  1. I don't like Hackett because he has no creativity, sees plays not work several times but calls them over and over again anyway, knows we have a subpar Oline and two BACKUP running backs and still chooses to punch it up the gut, doesn't design plays to give the ball to Sammy, CJ or Marquise (when they were healthy), or even Robert Woods. It's mind blowing that with all of these playmakers we don't run more screens, outside runs, misdirections, or even the occasional trick play. He is so vanilla and predictable and its frustrating to see us go 3 and out SEVEN TIMES IN A ROW while running the ball at least twice, then see us score when we throw it. This is my problem with him. He needs to go.

Maybe Hackett didn't want to tip their hand before the season started.. er midway through the season.

  2. They were merely trying to chew through the clock. Yes the offense was predictable, but they still executed enough to win. I believe that it was in another post that this was stated in, but 20 points came off of turnovers, and 23 were the result of the offense producing. All in all this was a great team effort and everybody played great today.

This is not the same Bills team that we've seen for the last 14 years, and the team is starting to come into its own. They're starting to get a little swagger about them, which to me displays confidence. They are a young team with a few veterans sprinkled in and they're learning how to win. I see good things on the horizon. Go Bills...

  3. sammy or telvin, sammy may win because he's the bigger name, but whenever a defender forces 2 turnovers in a winning effort IMO that beats 100 yards receiving and 2 TDs

If it were a mediocre 100 yards receiving game, I might agree with you. But Watkins made a number of key catches (game tying touchdown, just to name 1) to help win the game. I have to give the nod to Sammy.

  4. I guess I understand this topic given the OP's user name, but, QB's don't beat teams; teams beat teams.

Regarding Orton...no reason to rush to judgement.

I have a tendency to look at it like the offense is a spoked wheel. Where the QB is the hub of the wheel, and all of the other players are the spokes in the wheel. If the hub is faulty (Manuel, hub under fabrication still) in any way, then the spokes can never be trued up (alleged locker room dissatisfaction with Manuel). It will be a rough ride.

On the other hand, if the hub is in good working order (Orton / Manuel swap), then you can start to true the spokes up (chemistry, trust). As each spoke gets trued up, the ride will begin to smooth out (the current status of the offense, everybody seems to be behind it). Everything revolves around the hub.

While I agree with you that it is a team effort, I feel that the majority of the responsibility rests with the QB.

  5. why?

If it was known by the poster that Bironas passed away, regardless of the reason, then IMO it is poor taste to make that type of comment. Talk of Detroit signing a kicker, knowing that the kicker is no longer alive, I guess I just don't understand.

I'm not condoning Bironas' actions, as far as the drinking and driving aspect, and it is fortunate that nobody else was injured or killed. Still very sad though, that a dumb decision was made and the ultimate price was paid.

  6. Frankly, I get no satisfaction from this. Tom Brady kicked the Bills around for his entire career. I wanted to see the Bills beat out the Pats while Brady was in the middle of his career, not when he is nearing 40.

It's like a guy has been having sex with your wife and daughter, and now you are giddy because he has a "For Sale" sign in front of his house.

    Wow, feels so good!?

What's so bad about getting the last laugh?

    "Cough b-tch!"

Bradham is having a field day out there, with his second sack of the day. This kid has turned into a real baller.

I don't see how Tannehill will be able to "get up" after that one.

Bradham is going f-ing nuts out there.

  8. Excerpt from article...

"Working under Reich, Rivers completed a team-record and NFL-leading 69.5 pct. of his passes last season (378 of 544) for 4,478 yards (third-highest of his career) with 32 touchdowns (second-most of his career) and just 11 interceptions for a career and team-record-tying passer rating of 105.5"

11 interceptions last yr. Not too shabby.

  9. its actually pretty similar to the Bills offense which the D has been practicing against for months

Then by that logic, doesn't that play to the Bills advantage as well?

Or are you referring to our D?

In which case, then both teams would seemingly be at an advantage and disadvantage at the same time.

I guess it doesn't really matter whose D you were referring to, the end result is the same.

  10. I am strongly behind EJ Manuel but if he struggles badly, I guarantee Doug Marrone won't ride out the storm.

Anyway, the Bills need a WIN here to be taken seriously around the NFL.

The only way Orton comes in today is if EJ is injured. Marrone has preached that he was behind EJ 110%. That would not send a very good message if he pulled him halfway through the first game. Of course that is just my opinion
