You'll see that here, or anywhere on the internet. Everything is meta - people don't post "news," they repost someone's politically charged hot take on the news. There are still some very good deeply reported stories out there, but the number of news outlets that have the capacity to do really good, long investigation journalism is minimal now.

Pretty damn fast! It's interesting because there's no apparent reason for Diggs to be upset about anything. I mean, if it was a contract thing we'd know. If it was bringing in a Hopkins and Diggs feels slighted, like he's not a true #1, that'd be obvious. He's just pissed off about something and nobody's saying. I enjoy the speculation. I kind of like the "I know a guy who knows a guy" stuff. Football is a diversion, and right now I'm happily diverted.

True. But that was in the days when the media left a politician's private life alone, unless it was the classic "caught with a dead girl or a live boy." More recently: We've seen things that are public, are clear and obvious, that violated long-established behavioral norms that would have traditionally destroyed a politician, now seemingly irrelevant to voters.
