New coach comes in. Hire past Buffalo Bills head coaches as coordinators?

Why would anyone remotely even think that or want that? Why? I just don't understand some peoples mindset around here that will want to forever live in the past and refuse to look forward.

Chip Kelly is going to fail MISERABLY in the NFL. Guaranteed.
I kind of have that same feeling. He recruits specific players that fit his offense, which I think is successful mainly because it is gimicky(is that a word?). Much harder to do that in the pros.

It's Russ's big chance to broker a deal. All Ralph has said is that the team is not for sale.
Well, as anyone can obviously see, the team IS on the market whether or not Ralph can admit it. Mr. Wilson's clock is ticking.
Look for Russ to be making arrangements for a TRUE succession plan. That will be the real impact of this restructuring.
Right, so Brandon will be looking to potential buyers that he can become buddies with if you know what I mean. Kinda like Larry Quinn did with T Golisano. Not that Brandon would act and do things the same way as Quinn did but he is most likely going to look out for himself first.

ok, that's fine but what happens to Brandon when Ralph passes? The new owner gets to pick and choose who he keeps, maybe this is Brandons audition for when new owners buy the team. It's his big chance.

Maybe they retain Chan and Buddy but Ralph tells them YOU ARE GOING TO CHANGE THE QB AND DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR AND KICKER. I dunno anything is possible.

Polian has been brought up repeatedly around here - he's mentally older than Nix and promoting his incompetent son is what got him fired in Indy.
Not to mention he pissed Ralph off about comments about Ralphs daughter, that's why he was fired in the first place. He's NEVER coming back to Buffalo.

Though I don't think it is right and I think he is a pretty decent HC, I think Lovie Smith in Chicago is on a very hot seat.

Not everybody is as eager to fire good people from their jobs as you are.
It's amazing how every armchair QB has all the right answers, and they are always right and never wrong, especially on a message board. What did Marv Levy say, when you start listening to the fans is the when you start sitting with them, or something like that.

He didn't give us either. Kelly was on the Generals when when the USFL folded. He then had no other option but to play in Buffalo.
Thurman was drafted by the Bills and played no where else.
But yes, I firmly believe Trump is in the mix. He has Kelly ties for sure and would love to get another team IMO.
Kelly was a Houston Gambler, and the big name on the NJ Generals was Herschel Walker. IDK if Trump owned the NJ Generals or not.

announcers just said the Bills 3rd down defense is worst in the league. I wonder by how much they are the worst? I haven't seen other teams 3rd down defenses look this bad.

That was the first time watching Smith and about the 5th time have seen Nassib this year. I wasn't terribly impressed with either yesterday but that could be blamed on the weather. As far as evaluating the two QBs, Nassib looks the more ready pro. Smith seems to be the beneficiary of two stud receivers, and a scheme that just keeps the defense off balance. Lots of short line of scrimmage throws for Smith and YAC, didn't seem to have much of a vertical passing game where Nassib did, and Nassib seemed to look for and use all his targets.
The most impressive thing I saw yesterday was D Marrones mindset to just keep smashing the running game at WVU, that was impressive that he didn't waver even when the game was tied or close, just run the damn ball, impressive. Too bad Chan couldn't learn something from that game because Buffalo could be a lot better with better play calling and play smash mouth football.

if there is more talent it does not show during play, that is for sure. no, probowlers says it all.
So is the problem, bad coaching or an overall lack of talent? Is the coach failing because he is trying to be creative because of the lack of talent and he is just no good at being creative?
Yeah, I don't think Gailey has done very well but having no pro bowlers 2 years in a row screams volumes of how weak the talent is that Gailey has had to work with.

Just a thought. If the Bills hire Lovie Smith, is there a chance B Urlacher follows him. I think he is a free agent, and even though he is on the downside of his career and there isn't much left in the tank he is still a better option than the current LBs. But then again if he is a free agent he will probably want to go to a winner that is just 1 or 2 pieces away. I dunno just crazy thinking on my part.
