  1. Chuck Long and Andre Ware also come to mind as names you could mention....
  2. For those of you badmouthing my beloved Cleveland (I'm originally from West Seneca), stop it. You don't know what you're missing, and you can only wish that Buffalo was as great a place to live as Cleveland. I've lived in both cities in the last 10 years, and Cleveland is light years ahead of Buffalo in all aspects of life. As for places to eat after the game, go to Panini's in the Flats. Get an overstuffed turkey sandwich and a beer or two. The sandwich is grilled turkey, cheese, fries, and coleslaw on freshly baked bread. Very satisfying after a night of whooping it up. East 6th street at the top of the Flats has a lot of happening joints. Jacobs Field is not the mistake by the lake. It is one of the nicest ball parks in the country, smart guy. Big Tribe bars are anything open on E. 9th Street before the game. Bars close at 0200, which is difficult for Buffalonians to comprehend (it was tough on my brother and his buddies when they came for weekends - they couldn't get used to going out at 9PM instead of 11PM!). Have fun! Cleveland is a great place! PM me for more information if you'd like.
  3. I'll take an XL mailed to me please. PM to follow.
  4. Harpo's Sports Bar on Brookpark Road near W 130th. I think it's still there. I used to go there when I lived there from 89-94. Damon's will usually show them, too if you get there early enough. Ask Buckeye Mike - he would know for sure!
  5. Why would anyone move to Detroit? What a dump!
  6. Perhaps in Oprah's and MJ's case, their staff decided not to forward the items to them. People like that have people who handle the public relations and not everything gets to the star's level, so they never even know about it.
  7. Lord of the Rings (any of them) and Star Wars (any of them). They've never interested me in the least. No particular reason. Just not interested.
  8. Skip Fargo. That movie is just plain stupid!
  9. Slapshot Gladiator Braveheart Caddyshack Pulp Fiction Old School American Pie American Pie 2 American Wedding Saving Private Ryan Band of Brothers Series
  10. Willis is beautiful!!! Great video. I'm getting pumped!!!
  11. I'm guessing that growing up with an Army Drill Sergeant as a stepfather has something to do with Shaq acting right. It's all about upbringing.
  12. My great grandfather, Anton J. Kuhn, left Essen, Germany in 1890 and came to America. He had 9 children, and 3 of the boys had their own monument businesses (Harold, Walter, and Roland). Anyone remember the KUHN Monument shops on Genesee near Pine Ridge in Cheektowaga? Walter E. Kuhn was my grandfather, and the others were his brothers. My father became a plumber and moved to West Seneca in 1959 with my mom. I was born in 1964 and joined the Coast Guard in 1983 (not too many job opportunities in Buffalo then, or now). I lived in Buffalo from 1994-1997 while stationed at the Coast Guard Base there. It was hard to go home and experience the depressed economy after living in bigger cities.
  13. Oh geez, how is he going to feed his family now? Screw that jackaxx!
  14. Well I'd certainly be able to treat her like the dirty little whore that she is! Who's with me, boys?
  15. I've had 4 of them in the last year. "Members with last names beginning with the letter K or R are to report to room XXX between the hours of 0800 and 1300 to provide a sample." 22 years and they still don't trust me. Oh well, at least they pay me well! Warrant Power!!
  16. I absolutely hate cats. I even teach my dogs to "Get them f'ng cats" and they go on guard for them! Cats - phooey!
  17. Buffalo - My dad used to take me to the Old Beech Inn on Genesee near Harlem. They had an awesome hand-packed burger, but that was over 20 years ago. I always like the burgers at Louie's Texas Red Hots - they had a unique taste and were cheap, which was important when I was a teenager. DC I like the All American Burger at Glory Days Grill, a sports bar. Nice, thick, and meaty. 5 Guys sucks. There's a place near my sister-in-laws' in Raleigh, NC called Char-Grill. They make an awesome steak burger. Chainwise- I go for Fuddrucker's. Big, juicy and that toasted bun is great. I also love Steak 'n' Shake, but more for the really great chocolate milkshakes. Hamburgers....the cornerstone of every nutricious breakfast!
  18. F all other teams! F 'em all!!!
  19. I applaud and respect anyone who can be a stay-at-home parent. That's what's missing in our society.
  20. Don't forget, you feared your father because he could take the belt to you. Try that these days and you're in jail!
  21. Partial tear or full tear. Makes no difference. The ACL has a poor blood supply, so the ligament will never heal on its own. He will have what's known as pivot shift (the lower portion of the leg being able to turn outward without the thigh moving - yuck!) and it will buckle on him from time to time causing more damage. He's better off having the Modified Jones Reconstruction (Patellar Tendon Graft) and starting his rehab ASAP. Link to ACL surgeries I know. I've torn each ACL and had the same procedure 6 years apart. I still play and officiate ice hockey at age 41, so I know the surgery works. He's what, 22? He'll be fine.
  22. Don't skip the foreplay that day, either!
  23. Did anyone notice the matching shoes? It's funny how all these "Student"-Athletes can always dress so nicely. How do they do that?
  24. I hadn't until just recently. Ever heard of bacon strips? Same concept.
