Lots of speculation coming from Steelers land about the future of TJ Watt, given the Pickens trade.
I can’t imagine Rodgers would be thrilled going there at this point, and if they don’t get him, (not saying he solves anything anyway) what exactly are they doing right now?
Would be ironic for an impact DE to come available and it’s not Crosby, Garrett or Hendrickson. And it happens after we go hard on DL in the Draft.
I think I’d stay away from this hypothetical though. Not sure how long Watt has left as an elite rusher, he’ll want a new contract and we just invested so heavily on the DL that I don’t even know what that looks like?
Epenesa and a pick(s) for Watt + a massive contract for a guy with a potentially limited shelf life? Eh.
They traded Pickens only because he is problem player, why would they trade for Metcalf if they are rebuilding?Pickens was looking for top receiver money and they cashed out before having no choice but to pay him

He comes with the dreaded high motor tag, but I think he is a lot more than that. REALLY looking forward to seeing what he can do.
High motor guys don't usually have freak like athletic talent, this guy looks like the next TJ Watt

I could see them trading Oliver next offseason, that gives the Bills one year for rookies to develop. As for Beane, he traded a 3rd rounder for Copper because the receivers on this team struggle to get separation.
It cost us in final drive against Chiefs in title game

Who is our outside WRs? Where are they? Did Keon play so good that we can count on him to be WR2? Is Palmer WR 1? Can we count on Samuels to be healthy the entire season? Who is our 5th WR?
Palmer 1
Keon 2
Shakir slot
Samuels
Buffalo saw more man to man coverage last season, because no one respects our WR. We have had FA and the draft to correct that, and Beane has done Jack *****.
its going to take another Ravens curb stomping to make Beane panic and make another Amari like trade.
It’s the emperors new clothes. We have yet to replace John Brown. This offense needs a vertical component which it is sorely lacking.
I know Bills had great offense- after we acquired Amari.
We lose Mack and Amari, and added Palmer.
Name a worse WR group.
What happens if there is a WR injury? Is WR Beanes Achilles heal?
Beane still has not helped out Allen by getting him a true #1 receiver and it's been 2 drafts since trading Diggs. I though he had a real good draft staring in the 3rd round. Could have easily used 1st or 2nd rounders on a wr

The last 2 picks may have been Beane best draft choices since Allen, I was not real happy with first 2 picks, but I'm amazed at what he did with 3rd and 4th ruounders. This gamecocks HC talking about walker just before playing Kentucky. Our D-LINE may be the best we have had in years
The Gamecocks are set to play one of the nation's best interior defensive lineman in Kentucky's Deone Walker. A player so good that South Carolina head coach Shane Beamer labeled Walker as a "Game Wrecker" in Tuesday's press conference.
Walker is a junior and projected first round pick for the Wildcats' defense. He routinely blows up plays and changes offensive schemes with an ideal blend of size, power, and athleticism. Coach Beamer talked about Walker's rare blend of traits and how that makes him special.
"There's a reason people say he's going to be a top ten pick in the NFL draft. He's so big. Most big guys are big and just big, this guy is big and twitchy and big and athletic. He's got the twitch and wiggle to defeat double teams, make himself small if that's possible and split double teams. He's good at pass rush there's no question about it, but where he really scares people and scares us is in the run game. He's got our respect," Coach Beamer describes the Wildcats' defensive leader.

Love this pick.
The guy can wreck plays but you don’t really know how he did it. Just a big, powerful dude coming downhill.
Gives us bookend freak size off the EDGE with Rousseau.
This guy just saved me from really being pissed off at Beane,

I feel like this is an absolute reach. An undersized defensive lineman.
I was reading comments from Gamecocks fans, most thought he was an average player. Beane has picked two straight players that are undersized guys, this guy reminds me of Boogie who was another 2nd second bust that they talked up and no one heard about for talked about before the draft
Why waste our second rounder for a reach player?
Edited----- I give Beane an A based on his 3rd & 4th rounders. D-line is looking like it could become dominant

Depends how much is incentives. I doubt it is a lot more than vet min minus incentives.
Let's hope your correct

I don't like this signing , vet min would have been max amount. White was traded by LA because he could no longer cover and were bringing him on a high price tag to be a mentor. This is why we can't get over the hump, it's these types od signings by Beane.

I thought this was pretty cool. Using Josh Allen's inspirational story as an example for perseverance and self improvement.
I don't agree, unlike others. Josh Allen is one of most gifted QB'S ever to play the game, you don't improve arm strength. Allen's story is more about colleges ignoring his amazing arm talent.

Beane just trolling Cook at this point.
He should just trade Cook, he is a good back but not a 3 down back and Beane need to get a 4th or maybe late 3rd for him and move on. This is pass first league and dumping 14-15 mllion into RB position is only going to leave us short in the receiver position

Get it done Beane
Beanne may have slightly overpaid on this contract and maybe could have been able to resign both with the same amount of cap space. Don't get me wrong I think Benford he a very solid corner, I just don't believe he is a lockdown elite level guy. The guy was drafted in the 6th round for a reason, average speed (4.56 forty)and his stats look good because of McDermott's soft zones which requires smarts and being able to read the QB.
The fact is he struggles as does are whole pass defence when playing against speedy receivers. We cannot play much man to man press coverage because are corners would get torched
I still think Benford would make an all pro level safety because of his smarts /tackling and maybe that happens at the back end of this contract should the Bills get better quality corners with speed.
As for now, just watching the whole video after signing Benford seem like class guy with high character & I only hope that he can stay healthy and avoid any further concussions because if the concussions continue like he finished last year nothing will matter

This guy gets it.
100%, Cook is a good back but not a 3 down back. Bills need to invest more resources /capital into receiver position not rb. Trade for a 3rd or 4th and draft his replacement. Cook has one of the lowest usage rates in the NFL for starting fb's and he has to come off the field on 3rd down. He put up some good numbers but not elite and look what happened to his brother right after he got paid

Sound like this has been poorly managed or contractors overcharging, the Bills should be getting a done for the net final price

I get it, I just would like to see Beane have a year where he can add a difference maker or two through free agency

Except this deal actually creates $10m in cap space. The NFL salary cap is often illusionary.
Are you saying this year it creates 10 mllion

I think if Beane can get another team to take back Samuel then I would be happy to bring back Davis
