  1. C'mon guys. You're giving them too much credit with some of these predictions. Honestly doubt we win but I think it'll be by one score and not a blow-out. And...if some of our lesser known players step it up we could actually win.....right here at home. They (Pats) did not look all that sharp last week on the road against a decent team.

    Pats . 23

    Bills . 16

Also predict Bellichick will be dry in his post game interview, and he wont be using a MS Tablet !!

  2. Sal Maiorano was saying earlier this week that in the 4th qtr when the Bills are within one score of taking the lead; that Tyrod has a 40% completion rate and a QB rating of 50. I dont know about EJ (he might be OK) but Tyrod has been unable to light it up when the teams back is against the wall. It likely isnt exclusively his fault. Play calling, route running, injuries etc. They all play a role.

The problem with the OP's idea is there is only so much practice time and these 2 QB's splitting reps with the #1's would likely dilute their readiness for each opponent. Additionally, you also take the risk of creating controversy, locker room taking sides and a media that will throw nitrous on the fire.

But, I wont pile on....... even though its the in-thing to do on this forum. The OP is simply asking a question. Nothing wrong with that.

EDIT: very much agree with the quote below..I hate to say.....

MAJbobby ... The truth to the matter is we have probably two very good BU or low end starters
  3. As someone who absolutely loves the NFL, this season has been as bad of a season as I can remember. Too many commercials and penalties. Awful.

Hopefully, it will be the final nail in Goodell's coffin.

Agree. No game continuity for the reasons you mention. I'd add injuries to that too. I am enjoying College ball more than ever now. A much better product for the football purist...IMHO.

  4. Just win baby. the talking heads will come around. First you suck bc your don't win, then when you win you didn't win enough, then when you win enough the wins aren't against the right teams, then when you beat the right teams, you don't win in the playoffs, then when you win those, you don't win the SB, then when you win the SB you don't repeat... blah blah blah. you're watching too much NFL coverage. focus on the game right in front of you and now what the talking heads say

    Post of the month. eusa_clap.gif

  5. The NFL will blame anything and everything and ignore the real reason. Team owners are starting to make noise. The advertisers are not far behind.

Roger dug this hole and it'll be interesting to see if he does what needs to be done to correct it.

Doesn't much matter its become an unwatchable product for me. Severe lack of continuity with constant commercials.

  6. If we were Niners fans we'd probably be saying the same about Tyrod, and Shady too. Sure, anything can happen but I'm not that concerned. Kaep is a back-up for a reason. To Blaine Gabbert. That should speak volumes and frankly Id take Rex with all his flaws over Chip any day. I think Chip is over-rated and will be a college coach again in a few years. Just my opinion thats all.

  7. Of course the NFL has to say that. They want to deflect an issue that is difficult for them to resolve. From people I see at work, by far that is the main reason they have no interest in the NFL now

I also believe this is a bigger hitter than originally thought as I'm hearing the same both at home and nationally. The trend so far has not reversed per Ben Maller on his Thursday night presentation.

  8. i hope its kap.. and would love to be there next week when he takes "the knee" . after about 2 hours of pre-game beers and food, i can only imagine the "reception" he will get.. before all you whinny types jump on my a$$ telling me "he has a right to protest, etc etc" i get all that .. i am just dealing in reality and know how a lots of my beloved hometown peeps think.. and .. as always.. JMHO..

My wish is to see him get sacked hard and the sacker takes a knee for his sack dance. That'd be epic. I am not a fan of that oppressed millionaire.

  9. Prime time games this year have been quite un-appealing, and when they do seem to be good matchups, they aren't very competitive.

This one here has "garbage" written all over it. I wont be tuning in. It'll be commercial torture (like all games) and what appears to be a very unappealing match-up.

I hope its a good game for those that tune in.

  10. This board is funny.

Bills lose 2 games = tank the season - this team is the worst Bills team ever

Bills win next 2 games = this is a playoff team - first two losses were a fluke

    Love it. Keep it coming.

There is no doubt in my mind that the Bills are going to lay another egg at some point in the season (could be any game really) and the fanbase will shift their opinion back to being - Tyrod sucks - not good enough for NFL - Rex sucks and he is an embarrassment - his style of defense is outdated and won't work anymore and - this is once again the worst Bills team of all time - we should think about tanking again.

Realists will not be tolerated !

  11. @mikereiss

Per @AdamSchefter, QB Jacoby Brissett to start today for #Patriots .

Rex said he thought he knew early this week who it would be but didn't say who it was. Anyone think he prepared for the right guy?

Yup. Just got the NFL update on my phone. EDIT: As was said a few posts back; Make him beat you thru the air. If so we have a damn good chance for a big win on the road.

    GO BILLS !

  12. Thanks for the super input everyone. Must say: very surprised with the answers and learning that I'm not the only one annoyed with all the stuff you guys have brought up.

According to Fox sports radio over-nighter Ben Maller; week 3 ratings (excluding Monday night) were down somewhere between 10-15%. He seems to think it is mainly due to the Anthem kneelers going on to say that 44% of those surveyed responded very negatively to these antics.

Whatever the case....if this continues the NFL may have a biit of an issue on their hands. In business a 10% downturn is significant.

    Many thanks everybody.

    GO BILLS !

  13. I think there's something to it…but it has been something developing slowly in the background over a long time….and I think there will be a quickening if they keep things going the way they have

FWIW: Here are some things that I feel may have contributed

    Too many commercials

Too much over-production of the telecast…robots, country singers and stupid intro's, extra special reports from female reporters (Fox and ESPN are main culprits). Everything over the top.

Too many nationally televised games (MNF used to be a huge format and an event…too hard to get the marquis match ups and many games are blowouts...everything has a watered down feel now yet they still broadcast it like it's a huge event)

Too much tinkering with the game for the purists

With the CTE backstory, many parents no longer want to glorify this game to their kids

Too corporate and too political: this game is part of people's weekends and they don't need to cross the streams

Disney/ABC/ESPN: Dancing with the freaking stars being plugged on the NFL telecast. The pink bow was enough for awareness…now it's a joke.

Game is regressing, Talent is watered down…just not enough top quality QB's to go around. We know that too well.

FANTASY: those with fantasy teams only want to watch NFL Red Zone…they do not care about engaging a single game - just stats

    Excellent take. Thank you. goodpost.gif
