He isn’t “causing” a financial disaster. He inherited one. Where a consequence of remedying it the right way is going to mean some short term problems. With long run economic stability and sanity being restored. And no, it wasn’t supply chain issues. It was that we put 10 trillion dollars of government spending into an economy where we made everyone stay home in order to keep us afloat all for a flu we still have no answers to.

None of those questions were asked when prices across the board spiked from 2022-2024. None of those questions were asked when 15 days became indefinitely. The answer is “when we get this ship right” that’s the answer. Or just continue printing and throwing money at the problem.

Yep. If you won’t cut entitlements, this is the only way. Unless you want to continue to prop up a fake economy with more government spending and more inflation - all unsustainable. Soft landing was a myth - as evidenced by inflation rising again in January
