  1. I haven't seen Undone, but I enjoyed Legion. I'll give Undone a looksee. WandaVision may have started kid-friendly (although the Twilight Zone choking scene in the first episode was way creepy) but a certain character who was finally revealed in the last episode took the show into very dark territory that no child (or two, as the case may be) should tread. If you know the comic book source material there is a potential baddie that may be revealed who might be the darkest character ever to hit the little screen. I can't image the CGI necessary to bring him to the screen properly.
  2. I mentioned this Disney+ show in the streaming shows thread and got crickets for a response. The show, which sets up Phase Four of the MCU, is groundbreaking in many ways. It perfectly spoofs old sitcoms from each decade beginning with the ‘50s. It has more Easter eggs than the Cadbury Bunny. It has clever writing and clue layering that is reminiscent of “Lost” at it’s peak. And the acting is stellar and I predict that the cast will clean up at next year’s Emmys. If you’re not watching this show, you’re missing out as it appeals on so many levels. It is currently 7 episodes in on a 9 episode run. When the current episode dropped, at midnight on Friday, it caused Disney+ to crash because so many millions of people were logging on to see it. The next two Marvel movies, “Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” and “Spider-Man 3,” will draw heavily from what is being set out on “WandaVision.” Oh, and did I mention that it features the lovely Elizabeth Olsen? It’s one of the most inventive shows ever. Who’s watching and what are your thoughts on the show?
  3. For those wondering why Indy had to give up so little look no further than the contract they have to inherit with Wentz. He signed an extension that kicks in this year for $128 million, with $70 million guaranteed. He will count 35 million this year against Indy’s cap. That could really handcuff them if he blows up in their faces.
  4. I agree with the thought of not having a new thread for every cap casualty. I thought this one merited a thread because of Beane’s strong propensity to sign released Carolina players, especially on the defensive side of the ball.
  5. You know the drill by now, get ‘er done Beane. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/30911809/carolina-panthers-intend-release-dt-kawann-short-source-says

  7. Played for the Jets last year. 14 passes for 118 yards in 5 games.
  8. It's been 11 years since 7/11 played college lacrosse. He's heading back to his old sport for a new go around. No word if that means he's retiring from the NFL. https://www.espn.com/espn/story/_/id/30893889/nfl-wide-receiver-chris-hogan-declares-premier-lacrosse-league-entry-draft
  9. A great scene and one of the best movie quotes ever. RIP, Larry. Larry Flynt: "You don't want to quit me, I'm your dream client: I'm the most fun, I'm rich, and I'm always in trouble."
  10. Well that was quick. Winner, it is LLoyd Bridges with a very young dude Jeff Bridges.
  11. Can you name these two?
  12. Jackie Gleason?
  13. If it's Spectrum you can have it removed from the package and save $10 per month. I was told by my rep that it had to be part of the deal, but I asked for a supervisor and found out that, like most things in life, it's negotiable.
  14. So I came across a video of these beautiful sisters from Belfast harmonizing to some classic C,S,N & Y and I thought they were great vocalists, but probably not unlike other folk singers. Boy, was I wrong. Check them out busking on the streets of Ireland while rocking one of Cream’s gems. Fantastic!
  15. Just binged the available 3 episodes of WandaVision on Disney+. A must for MCU aficionados. Spoofs old sitcoms with many Easter 🥚s that reference other Marvel shows and movies. Plus Elizabeth Olsen is more beautiful than ever.
  16. Uh, did you see the Colts game and those back-to-back toe drags? Some slump...
  17. He lived an amazing life. RIP
  18. Among his many roles were “Chano” on “Barney Miller” and “Julio Fuentes” on “Sanford and Son.” One of the greatest character actors ever. RIP, Gregory. https://variety.com/2021/tv/news/gregory-sierra-dead-barney-miller-sanford-and-son-1234890674/
