the browns D.   Buffalo's D won the game against the ravens that in combination with tucker missing 2 FG's and somehow recovering that josh allen fumble.  i mean the bills had like 200 yds of offense in that game.

Our scheme and D seem to match up incredibly well vs Baltimore.  Don't get me wrong, I think our coaches are best in the business.

I think this team has one of the most ridiculously high ceilings imaginable. I keep saying this team overachieved last year based on the talent level on D, but I mean that in the best and most optimistic way possible. Shore up the defense, and watch this team become unstoppable.
