He was a pretty big recruit a few years ago, Ohio state had interest but he chose Purdue because he knew he wouldn’t get the targets at Ohio state. Then you have the defensive chess piece for different matchups - super smart, alpha leader with athletic profile to come in and contribute wherever McDermott wants him.
