Texans play the Jags, Broncos, Jets, Browns, Titans (twice), and at Indy to end the season. I see 3 losses there max. I don’t see the Browns losing more than 3 games. They freaking won at Baltimore. The Steelers are a joke. I don’t see a WC path at 10-7. The Steelers have 3 conference losses. They play the Bengals twice, New England, Indy, and at Baltimore. Where are 3 losses here?

Yea the more I look at their schedules there is almost no way the WC aren’t going to be Cleveland Houston Pittsburgh If we get to 10-7 I’m not sure how we have a tiebreaker with any of those 3. None of them are going to be worse than 10-7. The path in is win the division. I'm not convinced the Dolphins don’t find a way to lose 3 more - 1 of them being to us. We can’t afford to lose more then 1 more game. 10-7 won’t get in. We could realistically be 10-6 or 9-7 going into the last game with Miami. I can see Miami losing to the Jets once, Dallas, Baltimore.

If we beat the Chiefs that would be 3 home losses for them. When the hell was the last time that happened?

Beat Philly and we can talk about playoff odds. I don’t want to hear about them till we do that. We should be their trap game. And after watching Miami do all it could to lose to the Raiders I’m not convinced they win Friday. Mostart looks gassed. Achane is glass. Jets may respond to the QB change.

My take is McD needs to be replaced with an OC as HC. Nothing is going to change my mind unless he makes the playoffs. I couldn’t fire him then considering the injuries on D. But I don’t expect that. The losses this year as I watch the AFC disintegrate are just infuriating now. I don’t need to see this defense at home dominate the Mike Whites and Skyler Thompson Davis Mills Zach Wilson Kenny Picketts of the world anymore. I don’t care. But my belief is if the offense gets “fixed” the McD-Brady-NewDC leads the clubhouse for likely coaching setup in 2024. I won’t hate it. If they believe Brady is on to something. But I don’t trust this staff anymore. The Diggs drama should have been and probably is the biggest red flag. And if successful we’ll be looking for a new OC in 2025. Lot more pressure to win and stay healthy next season. I’d like a new voice to lead it.

McD needs to go. We are now going to hope he gets his 4th OC right - the best one he had somehow he managed to alienate and not build off what he had. How? Who hired Dorsey? Who made the final decisions? McD thought Dorsey was a fit for Allen and failed. Who made the call to turn a QB with downfield DNA and the ability to throw the ball wherever he wants into Trent Edwards - he physically looks bored and disengaged playing EXCLUSIVELY that way. But that’s the offense they gave him. Here is some Deonte Harty to do nothing and a little Trent Sherfield. We’re going to also draft no WRs since the Diggs trade of any significance and disregard the RB position. The abandonment of the attacking down field offense featuring Allen runs and improvisation has been neutered and that is reason #2 why McD should be fired. The colossal chokes, boneheaded mistakes in big moments, and getting beat in games by offenses not led by Mike White or Skylar Thompson is reason #1. I’m beyond done. Spent a lot of time pondering all this from McD this week and the stuff being said and Diggs PC. The players have quit on him. Hope Brady works out I guess. But my belief is it won’t because it’s McD. He’s forever going to be running from 13 seconds. It’s unfortunate. But…..you can’t f… up like that and not expect it all to unravel. Told you all this within 2 minutes of us losing to the Chiefs. Fire Everyone I said. 2 years wasted. It better be for the best. Come on down Bobby Slowik or Ben Johnson.

If Detroit’s oline follows him then Ben Johnson What Slowik is doing in Houston is impressive. But those guys are 1A and 1B for me. Unless he at least gets to a Super Bowl or wins one. You have a decade of credibility after that. Maybe more.
