  1. No, we are finally competent. I absolutely love it. I was iffy on Beane and McD, now I'm officially sold.

Not sure if you are serious but if you are I pretty much am of the same opinion and I dont see a big drop-off in talent if any at all, especially if Tre Davis plays like I believe he will. Tyrod still will have plenty of weapons offensively and an elite running attack.

And, we'll like next years draft for sure. Just in time for the Patriots fall from the mountain.

  2. bruce smith is a bruce smith fan....guaranteed there's something in it for bruce

Exactly. Nothing more than a publicity stunt for the fans by the Browns marketing dept. Anyone else notice Bruce's 180 degree turn on their #1 draft pick? Was saying slow off the ball a couple months back now saying he's next coming of Dick Butkus...because the Browns payed him to be there. Publicity stunt. Nothing more, nothing less.

  3. Brady is the best QB in the history of football. How can any fan of the game not respect what he has accomplished ? A firey competitor with the skills to go along with it. I wish him well and I hope he continues playing a couple more years. I will miss him when he is gone. I like watching the position be played the way it is supposed to be played and with unmatched perfection. There wont be another like him in my lifetime.

Any time I've heard him interviewed he's come across as a classy individual too

He's got my respect. Busted his a** to earn it too.

I always hope he plays lights out against the Bills.....in a losing cause.

  4. Just a theory here. They are switching to a family day in December because those seats have been pretty hard to fill. This might help ensure a full house late in the season.

....which will no doubt be a long-term positive football influence for the kids as they freeze their butts off in the wind-driven snow; and report to school Monday with pneumonia. At least they'll fill a few seats though !

  5. Someone easily could have chosen Peterman in the 2nd round and none of the analysts would have blinked. This is a steal regardless of how his career turns out.

    +1.

and...Lets not forget how picking QB's early has worked for us in the past. 50% of 1st rounders fail in the NFL. The drop-off in QB's picked in later rounds is not all that great vs those picked early.

I buy in to the Peterman pick. We've watched enough wasted picks on bad QB's. Lets cheer for this kid and if he were to beat out Tyrod (doubtful of course) we'd be pretty well stacked at the QB position.

  6. He's not good.

    He's not better than Tyrod.

I will admit that my view and opinion of EJ's abilities was way off the mark.

However, I still maintain that Tyrod, also, is not good enough and we need better.

Both EJ and TT have to go.

    Go Bills!

Good on you, man. I think Tyrod needs to be retained though unless we do something radical...like get Romo or some other seasoned Vet. Tyrod is OK, a bridge QB just good enough to not lose games.

BTW, I think more people than will admit were surprised with how rattled EJ was yesterday. I know I was....fer sher.

    Happy New Year everybody.

  7. Give the kid a chance. Got all the tools

    1. EJ Manuel, though a try-hard guy, is not a competent NFL backup QB.2. Cardale Jones is NOWHERE near ready to play QB in the NFL and offseason "study" is not going to make him ready.3. Tyrod Taylor carried this offense all season, but he really isn't likely to be the long-term answer either.4. Anthony Lynn presided over the ugliest game played by a Bills team in several years and he should be removed from consideration as a coaching candidate. That was abysmal - totally unprepared and no signs of anything different than under Rex (maybe worse).5. There are a TON of problems on defense. With what looks like a very weak QB draft class, I could justify spending all picks on defense.

Sorry guys. That was an accidental post.Sent from my XT1030 using Tapatalk
  8. Because I'm a Bills fan, no matter what the record, how good/bad the team is, I have an interest in watching them...I only get to see them 4-5 months a year and to me it's gold. Maybe I'm crazy...maybe a fanatic, because since I've been like 5 or 6 (over 50 years ago) I continue to watch them no matter if they make me frustrated or pissed I just can't turn off or not watch a game. I must be a loser, right?

Good answer. That'd be me as well. In fact, I find these games more relaxing to watch. No pressure to win ! You learn what kind of heart is on the roster too as well as guys that have packed it in for the season.

  9. Sigh. Why do I bother? Thanks Yolo. I see the same thing.

Totally get your frustration, but let me disagree respectfully.

Wagon, as I see it we are very close to playoff caliber as I type this. All we need is a big improvement on D,and some WR help. I think your suggestion is solid, but not the timing. If we take him now and play him the O (which was pretty good this year) needs more of a rebuild to fit his strengths. If he were to be available in a later round...by all means grab him but it is my opinion the ship is pretty steady. Just need a defensive mind to fix that side of the football.

  10.

I'm sure the 49ers heard that about Alex Smith, and yet...

You're correct, if EJ turns in a great performance he will get offers in this QB poor league where even teams with good QB are one hit away from QB purgatory.

......and if EJ is successful on another franchise the same guys running him out of town here will say how silly the Bills were to let him go. LOL !

Gee. which way is the wind blowing today?!?! I'm in !

  11. Heres whats gonna happen. Lynns gonna be the head coach. Tyrods gonna be the QB. Hopefully Sammys return to full time health allows the offense to be seventh or better in points per game. And we bring in a d coordinator who runs a 4-3 and puts our defense in the top ten. Problem solved. No need to overthink this.

..........and we get a playoff birth.goodpost.gif ^^^ Its all that needs to happen.
