If JP turns out to be an above average starter for the next 10 years, I could care less what we gave up. Even though I hope that the pick is closer to 20 than it is to 1 because I don't want to hear the Tuna & Jones proclaim how they stuck it to the Bills.

All name players that you all on this board agreed with at the time.
Blame for lack of success ???? How do you know at this point ??? He has been here for four years with a team for the first two had cap problems ???? He cleaned up the cap, His drafts have been solid- not spectacular.
17-33 = Lack of success!!
Furthermore, cleaning up the cap is not as great an achievement as is noted in the TD Hall of Fame quite frequently. He cut a bunch of players and then we proceeded to go 3-13...BFD! It would have been an achievement if he cut all the players to get under the cap and then proceeded to go 8-8.

ICE...I don't mind you fence hopping every now & then, but this is bordering on ridiculous. Are you including yourself in the group you have titled "non bitchers/non quitters"??? How could you type this with a straight face??? This is really your attempt at a "joke of the day" right??
-
We have and will improve and you just have to let things play out before you start bitching so much. I'm pissed Too about being 0 & 2 but I do believe that we are going in the right direction and if we don't the last guy I blame at this point is TD.
No! I am not his Mother or a related- if that's what your thinking.
The last guy you would blame is TD???? He hires the coaches. He hires the college scouts. He hired John Guy as pro personel director. He approves all trades and F/A signings. Yes he signed a lot of "name" players, but maybe they are just a BIT overrated.
So tell me argb52 where does TD fall in terms of blame for the lack of success the team has had during his tenure???

Out of his ass! You guys are fuggin pathetic. Go find someone else to root for. in the mean time the rest of us non bitchers / Non quitters will find the REALITY of yesterdays game wrapped up in this article...

Here is a great quote...
Starting 0-2 is all too familiar to Bills cornerback Troy Vincent. Last season, Vincent played for a Philadelphia Eagles team that started out 0-2 before getting to the NFC Championship game. The Eagles had difficulty scoring in their first two games and many experts believed their season was lost. However, the Eagles rallied after their bye week and beat the Bills on the road at Ralph Wilson Stadium and they never looked back on their way to an NFC East division title.
Do we have problems? Yes. Was this predicted? Yes. When are the playoffs made? NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER.
The big difference between our 0-2 start and the Eagles last year is that our offense has been in a funk for the last 16 games(since game 2 of last year) and they have shown no signs of snapping out of it.
We have added the speed WR everyone said was needed
We upgrade the guard position by replacing Brown with Villarrial
DB has supposedly been "fixed"
We now have WM to complement TH
It's the "magical" 3rd year for Reed when all WR develop into good players
Guess what....the offense is still pitiful. I must be looking in the wrong place for optimism??
-
everyone is already talking as though the season is over. i'm not gonna say that things look good for the bills...but it's not THAT hard to believe that we can turn it around. the bills looked so good in the first 2 games last year, and look what happened. why is it so hard to believe that we look terrible in the first 2 games this year and then turn it around? anyone remember how the eagles looked the first 2 games of last year? maybe this season will be the opposite of last season. 10-6??
Why is it so hard to believe that they can turn it around you say??? How about the fact that since game 2 of last year the offense has been pitiful regardless of who you want to blame and show no signs of snapping out of it. On top of that, you are staring at the defending SB champs in two weeks.
-
If the coaching staff doesn't keep things in perspective(all for one, one for all), this is the kind of thing that could divide a locker room in a heartbeat.
-
I am very surprised at how little time WM got in game 1(until TH got hurt) and equally surprised how little playing time he got yesterday. I thought WM would be getting at least a couple of series per game spelling TH and providing a change of pace.
-
I believe he is usually set up as the 2nd return guy. He's primarily back there due to his apparent excellent lead blocking capability.
The idea is that (like last year w/ Brown) the primary return man gets the ball except for maybe 20% of the field. It just so happens that the were able to kick it accurately to that area (although on one of those kicks, McGee was in position to take it but Fletch took it anyway).
For that matter, he seemed to do a pretty good job on his 2 returns.
If the return team is setup so that London Fletcher is the "2nd return guy", Bobby April should be fired today. Please go back in the history of the NFL and find me another example of when a MLB was used in this capacity! I don't care if they want to use him as the first guy behind the wedge, but returning kicks?
Give me a break!

Why are people showing up in the survivor pool making picks for week 2, who were wrong in week 1????

I didn't want this to fall off page 1. I'm positive that there must be some people who still think DB can get us to the SB? Remember....you were the people in the off-season who constantly said that MM, TC & SW were going to "fix" DB. I guess all of a sudden it's not very trendy to be on the DB bandwagon???
-
I would have liked to see a couple more replays of this hit. It did look like a cheap shot by the second raider coming in. Nice job CBS!!
-
At least you guys are consistent. You B word when we lose and I'm sure you will B word when we win. That's all you guys do.
I see issues that are correctable you see death and distruction.
I see mistakes on offense with an all new coaching staff. You see the fall of the empire.
I see returns on special teams and a punter and a kicker that improved from the last game with a new coach and after two games you see disaster.
Because I see the glass half full after TWO games you think I'm smoking something.
I say to All of you STOP THE BITCHING. This is what YOU all wanted. The team that is being built right now before your very eyes Will be in the playoffs.
If and when it isn't is when I will start bitching but I'm not going to B word after just TWO GAMES
You know what I see...I see a lot of the same things in the last 2 games that led to a 6-10 season a year ago and GW not being offered a new contract.
-
The second kickoff was to the Buffalo 4 yard line! Did he feel after the first one, that he was the primary return man?
-
Either he needs to be chewed out and told that he is out there to block, not to run the ball or that is one of the most idiotic return schemes I have ever seen. Please tell me that Bobby April is not in the same class as Ronnie Jones & Danny Smith.
Where is Bruce Dehaven when you need him???
-
I heard he threw his helmet in disgust after Oakland's last offensive series. Jerry...all good things must come to an end. When you continue to play at your age, things like this are going to happen. Most of your records will never be broken. You are the greatest player of all-time in my eyes. No big deal. Close out your career with class...please.
PS You shouldn't be throwing your helmet. Your TEAM won the game!!!!!
-
I have read so much here about how TT has improved. Did you see the wiff he had on the OAK player who nailed WM for a 10 yard loss in the backfield.
-
What then??? How about you can't get any worse and the qb you replaced DB with costs a hell of a lot less! Too late now....The Bills have DB's cap dollars staring them in the face and the heir to the throne has a broken leg because their smartass prized F/A veteran CB had to teach the rookie a lesson!!!!
PS Where are all those INT's TV was going to provide???
-
If after watching yesterdays game you still think DB can lead this team to a SB, please respond to this thread, so I can add you to my ignore list and feel free to add me to yours. He cannot be fixed, he is the same QB we saw all of last year. I give TD credit for making the trade and giving it a shot. It did not work out, let's move on. The only thing that pisses me off...I wanted to cut DB outright during the off-season with no cap hit. Don't ask who we could have brought in. After yesterdays performance, just about anybody would be acceptable.
Instead, now we are saddled with his cap dollars.
I reiterate.....HE CANNOT BE FIXED!!!!!!!!!!
-
**bump**
Redirect your anger and talk about camcorders instead!
-
I've been off the bandwagon for a while now. I did not buy into this DB can be "fixed" nonsense and todays game gives me no reason to believe I was wrong. The sooner the Losman era begins, the better. Hopefully he is a quick healer.

I know there was a previous wealth of information on this, but all the old posts are gone. My Canon 8mm has served me well for the last 9 years(never had it in for a single repair), but it's time for something new. I'm looking for something for typical home use with the ability to transfer to computer and burn to CD. From the little I've read, it looks like MiniDV is the way to go. I don't want to spend much more than $500. Hopefully there is something in that price range that is a good solid camera.
Thanks!!

John,
From what I have read, DB is a high character guy and a great family man, but does that make him immune from criticism when playing poorly. There is blame to go around for the offensive woes of the last 16 games, but in my eye it begins and ends with the man who handles the ball on every snap....DB!
Just my 2 cents!!!
