  1. Already added to the first post. Trade came in just as they were switching programs, Schefter was literally reading as they went off air when I posted.
  2. My guess is, McLaurin wasn't penalized because he didn't take his helmet off until after Washington called a timeout. You can hear the whistles and the clock stopping beforehand in this clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HIAjwoJ9PEw Moore took his helmet off in celebration of scoring, which is unsportsmanlike conduct. Personally, I don't like the rule, but again, I'm guessing that's where the difference is.
  3. Fastest 3 minutes never covers the Sunday Night game. If you remember "ESPN NFL Primetime" back in the day, it aired before the Sunday Night game started, so no coverage.
  4. I can see both sides here. If the Bengals win, that probably means the Browns are more likely to be sellers at the trade deadline. But, if the Browns win, Cincinnati would be 4-4 and 0-3 in their division. Even in the AFC North, that may be hard to get a playoff spot, especially since we don't know how long Chase will be out. I lean towards the Browns winning, because, even with Watson, I think the Bengals would be a bigger challenge to the Bills in the playoffs than the Browns would be, especially assuming Chase is back by playoff time. One thing to keep in mind about the Browns potentially trading a player or players. They haven't had their bye week yet. I'm not sure of the exact rules, but I'm pretty sure that, if the Bills were to acquire a player in a trade from the Browns (or any team that hasn't yet had their bye) there is something that prevents a player from playing in 17 games, so they'd have to sit for a game, essentially getting their "bye."
  5. Honestly, I'm not bothered by people getting a kick out of it. It's just one of the quirks that I have that 9 out of 10 people probably didn't even realize until this post. The thing is, Mitchell & Ness also makes the 1994 throwback authentic jerseys, which DOES have the correct 2. Essentially, all I want is that, without the anniversary patches. Most times I've looked on Ebay, the closest I can come is used and I'd just prefer a new one, if at all possible. I suppose I could try emailing the store, but my guess is, whoever gets the emails will probably know less about the difference in the 2s than the people here, or worse, they'll try to convince me to buy a #18 Case Keenum jersey, so "you don't have to worry about which 2 is on it if it's an 8 instead!"
  6. They did the same thing last year for the Patriots MNF game.
  7. Looking at it again, almost has to be throwbacks against Cleveland. Either them or in December vs Miami. Can't imagine the Bills wanting Miami to come into Buffalo in December wearing their aqua jerseys. The Bills have worn the throwbacks on the road at times, but they've always worn them at home once in every season since McDermott's been here.
  8. Kelly's jersey was my first. Second was Bledsoe. Then, Takeo Spikes, followed by Marshawn Lynch, JP Losman (Wife), Paul Posluzsny (Wife), James Hardy, Mario Williams and Stevie Johnson (Wife). Sorry, we're not taking the responsibility of owning a Josh Allen jersey. You're all welcome. Nah, most of this just happened in the past few hours. I knew about the issue with Kelly's jersey and how he only wore the box in 86 for quite a while now. But then, I saw the game from 87 and saw others wearing the box, while Kelly was in the diagonal.
  9. The past couple years, it's been in December. vs Carolina last year and vs PIT on SNF in 2020. Wore them in Oct (Miami) and Dec (BLT) in 2019, Dec (DET) in 2018 and Dec (IND) in 2017. So, they've never worn them in November in the McDermott Era. I'm thinking you're more likely to see the white throwbacks against Cleveland than the reds. Chances are, the red uniforms will show up against a division rival. If I had to guess, they'll bring them out against Miami, forcing the Dolphins to wear white.
  10. I get it and personally, I REALLY like the white jersey/blue pants combo. BUT, I'm also pretty superstitious and the last time they wore that combo was in Jacksonville last season. Now, I'm curious. I know in baseball, some teams let the starting pitcher decide which jersey the team wears for that day. I also know in football, the home team chooses color or white, but do we know who makes the decision on things like pants color, when color rush is, when throwback is, etc?
  11. @NYJ - White Jersey MIN - Blue or Red Jersey CLE - ? @DET - White Jersey @NE - White Jersey NYJ - Blue or Red Jersey MIA - ? @CHI - White Jersey @CIN - White Jersey NE - Blue or Red Jersey https://www.gridiron-uniforms.com/GUD/controller/controller.php?action=teams-season&team_id=BUF&year=2022 Bills usually wear their white throwbacks and reds at home once each. May do it in NE, as the Pats are wearing throwbacks that night. Reds could be any remaining home game.
  12. Sent them an email. Be interesting to see if they have an answer... Or a job offer, lol
  13. This was posted in 2015 Bruce Smith did his yard up for Halloween last year
  14. Yeah, I know most people will say "who cares?" but sometimes, to some people, the details matter. I mean, I'm not even a Yankees fan, but it just looks wrong seeing a Babe Ruth jersey with the name "RUTH" on the back. Now, I never saw him play live (obviously) and his number was retired more than a quarter century before I was born. But, again, it just looks wrong. I guess I noticed the thing with the TV numbers on shoulders, but I assumed that they were up there if the player had big-ass shoulder pads, like Mueller, where it looks like the numbers wouldn't be seen if they were on the sleeves. Certainly not the case with Flip Johnson, though.
  15. Looking at this, I just had another potential thought. That jersey and looking at a lot of other pics of Kelly from 1986, the part where the numbers are is practically mesh, especially compared to the shoulders and sleeves. Makes me wonder if they still had some of those type of jerseys (which would have the box 2 on them) while new jerseys were at the bottom of the pile, waiting to be used when the older ones were no longer salvageable. If they just got jerseys in bulk and then stitched the names and numbers on as needed, it could be that they used the rest of the old 2's up and then switched the the new one, as someone said earlier. Probably didn't help that there was a strike in the middle of the 87 season. Maybe some of the replacement players kept their jerseys, thus forcing the team to get some new ones on short notice?
  16. I know some places can replace the nameplates nowadays. Curious as to if places like that would have the resources to help you at all. The other thought that crept into my head as a possible explanation was that I know Champion took over their jerseys somewhere in that timeframe (the jersey you have is a Champion, as the logo is on the white stripe). I guess it's possible that Champion used the diagonal numbers, while the previous manufacturer used the box numbers? Then there's the case of when OJ Simpson was playing:
  17. Besides the obvious OCD, the simplest answer is, I had a replica while he was playing and it was correct, having the diagonal 2. The box 2 just looks so off to me, because he wore the diagonal two.
  18. Yes, that thought had crossed my mind, lol But, that begs the question, why did Kelly get a new jersey after his first season? Wouldn't Ralph had said "I just made you the highest paid player in the league last year! Buy your own damn jersey if you want a new one!" I wish it were that easy. I'm pretty picky and that box-looking 2 on a throwback when I know it's not right is way too far out of my comfort zone, lol
  19. After buying jerseys every few years, only to see the player get traded, cut, etc, I decided that, if I ever bought another jersey, it'd be a throwback. Most likely, a Jim Kelly jersey. But, I don't want the road Super Bowl XXV jersey, for obvious reasons. I also don't want the 1994 version with the NFL 75th anniversary and Bills 35th anniversary patches (they had a losing season that year, so not really a fan). Essentially, I just want a blue 90's Kelly jersey with no extra patches. The problem is, pretty much every other throwback Kelly jersey is wrong. Let me explain: The first picture is the "Mitchell & Ness Legacy Replica." This is the one on the Bills shop site. The tag on the bottom reads "1990 Jim Kelly." But, it always looked wrong to me. After watching a clip of the 1990 AFC Championship, I figured out why. The second picture is a screenshot of that game. Look at the "2" on Kelly's jersey. It's a straight diagonal line connecting the top of the number to the bottom, where the jersey in the first picture is more of a "box" #2, much like the Bills wear today. So, I backtracked a bit and found that Kelly only wore the "box" 2 in 1986, his first season. But, while watching a game from 1987 (Dolphins at Bills) I noticed that there were players simultaneously on the field, some with jerseys that had the "box" 2 and others that had the "diagonal" 2. Pics 3 and 4 show #25 & #27 (Roland Mitchell & Ron Pitts) wearing the "box" 2 and #52 (John Kaiser) wearing the "diagonal" 2. So, why was this? I know this was before the NFL decided to start fining guys for wearing socks that were too high and/or the wrong color, but I'm trying to think of a reason why they'd not replace all of the jerseys at the same time. Even if you're gonna phase them in, or didn't wanna buy all new jerseys at once, wouldn't you change all of the home jerseys one year and road the next or something like that?
  20. So, Brad Allen's crew does know that tripping is a penalty.
  21. Dunno why it always involves Tampa Bay, but it's happened before:
  22. Personally, I'd rather Denver win. Gives the Chargers their third loss and they've already lost to KC. Broncos also have the Jets next week. If they can get on track, their games against KC are both after Thanksgiving.
