So one guy comes out and says there’s drama so that must be true? I’m not saying it can’t be true, but what if Schefter is right? If it turns out to not be true, what are the repercussions for this dude stating wild accusations? Probably nothing because these guys aren’t held to any standards any more.

can’t it just be the team was figured out fell apart? That their first year (who they replaced) just wasn’t very good?

He didn't say anything too wild, unless I missed something. Eagles players came out themselves at the end of the year saying there was locker room drama.

At least now they're playing home games in the home team sites. Watching a game with 12 people in the stands was pretty pathetic.

It had zero effect on me, surprisingly. They still played the football game.

you mean they should quit college and move to, say, Birmingham to play?

I know, the thought of simply playing pro ball full time is weird

I actually don't think there will be in the nfl, besides the things we have already seen from a handful of players

Guys get paid way too much money, where fixing a game isn't worth the risk or the amount of money you would have to bet would be very noticeable quickly

I think a lower level/mid major college or in the usfl/XFL it's very much on the table and only a matter of time

This is a very basic way of thinking about organized gambling and fixing.

You think a boxer going down in the 10th for a briefcase of cash is the extent of fixing?

Looking at the jets and im like... Breece Hall is blue chip and James cook is not?

And what is the taron johnson concern?  He was all-pro this year.

If you look at the color key, I have to assume Taron Johnson is just an age concern. Same with Diggs. Obviously these guys are great.

As for Breece Hall, the line is very close between him and Cook. Hall had more all purpose yards and considerably more TDs I think, without looking at the stats right now.

For Hall, the talent's always been there. He was drafted high and showed it right away. Cook started slow. So, I think there's a question mark regarding his potential to be consistently great.

So if you don’t want to watch the WFL/USFL/XFL etc…, you aren’t a “true” football fan?  Okay football super fan. How is the view from your pedestal?

It's great! I get to watch more football than you lowly peasants.

it's not a rival league. It's made of players who can't play in the NFL.

Well, how do you think a league can work itself up to become a rival? It's not going to get there immediately.

But, alas, that's the world that casual "football fans" live in ....

The other poster complained about the NFL having a monopoly and wants the government to step in, but then doesn't even support the up-and-coming league.

    Just stupid.

The concern is what “good players” cost. Greg’s fifth year option is going to cost $13M. Danielle Hunter (a more productive but older player) is projected to get $20M AAV. What will Greg get the year after?

Do we pay Rousseau $20M a season to be a “good player?”

That's not a concern to me. If they don't think he's good enough, then don't pay him. Groot himself is the only one who should be concerned. For the FO and fans, it seems pretty simple.

First, you want Congress to do something? Congress???

Second, no one is stopping others from launching a rival league to the NFL. Anyone with a spare trillion can do it.

The funny thing is there IS A RIVAL LEAGUE that we should be supporting. And it's really fun. But I think the majority of NFL fans aren't true FOOTBALL fans. They don't watch anything but the NFL and maybe just their own college team.

    They're fans of the brand.

Our mate from Kansas City that posts here did make a good point the other day…

Outside the QB … is there another superstar on this Bills team ?

KC has a couple …including Chris Jones who I think is the most valuable defensive player in the game at present …

They got 2 great CBs ( better than anything we got) … superior interior OL ( that handled Oliver with ease… ) and Kelce on the decline but still a big game winner …

Bills have got a lot of “above average “ players … but not too many game winners outside JA..

Matt Milano, Jimbo Cook....Kincaid is just a rookie, but he seems like the real deal.

I might argue with that. The first row in the sidelines may not be as low as the current stadium. I’m sure they would rather have some more space away from fans right on top of the players while on sideline. As well as it is likely better for the fans to be up 5’ compared to what it currently is now. The first few rows have a hard time seeing the action over the players on the sidelines as it is. End zones are likely free game and will be just as low. And from what I have seen they will offer field level seating in at least one end zone. There’s quite a few stadiums that have them.

That's great. You're not arguing with anything. Just speculating.
