  1. I'd say it's going to play out like pretty much the last 20+ drafts have, except that it'll be a little warmer outside.
  2. So, she's being polite by asking permission, but then when she doesn't the answer she wants, she has to tell the world?!? Yeah, that's really asking permission.... Y'all say some of the most curious things.
  3. That is really where I was going with my question. Trying to find out if this rivalry is the best ever. If it's two of the top five, I'd say it has to be. This one isn't like the summit we'll have tomorrow, but you brought up Dawson, and when I was a kid, whose 2nd favorite team was the Chiefs, and all my friends 2nd favorite team was the Raiders - there was nothing better than Dawson vs. Lamonica.
  4. There should be more country music award shows.
  5. Because then she wouldn't be all over the internet.
  6. She's 39 years old. Chicks did not use to hit their prime at this age! I love her chubby cheeks............There was a closeup of her face for at least a minute while she was teaching J. Phoenix one of the cult's lessons in The Master...........I fell in love.
  7. Hah, so Bill Simmons weighed in on this very topic in his mailbag today: And you can’t have the “Best QB” conversation without these five guys being involved: Brady, Manning, Montana, Elway and Unitas. (Every other candidate comes with a “But … ,” whether it’s Marino, Favre, Young, Bradshaw, Luckman, Graham, Baugh or whomever.) Year after year, those five guys gave you the best chance to contend — of anyone — as long as you surrounded them with a half-decent team. I don’t think someone like Aaron Rodgers cares about being remembered as the GOAT; he just wants to win some titles, make some money, stay healthy and turn that list from five to six. http://grantland.com/features/that-championship-mailbag-2/
  8. I always said Elway was the best, and maybe he was. I always argued "he has the strongest arm, he's a great runner, a great leader (see The Drive), what else could you want?" But, then I recently became aware that Montana's stats in the 4 Super Bowls are 16 touchdowns, zero interceptions. Holy crap - could he be any more clutch. And, started thinking that the reason I would pick Elway out is because I really didn't watch a ton of any of these guys. Having season tickets for going on 30 years, I would be spending half the season at the Bills game and after game festivities. And, Sunday night is actually a good night for my business to be on the phone. So, if you're only seeing Elway and Montana for limited time (some playoff games, etc.), you're (or I) would be like holy cow - look at that arm. I remember being blown away the first time I saw him throw a bullet..............Montana takes a little more time to understand what he understands. His coolness, knowledge of the game.............He's not going to jump off the screen like Elway did with feats of athleticism.
  9. I was thinking the same thing - why did we get stuck in the same division with the two greatest coaches?!? And, you nailed it. It's not just as head coach, but he killed us in the Super Bowl and the Flutie Magic.
  10. His running ability especially made me fear him more than Montana. You've got a strange alphabet.
  11. Just the Bills luck!
  12. Peyton Manning picks Belichick: http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/peyton-manning-says-bill-belichick-down-greatest-nfl-215603584--nfl.html
  13. He was the most fun to watch..............But, he has to be the all time leader in critically ill-timed bonehead errors!
  14. Thanks. Very interesting read. I do remember him turning around the Dolphins immediately. I was 8 years old and couldn't understand it. What?!? The Dolphins always stink. They, the Bills and the Patriots all did in my first few years of knowing football. My father said it's because of the coach. He really knows what he's doing and got the players he wanted.
  15. Eli Manning sure didn't want to be in San Diego.
  16. Did Shula get fired?!? I always assumed he just wanted to go to Miami.
  17. Nice! Congrats, Frank!
  18. The reason I asked for 5 is that I'm wondering how historic Sunday's matchup is. Two top five all time QBs facing each other for the rubber match of AFC Championships.
  19. You all are agreeing with 27 on this. My question why not Elway?: I can't get past the top 4...I'm going with: Johnny U Joe Montana Peyton Manning Tom Brady Then I believe there's a huge drop off before you get to anyone else.
  20. Cool. You definitely sound well qualified!
  21. Fair enough, but you might as well round it out with Otto Graham then. He took the Browns to 10 straight championship games and won 7 of them. That's crazy.
  22. I was wondering if we've ever had a rivalry like Brady-Manning. I can't see one that is this good - meeting for the fourth time in the postseason, third time in the AFC Championship game. Two of the top five quarterbacks of all time. But, then I was wondering who would be the consensus top 5? I would think the nominees are: Otto Graham Johnny Unitas Joe Montana John Elway Dan Marino Steve Young (may not have had enough years as starting QB, but I believe he is still top rated QB ever) Peyton Manning Tom Brady Some may think Staubach, Favre and maybe somebody else should be in there, as well.
  23. It turned out this was Chuck Lester in disguise.
  24. Would love to see him get that OC job.
  25. Agree. It appears no way that coaches like Gruden and Cowher are coming back, just like Jimmy Johnson................Once they got a taste of an easier life, why would they go back to that year round incredible grind.
