  1. I have no doubt Tucker will make money after Fox. Probably more money. There’s fools right here who’ll be willing to by “Premium Tucker Access” online for $19.95 a month. Or whatever his latest grift may be. But if he had wanted to leave Fox, why on earth did he wait till now? The answer is obvious: because he didn’t want to leave until Uncle Rupert said “time to leave, Tucker.” You burnt testicle fanboys are really under his spell.
  2. Of course he was. How naive can you be? It’s right there: Rupert Murdoch himself did it. Totally coincidental that he just last week had to pay the largest defamation case judgment/settlement in history. But you go on believing in fairy tales. It must make you feel better about yourself.
  3. Well that’s certainly some revisionist history. Or 20/20 hindsight. Or whatever you want to call it. With or Without You, Andrew Luck Edition: - Colts 2011 (Peyton out all year, Suck for Luck): 2-14 - Colts 2012 (Luck arrives): 11-5 - Colts 2017 (Luck out all year): 4-12 - Colts 2018 (Luck comeback): 10-6 - Colts 2019 (Luck shock retirement): 7-9 So value of Luck over a replacement level QB is something like +6 wins per season? We are spoiled in Buffalo now. Depth of the off-season deep thoughts coming… Q. What would we have done with Luck at QB in 2012 instead of Fitz? A. We would have made the playoffs. Probably 10-6. Probably switching places with the Colts, who did make the playoffs with Luck. Chan Gailey would’ve stayed. No Doug Marrone. No EJ Manuel. No Rex Ryan. No Tyrod Taylor. And then Luck would’ve retired on us in 2019, we would’ve tanked, and we would have taken Joe Burrow with the first pick in 2020. And made the Super Bowl in 2021. 🤪
  4. Learn how to parse lawyer language. Dominion is saying the firing of Tucker had nothing to do with the settlement of its lawsuit against Fox. In other words: “the firing of any Fox News hosts was not a term of the settlement.” But of course logically it is obviously related. Litigation settled last week, Tucker fired before the beginning of the new week. Remind me to never get lost in your neck of the woods and try to turn around in your driveway. You seem like lots of fun to spend time with.
  5. Of course it is. The two (Ten Commandments in schools and teaching of “Creation Science”) were part of the same Christian Right agenda 20 years ago. Why would you think anything has changed this time around?
  6. No. But I do want to see that big Noah’s Ark in Kentucky. Seems like that’s where the ark ran aground.
  7. You mean the GUY WHO JUST SAID RUPERT MURDOCH HIMSELF PULLED THE TRIGGER? (Oops. You may want to rethink that whole “Tucker voluntarily resigned” thing)
  8. The whole Ten Commandments in schools/public buildings thing is so 2004. Next up: that other old favorite, equal time for “creationism” and evolution in schools. All while Americans get dumber and dumber. I think I’m going to start the Church of the Golden Calf and demand that schools put my calf statue next to the Ten Commandments. That dance around the calf always seemed a lot more fun than the alternative.
  9. Of course he’d have your vote. Because you both hate Trump passionately?
  10. Tavon Austin. I thought he had truly special speed and quickness. It’s easy in hindsight, but I thought he would be what Tyreek Hill came to be.
  11. The Bernie Bros who then voted for Trump. Many of the "right" posters here who agree with the nuttery RFK Jr. is bringing to the 2024 race. And as my primary exhibit, I give you France: Within the left-wing Nupes grouping, a majority of supporters of the Communist and France Unbowed parties prefer Le Pen, while backers of the Greens and Socialists favor Macron. https://news.yahoo.com/french-poll-finds-far-le-080814247.html?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuemVyb2hlZGdlLmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAIMLaoXMUUbLC8XEY_HPBD2OXszmz6NPD6ZSyvs5TYHO8t-jXRCwYKYOMDuz6RSma5ldza0LQUvaOp0lfwMpBd3S8xL7MRK0uIBbZyzJtXn_a7rZwA3of4cmyUsVXUT0lxLgXqADG1GuCqeapvka0-oqgjhFaSEt-3xHDNbEgFEU Remember, these are unabashed Communists. Not what some of our faves here like to call "commies." Real, honest-to-goodness, Workers-of-the-World-Unite Marxist communists. And they prefer an unabashedly right-wing "nationalist" (read: racist) candidate over an (Bill) Clinton-Obama-Biden type democrat. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horseshoe_theory#:~:text=In political science and popular,a horseshoe are close together. In political science and popular discourse,[1] the horseshoe theory asserts that the extreme left and the extreme right, rather than being at opposite and opposing ends of a linear political continuum, closely resemble each other, analogous to the way that the opposite ends of a horseshoe are close together. The theory is attributed to the French philosopher and writer Jean-Pierre Faye.[2] Proponents point to a number of perceived similarities between extremes and allege that both have a tendency to support authoritarianism or totalitarianism.
  12. Not if you're talking about Rusty Kuntz.
  13. Thanks for pulling this info together. Kuntz is really intriguing. How is it that Penn State found no use for him (he transferred to Old Dominion after his junior year). 6'8", 4.55 40?
  14. Almost all football players keep going even as permanent damage to their bodies from continuing becomes very likely.
  15. Exactly how old is DR’s Ghost? Calling people a commie kind of went out in the 70s. I’m guessing white male, 71 years old. Good thing he won’t be seeing this.
  16. That's already been proven. https://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/politics/special/campfin/background.htm As usual, Trump and his minions just took it to a whole new level. And in their ham-handed naivete, they made it a lot easier to expose.
  17. You mean like how Ted Cruz engineered a government shutdown that catapulted him into the White House?
  18. This is hilarious. Actual computer forensics expert decides to take Mr Pillow up on his challenge. Goes to his conference where Lindell said "Prove that what I show you is not real 2020 election data." Reviews the "data." Turns out its not data at all; just random numbers and letters, a lot of it in pdf format. Claims the $5 million prize. Lindell denies the claim. Expert files for arbitration, which was a clause included in the contest. Then Lindell's lawyers come back with this: Lindell testified at arbitration that he did not share what he had described as his key data to support the foreign intrusion claim during the conference. He held off, he said, after a man seeking a selfie poked him in the side as the symposium was nearing an end — an act that Lindell called an assault and said he took as a signal the government might tamper with his central information if he made it public. Lindell told the panel that, after the incident, his “red team” advisers warned him against making that information public. “They said it could be a poison pill put in the data and we really shouldn’t release the China stuff,” he said. Got that? Lindell called his conference to share his blockbuster data. We find out it isn't even something that can be called "data." Lindell responds: but I didn't let you see the real damning stuff! It was too dangerous to release that!! Geez, I'm beginning to think that Trump won't be restored as President after all.
  19. BillsFanNC doubles down on the Performative Blocking! Why on earth would I think he's a disciple of our former resident nutcase? Could it have something to do with adopting a screen name honoring that fool?
  20. You are learning that I am no blind supporter of any party's agenda. Clarification: the 15 week abortion ban with certain exceptions doesn't bother me on the STATE level. There is no place for federal involvement here.
  21. Of course Disney won't move WDW out of Orlando. Of course they won't stop investing in Florida. But could they do something more calculated to send a message to a grandstanding Governor? Move some Disney Cruise departures to New Orleans? Make a big deal about moving some movie/TV production work out of Florida? Absolutely. Don't mess with the mouse.
  22. I'm gonna shock you guys here. NC Bills Fan or DR's Lap Dog or whatever he calls himself may just have to unblock me (I mean, pretend that he'd blocked me and isn't blocking me anymore or whatever). But here it is: The Republicans took the House. They should investigate whether Joe Biden benefited in any manner from Hunter Biden's sleazy lobbying activities. It shouldn't be an everything everywhere all at once investigation, but rather a focused investigation on exactly what Hunter promised to the people that hired him (with respect to access to the big guy) and whether Joe Biden was aware that such promises were made, and whether he ever profited from Hunter's activities. That narrow point should be investigated. I have no idea what they're waiting for. They ran on this. Hunter is a sleaze, there is enough there to at least ask some questions of some people under oath.
  23. Hey, that's all true. But Trump doesn't deal in truth. He deals in more visceral responses. And he has absolutely no shame. 76 year old obese man decides he's gonna attack 44 year old Italian American who could stand to lose, I dunno, 10-15 pounds (just like most of us) by calling him "Meatball Ron." Political consultants would say "No!" Don't go there. You'll piss off Italians and fat people. And there's a really, really lot of fat people. But Trump doesn't worry about those things. He wants to create a simple negative association that sticks. "Low energy Jeb." You will not beat him by playing his game. He is the master of the low blow, the outrageous political stunt. You have much to learn, Grasshopper Ron.
  24. Then why are Republicans hellbent on introducing federal abortion bans? Lindsey Graham - not exactly a backbencher - started the ball rolling on this right after Dobbs. And even "mainstream" Republicans like Tim Scott are suggesting that they'd sign a federal abortion ban. They will not accept a Supreme Court "yes" for an answer. Why not? Because this was never about "leaving it to the states." That was the lie everybody told to try to get Roe overturned. It was about banning abortion. Period. That wacko judge in Texas just said the quiet part out loud.
