  1. Did you get your Nike gift bag??

On a personal good note,,,,I saw this very young , beautiful, kind, SICK, marketing director from NIKE at the clinic today. She was from New York, and is in charge of setting up NFL commercials for NIKE. After the superbowl, she takes off Monday for Hawaii and the PRo bowl.!!!!! Tough job !!! So I laid on the poor poor pitiful me,,,,,working hard with no parties to go to,,,,,,so she comes back to the clinic this afternoon with two large, gold, collectors medallions, that are the admission tickets to the VIP NIKE party friday night !!! Nike has rented a very large, whole Hotel right on the beach for the whole weak. So her she is in all her sweetness, and she promises me a NIKE giftbag that they will be giving to Rothlisberger. Bettis, and other NFL players at the party !! It was at that point that I offered my personal services as a traveling physician to help make sure she gets to Hawaii in good health. I quickly mentioned my love of NIKE products and only want to see them succeed !!! HAHA !!! So Friday night from 7pm to 2 am I am going to be at the NIKE party, and I must convince this nice, beautiful, young , marketing director of her utter need of a personal, traveling, Pro bowl doc !!!!! Any suggestions would be appreciated !!!!! Stay tuned for futher updates from Jax !!!!
  2. .....Sunday, for the first time since Super Bowl XXIV, White won't be on the sideline waiting to complete his mission. Instead, he will spend Super Bowl week passing on his knowledge to NFL types, who will take over White's duties. Then it's on to Honolulu and the Pro Bowl. Tough break.

White has plenty of tales to tell from his experiences, the most memorable being Super Bowl XXV, the notorious (for Buffalo Bills fans, at least) "Norwood, wide right" debacle..

You remember, the one where Scott Norwood missed a 47-yard game-winning field goal try with seconds remaining that deprived Bills fans of their only Super Bowl victory.

"That was the year the designers had the genius idea to incorporate the final score into the T-shirt," White says.

The T-shirts were pre-printed, as always, for both teams, leaving an opening where the score would be put on.

As Norwood prepared to kick the game-winner, White ordered the score of 22-20 to be put on the Buffalo shirts.

"I grab the first six and saunter out. As the ball's snapped, I'm literally 5 yards out on the field ready to sprint and give Marv Levy, Jim Kelly, and other players a T-shirt."

Then, wide right. "I pull a Baryshnikov, twirl around, run back in the tunnel, throw them in the garbage, and tell 'em, 'Put the Giants on there with the score 20-19!' " White says.

"I grabbed three and caught some guys before they got in the locker room. The next day (USA TODAY's) Rudy Martzke wrote that ABC got a call from some irate fan saying, 'I knew the games were fixed, they had a T-shirt with the score already on it! How did the league know what the final score was going to be?' "

The final score on the shirts created a buzz and was unique, White says, but not surprisingly it hasn't been incorporated into the T-shirts since.

And what becomes of the mistake or losing team's shirts? Well, since they are property of the NFL, they're either destroyed or sent to a foreign country whose people are in dire need of clothing. However, White says ESPN broadcaster and diehard Bills fan Chris Berman might be the sole owner of all four Buffalo Bills "Super Bowl Champions" caps. "He somehow commandeered all four," White says with a laugh.

  3. And Dennis Hextall, Gilles Villemure, Larry Wilson.

A seat in the "upper" greys used to cost something like 75 cents... :D

My memory continues to let me down. Prior to the oranges being added when the Sabres came to town, was it....

    Lower Gold

    Upper Gold

    Red

    Blue

    Grey

    or something else???

  4. they are a bit obnoxious and francessa does think he is God, but I think it's a really enjoyable show (though it took me a while to come to that opinion). They play off each other very well, and they know their sh*t more than most.

He used to be on Sporting News radio, but Peter Brown and Francessa have to be long lost brothers. They are truly the kings of "know it all"!

  5. It just sounds like Rusty got squeezed out.  He obviously left because he was not happy in his new role with the Bills.  Not the end of the world, but the final link to the Super Bowl era Bills (save Ralph!) is gone.

Chuck Lester has been here since 87. Nobody knows what it is he does, but he's got a knack for surving multiple coaching regimes. :(

  6. I agree they are all overpaid, but we go and buy the $75 dollar tickets, $15 parking, $6 hotdogs and $6 beers to go and see the games.  If we stopped going to the game until the prices became more reasonable it would all level itself out.

Question:  Did anyone have Sabres season tickets?  How much did they cost and did that include parking?

    227209[/snapback]

The prices you stated are a huge part of the problem. In a big market, you may be able to get away with charging $75 for a ticket, but you have a game in February on a Tuesday night against a crappy team and you end up with an entire lower bowl of empty blue seats.

My 2 cents....I'm NEVER paying $75 for a regular season hockey game. I'm not even sure, I'd pay that much to see the Bills. Thankfully except for the club seats, all tickets are below this amount

  7. Don't forget about this model citizen....

When Derrick Thomas died from injuries suffered in a car accident last February, he left seven children by five women and no will. Since the seven children, ages 2-10, are heirs to what is left because Thomas was not married and there isn't a will, the mothers of his children are fighting for a healthy share of his estate filed in Jackson County Circuit Court, MO.

Search on this guys name and read all the touching tributes to a great man. Of course in most of those tributes you won't find anything about how this fantastic person knew nothing about birth control, commitment to one woman(for more than one night) and on top of everything else he was too dumb to know he should have had a will.

I wonder if he looked up to Calvin Murphy? :(

  8. ...and here I thought that I had to worry about the Bloods and Crips coming to Buffalo. Now I have to worry about the Scientologists fighting turf wars.

Coming soon to a theater near you....

West Side Story II...All gangs unite to take on the Scientologists for control of the abandoned Ted's Hot Dog stand on Porter.

    :D:angry:

  9. I'm not sure you can answer that question because I'm not convinced that Moulds has peaked.  I can say this much: unless my memory is messed up, I certainly don't remember Andre missing a pass, and turning to the ref and calling for a flag while the ball is still in the air.

More and more WR's are doing this and it ranks right up there on the annoyance scale with excessive celebrations when gaining a first down.
