We been done that road, a main reason for no success since Kelly. No more undersized or running QBs, that can't stand in the pocket and deliver the ball. Fitz, Taylor, Manuel, Losman, etc. We had the best passing stats with Bledsoe. A traditional QB.

I will be happy with Darnold, Rosen, Allen or Rudolph.

"we been done that road"   your parents must be so proud

Do you think he's a process guy?  Once you answer this question you'll know the kind of guys that we will attempt to bring in.

Process guy, its amazing how fans buy in to this PR bull ****... Russ Brandon truly is a genius.

See, this is what I mean about people having no clue.  If you actually watched Cardale's games you would see a ton of inaccurate throws.  There were deep balls to wide open guys under thrown by 10 yards, they were just so wide open they caught them still, or they would jump over the DB and catch it after they caught up.  On short throws he would almost never hit a guy in stride.  They would be high, behind them, or misses completely.  Again, some would be caught, but still inaccurate.  Finally, these teams were all stacking the box to stop Elliot and the running game, not protecting against the passing game, so guys were wide open all over the field.  Completion percentage does not tell the whole story.  Not even close.

Yet allen is playing boarderline D2 talent and isnt a very accurate QB. Obviously Allen is the better prospect, but he very much is comparable to a guy like Cardale. Actually completion % is a stat that tells a lot.

Cardale's accuracy issues were glaringly obvious if you actually paid attention to that Big10 Title run and National Championship run.  His accuracy, or lack thereof, makes Josh Allen look like Drew Brees.  Thus, the 4th round pick vs a probable 1st rounder, maybe even top 5.

Yet cardale had a higher completion percentage in college vs tougher competition

I understand they Allen is probably the better QB, but in this draft he is comparable to cardale.

1.) Cleveland Browns - QB Josh Allen

2.) New York Giants -  QB Sam Darnold

3.) New York Jets - QB Josh Rosen

4.) Cleveland Browns - RB Saquon Barkley

5.) Denver Broncos - QB Baker Mayfield

This is a likely scenario that terrifies me. I don't want to know what this board's going to look like if it goes down this way.

I'm thankful Kiper put it out there, though. Pretty much guarantees it'll go differently.

Kiper had jimmy clausen as a top 5 pick!

I remember when people on this board were saying Cardale would be the #1 overall pick after he won the National Championship.  So funny.  Just goes to show you how little a lot of people know about college QBs around here.

Cardale is a perfect example of size and tools but it doesnt translate to top nfl talent. He can make all the throws is mobile, problem is his football IQ and diagnosing a defense. Coverages easily confuse him, and he doesnt process defense quick enough at an NFL level. He is definitely good enough to be an NFL backup though, and theres no shame in that.... His traits compare most to Allen in this years draft.

He was absolutely awful before the injury last year. Block hands, he dropped everything. It was hard to watch.

But the Bills Vulture mentality echoes in my head, it screams...

"He'll be better for the Bills. He's just what you need. Better act quickly and pay him well or someone else is gonna luck out!"

No... Nope. Not gonna do it. Pass.

60 catches for 800 isnt that awful. Wouldve lead the Bills last year by far.

Maybe we should try throwing the ball in a position that doesn't leave him vulnerable and exposed so he doesn't get hurt all the time. An accurate QB can make all the difference. If he stays healthy and we put a Rosen or Darnold back there he could absolutely have a monster year. Separation is not the way he plays the game and even if he is cloaked his size makes him a matchup nightmare. I would love to throw to that guy jump ball after jump ball and let him go up and get it.

He was hurt in Carolina, he was hurt at FSU. So its always been the QB fault that hes been hurt?

KB isn’t close to those guys. His production has gone down every year of his career and he struggles to stay healthy.  He struggles to get separation.  He would be a good #2.  Unless he has a monster year, you let him walk.

Im more incline to agree with you. Hes really just a big body. Cant get separation and needs a speed WR or a strong number 1 to put up good numbers. Letting him walk is somewhat scary as this team has no WR, and the third round pick would really be in handy right now. I say max 8mil/yr, anymore they got to let him go.

  10. With Elite WR signing such large contracts, where does KB fit? Hes above a Woods like contract, but not sure hes worth Devante Adams money. I fear He'll get paid like Watkins, and unfortunately that would price himself out of Buffalo.. This team needs a big possession WR like KB, but I don't think hes an elite WR.

Yeah 5th round BU that cant beat out a meddling NFL Starter.

Every QB coming out has major questions marks. Just saying Mccarron COULD be the answer. He has looked good in limited playing time. Not many coaches are going to bench a qb that has taken them to the playoffs for a question mark.

I feel like we did a lot of "tinkering with the back end of our roster" last year for this very purpose.

The starters are set...they need to find a couple of versitile corners that can step in and not wet the bed if they are needed for a game here or there......they probably already have their plan there.

Stilll missing a nickle corner. Thats basically a starter in todays football.
