  1. I’d pay up to $10k if it was a guaranteed Super Bowl win. I’d also want to know before the season starts that it was going to happen. That way I could be the most obnoxious, smack talking fan all year and know that I’d be able to back it all up in the end and dunk on everyone.

  2. I don't think there will be much attention paid to that milestone. I think most non-Bills fans generally view Buffalo making it 4 straight as a minor footnote in Super Bowl history because they lost them all, as unfair as that is. If the Chiefs are in the AFC Championship game again and then also in the Super Bowl, you'll hear some passing mentions that they could/have joined the Bills as the only team to make it to 4 straight. But I think the majority of the focus would be on whether they can join the Steelers, Cowboys, and Pats as the only teams to win 3/4. Winning Super Bowls is primarily all people care about at the end of the day.

The problem is Andy Reid....name a Defense that consistently shuts him down.

Yeah, Reid is great, but no defense gave up 30 points to them all season… except McDermott’s. Our defense freaking blows and has for years. Forget any BS stats they rack up vs crap teams in the regular season. They have ALWAYS sucked vs the good offenses in the league. They always let down in the biggest moments. It’s sickening.

  4. Josh had a slow start with nerves which was disappointing, but he made huge plays to win the game. Joe Brady lost it on the offensive side of the ball. How many sneaks did the chiefs need to stuff before you try ANYTHING else. Terrible play calling.

The psychology of this game is so intense.  Facing this team for a 4th time in the playoffs in this era, having lost the previous 3.  That's a hurdle to overcome mentally.

As with everything, there is a negative, and a positive.  The positive is that at a certain point, you just draw a line and say "no more."  Like George McFly w/ Biff.

I feel like that as a fan.  Enough already.  Let's get it done this time.  I'd guess this team feels the same way.

They just overcame the 3x divisional round bugaboo. Now they can get past the 3x Chiefs one. This is such an awesome arc they are on right now from when they last reached this game 4 years ago. Amazing perseverance every year. I hope they can finally punch through and win it all because it will be an all time sports story if they do.

  6. Never hated the patriots the most. Of course I disliked them and wanted to see them lose every time, but I’ve always hated the Jets and Dolphins so much more.

Right now it’s the Chiefs. I like Andy Reid and Kelce a lot though. I used to like Mahomes but he has soured on me big time with his whiny antics over the past few years and his refusal to pay Allen and the Bills mutual respect.

I’ve always liked Baltimore but these Lamar truthers are really putting that to the test these past few weeks.

The most excruciating thing about 13 seconds was the lack of planned series of plays right after we scored the TD. No plan for the KO, No plan for the defense on 1st down or 2nd down. But this lack of foresight in critical situations has been a repeated flaw in McD and his team ever since in several games. This year its been Houston and LA where its reared its ugly head. I dont understand why its so hard to have a coherent plan drilled into whatever coaches or players are involved in the play and a short series of plays ready in whatever late game situation on offense and defense. I dont know why this has not been practiced? Yesterday under no circumstances should the TO have been called after the failed sneak, just abject stupidity. McD, Brady and Allen should have all been clear on this. A 2nd down play should have also been called or just a spike it call. But if that wasnt enough, there was no plan on the punt by LA at the end. Was the punt block on? or a trick play return? Instead we got 9 men on the field, with no rush and then a returnable kick that the returner Codrington let go into the endzone with no attempted return. Which turned an already dumb situation into a situation of pure stupidity.

Perfectly said. When games get crazy at the end, McD becomes a deer in headlights. He is not

prepared for high pressure situations and doesn’t know how to prepare his team for those moments. He displays it time after time. Good coach when things are going well/normal, but at the end of high stakes tense games, the moment has consistently proven too big for him.

To be totally honest as long as we don't suffer major injuries I won't think about this game for 5 minutes once it ends no matter the outcome

I mean we should. Yes it doesn’t mean much for seeding and such, but this is exposing a lot of this team’s deficiencies. I’m not saying they suck and there’s no chance of a Super Bowl, but it’s a big time reality check for how they match up vs good teams. I hope they learn.

  9. I’ve been impressed with a lot of his game and personnel management over the course of this winning streak. But that came on the heels of some familiar game management blunders early in the season. It’s disappointing to see that those things still happen with him in year 8. I hope he’s figuring it all out and can put it together for a Super Bowl run. As everyone has said, the playoffs are the test that matters.

They have good depth at TE.  Not like Kincaid has been the guy everyone was expecting in the pass game.   Not complaining just pointing out this is something they can work through with Knox and Morris.

Crap the snow predictions have made a turn for the worse.  The stadium looks like it will see two feet and if the winds move it could get worse.

Latest from WROC looks promising for less snow in OP. There’s still a lot of uncertainty for where the north edge of the lake effect band will ultimately land though. We’ll know more on Saturday.

what a freaking season that was!  Started 18-43 or something like that too, didn’t they?

EDITED TO ADD: I think Baby Shark was the catcher’s (not Kurt Suzuki, the other guy’s) walkup music if I’m not mistaken.  Not sure what the backstory behind that choice was.

19-31, second worst in NL before a best in MLB second half of the season. It really was incredible… greatest postseason run of all time for my money. So many moments.

It was Gerardo Parra’s song. Brought an infectious energy and the baby shark song. It all started to turn around when they started playing that damn song lol. Here’s a good clip on it

They even put a shark on the inside of the ring.

Look it up. Huge  turning point in their season when they embraced that song. Might not seem like much to you but definitely gave that team a different mindset moving forward.

When the Redsox were down 3 games to the Yankees the players all took a shot of whiskey or rum before game 4, then continued it the rest of playoffs and went on to win the World Series.

Some ***** can’t be explained it just works for ya. Not gonna work forever so you might as well ride it out as long as you can.

Nats started playing Baby Shark in 2019 (walk up song for a player who picked it for his daughter) and it became a phenomenon. Whole ballpark went nuts for it every time. Rode it all the way to a World Series victory.

Doesn’t matter what the song is… if it becomes the thing, you ride that dragon if it’s tied to a winning streak.

Like in the previous thread about the song in September, I'm begrudgingly fine with it. We needed a Renegade-style song to energize the stadium in key situations. And since the song seems to mean something to the players, that's all that matters in the end.

The song is at best a word salad, but then again, I've been singing Red Hot Chili Peppers and Aerosmith lyrics that make no sense my whole life. The real gut punch is that Knox probably heard it as an 8 year old in between episodes of Jimmy Neutron and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends.

Yep. It's not my favorite song, but now it's the Bills' song so... I'm all in. Get with the program, learn the lyrics, and sing your lungs out whenever they play it at the game. The team loves it (the song and the energy from the crowd when it plays), so just do it.

  14. Obviously we'd want all 3. I feel like with the cap situation, Beane could find a way to make it work while still leaving space for other important assets. TB is the priority for me of all of them... I feel like he's so critical for this defense. Shakir should be able to be get done on a comparatively cheaper deal than the high end outside WRs in the league, so that should work.

Benford is the toughest. He's going to command a huge deal. I know shutdown corners are important, but I'm just not sure if it will be the best move for this team to put a ton of money there. Obviously you'd love to have him, but it depends on how it fits with the cap. I feel like they can draft and develop serviceable DBs and may want to invest the big $ in other areas. I'll trust whatever Beane chooses to do though. He's a wizard.

  15. I cannot get over those two fake holds. Dawkins uses perfect hand technique to throw chop off balance and cause him to fall on his own.

torrence plays it perfect and keeps hands inside. Doesn’t grab defender at all as he tries to get off the block. Defender shows no effort and was never going to come close to josh running by. You throw TWO phantom holds in a row to take an incredible TD off the board? That is next level horse *****.
