  1. Some will surely be released at cut downs, but are you thinking some will come available before then?
  2. I agree. I thought he would have. But there is still time and options after the draft. It is odd. There just hasn’t been the league-wide signing surge just prior to the draft like in years past.
  3. Mine is Kaiir Elam because he’s a poor and unwilling tackler. And I want a CB, if reasonable.
  4. How does one undervalue a WR with 0 receiving yards?
  5. Fair point. When I am in that position I just try words with 4 of the possible consonants in them. That usually gives me the missing letter on the first try.
  6. A red flag for Becton coming out was that he was a lot more inconsistent than he should’ve been. He dominated the competition physically, but regularly had WTF lapses. That pointed to a player who relied on his gifts and didn’t put in the work to hone his craft. The gap in physical talent was going to be a whole lot narrower in the NFL so that was going to be a problem if he didn’t change. It looks like that lack of dedication extends to him staying in shape. Wow.
  7. He wanted to play for a contending team. That wasn’t the Bills with Tyrod. It is now with Allen.
  8. I don’t think a single QB in this class deserves to be a round 1 pick, but at least Willis has some possible upside. Ridder would be the only other QB in the class with that IMO.
  9. The Steelers have been enamored with Malik Willis for months. It’s as well kept a secret as their fawning over Najee Harris was. Expect them to move up to get Willis unless he goes earlier than they can climb.
  10. That’s ridiculous. The people at PFF absolutely expected Allen to fail in the NFL. That’s what the historical data pointed to as a near certainty. But Allen has succeeded. And guess what? The people at PFF have not only acknowledged that, they’ve changed their methodology to try to account for players like him. But don’t let any of that temper your outrage.
  11. I did not realize it is behind a paywall. (I subscribe.) Honestly, it’s not their fault if people looking for an excuse to be outraged cherry pick one sentence that fits their agenda.
  12. Follow the link. The caveat of it being a 3 game sample from Hodges follows. Also if you read the whole thing - instead of the one sentence clip - you’ll see that they are just messing around like I said.
  13. Their bit was to find something positive to say about each team’s chances that week. For the Steelers playing the Bills they said that Hodges had played better than Allen the previous week. They never said he was a better QB.
  14. Edmunds is playing this year on his fully guaranteed 5th year option. We still would have to pay him if we cut him.
  15. It would still take next years first in addition to what you have, but that’s a doable trade. Getting Hamilton or Sauce makes a lot of sense for the Bills.
  16. I don’t think many people would argue with a bolded, but the context here is that people are responding to the question asked by the OP. So people are discussing what impact the Bills most positively this season. Let’s not forget that teams can err on the focus of long term over near term too. I think the Bills did that last season. If we had made an addition like Von Miller last off-season, I think we would’ve hoisted the SB trophy. This season I don’t want to see an inadequate CB corps derail us the same way. Obviously there is still plenty of time to improve the position via FA, trade and/or the draft. But it’s the screaming need for this team.
  17. CB is the obvious answer. RB and OG could be upgraded at 25 as well, but the biggest and most needed upgrade is at CB.
  18. I’m not a “fan” of many players as I focus more on the team. Most marquis players have a manufactured personality anyway so we usually don’t get to see who they really are. I just don’t pay much attention to that side of sports. Occasionally I will interact with an NFL player, or someone I know does. Allen got a really good review from one person I know who met him in a work related circumstance btw. His gf, not so much from a different person. I have met a bunch of current and former NFL players, coaches and FO people. By and large they’ve come off as good people. Sometimes even better than good, but occasionally not so good at all. Usually the not so good ones were arrogant and self-important. But to the question at hand: Regardless of what team he was on I’d still want to watch Allen play. I enjoy watching talented players play and he certainly qualifies. Plus he has a fun style.
  19. Baker’s looks like a different person, but a person. Ronaldo’s looks like a statue of a DreamWorks character.
  20. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I did not catch any accusations that he “forced himself on” any of these women. I saw that two said that he moved his body, which caused his penis to move and touch their hands. I’ve had less than 1% of the massages Watson has had and I’ve had a masseuse bump mine with her hand - and I wasn’t moving. I had a towel on though. I think it is obvious that Watson was looking for more than massages and I’m sure he got more than that from some of the women. I think @SoTier makes a good point. If some of these women weren’t licensed masseuses, then why were they advertising massage services on social media? I can only think of one reason (it’s more than massages). Or maybe Watson asked random women to give him massages for pay. One would have to think that would be for more than massages too. Licensed masseuses are one thing, but the others? Be real.
  21. Hopefully if the Bills do sign Haden it’ll be on an incentive laden contract with minimal salary and guarantees. We gave Norman $6M for nothing but a little bit of poor play.
