No. He’s mobile and can escape but he is not a running QB and they continue to try to use him as such

If Josh Allen isn’t a running quarterback, there’s no such thing as a running quarterback.

Yeah he needs to be sure to secure the ball and protect himself, but he is a one of a kind playmaker with his legs. I’m glad they let him play his game. It’s what makes him good.

aside from white, I'm just not keen on solid colors. it's a good thing though really as not everyone has the same tastes. some it's pepsi, some it's coke.

some would like to see the red helmets back. I like and have always liked the white. it's all good.

Some people say a cucumber tastes better pickled.

  3.  Making the playoffs, yes... but much more than that, the publicity we’re getting for breaking the drought, the celebration videos, the airport welcome, the locker room after the Dalton TD, the Dalton foundation donation, and everything else is going to get players’ attention. I think the word is starting. to spread about how Buffalo has a intimate football culture that no other city has. The money for a player is always going to be the primary factor, but we may be gaining a better edge for the right type of “process” free agents.

  4. If you had to pick one player who contributed the most THIS SEASON to our success in ending the drought, who would it be? My pick is Tre White.

If I was picking a unit, it’s the secondary without a doubt. Their play all season has been outstanding. It’s a tough call between Hyde, Poyer, and White for me, but I think it’s White. Tre has been played at an extremely high level every play this season. He’s all over the field, always in position, he’s a big play machine, and his positive attitude and leadership have been infectious with the rest of the team. With the quality of NFL QBs and wide receivers these days, corner is one of the most important positions on the field. It’s rare to see one as consistently good as White. I don’t think we’re in the playoffs without him.

His 2012 season was one of the best offensive performances by a Bill this century: a staggering 6.0 ypc plus 10.7 yards per reception (extraordinarily high for a running back).

This. I agree it was stupid to spend a high first round pick on yet another RB for the Bills, but saying he was a bad player is just wrong. He was one of the best RBs in the NFL for a short time under Chan. If you could draw up plays that got him the ball in space, he was beyond elite. Running between the tackles... not so much. Ultimately, definitely not worth the position he was drafted at.

Hughes has had a very good but very quiet season.  He is a better player than what his stats reflect.

Agreed. The big sack numbers aren't there, but he is always collapsing the pocket from his side. That still squeezes the quarterback and can force rushed, inaccurate throws or flush him. I think the lack of another top pass rusher on the other side has enabled teams to send the RB help Jerry's way more often than not, which is partially a reason for the drop off in sacks. They used to send the RB to Mario all the time and left Jerry 1:1 when he had his biggest years.

Also, Frazier doesn't blitz much or run a lot of stunts with the DEs. I notice Kyle stunting a lot on the inside, but you don't see Jerry coming all the way around into the A/B gaps. I remember seeing that a lot more in the past. It may not be great with current personal, as Dareus was fast enough to stunt to the outside and replace Hughes when he was here. Maybe they don't feel great about our current DTs getting around in time to have contain on those type of stunts.

We may be OK.  Their D probaby wont stack the box without Shady in there . This opens up some other opportunities, TT draws, J. Webb plays, TE screens and such.  We're going to be OK.

Agreed. Not having Shady hurts, but it doesn't kill our chances. Murphy obviously doesn't have McCoy level big play ability, but he looked serviceable in there. Tyrod is going to have to have an above average game to win and would have had to even with Shady healthy.

If the sprain is pretty bad, I'd almost rather they shut him down completely for the week. If it's a bad sprain, he'll probably just get a couple plays in before he's hobbled completely, and then the clock on recovery is reset. If we make it past the Jags, I'd rather have a chance at a more healed Shady back for a potential matchup with the Pats.

I think Lawson will be back better next year and will provide a good pass rush.  The main concern is the ability to rush from the middle. We lost it when Dareus stopped playing for the BIlls.

True, though Dareus wasn't generating much pressure before we left. A lot of that is due to the fact that McD/Frazier don't blitz very often. It was easy to have him double teamed on any given pass play. It would be good to have a monster NT that can generate pressure, but a good linebacker who can blitz up the middle (if we ever called it) could also accomplish that.

Titans have to beat the Jags to get in. They could win or lose this week and assuming we lose to NE it won't matter for them as long as they win next week. If they beat them then we are fighting it out with Ravens or Chargers for the last spot. If Ravens beat Cinci they are in.

So basically if Ravens or Titans lose next week that opens the door for either us or Chargers. So we want Chargers to lose today so then it's just us who can sneak in!

You are right, Jags won't have anything to play for, but they would probably want to win to keep a division rival out. Having played them twice and destroying them the first time, the Titans  have the most knowledge about how to beat them. Also, Marrone doesn't seem like the type of coach that would rest players. Jags should be favored in that one so that is probably our best chance to sneak in

Jags will still be playing for the #2 seed.

Clearly intentional.    Draws his arm back to punch, makes fist, throws a straight jab into TT's face and looks toward McCoy to sell it as unintentional.    Frustration with the run-pass option.

This was the play where he jumped offsides. He knew he had jumped and the play was going to be dead. I don't think it was frustration with the play as much as he knew he didn't really need to tackle McCoy because the play was dead anyways. So he just made a half assed effort to tackle him but kept one arm free for the punch.
