I'm concerned about the new backup QB.

The rest of the league won't throw it 60 times a game when they face the Bills. IMO if Brady has an agenda against the league/Godell and tries to humiliate everyone they play by throwing and throwing and throwing and run up the score even more when he has a 24 point lead at the end of the 3rd quarter, some knuckle dragging back up scrub is going to take exception to that and try and cheap shot Brady and not give a rats arse if he gets suspended.

Maybe these coaches actually know a whole ton more than you, ya think! They use video and break down every ota and camp session and have a general idea of who/what they want from only looking at a small % of practices. Oh yes, there is plenty of MC bashing going on in here. EJ hasn't proven yet that he isn't a bust. His improvement is minimal at best, if any. A couple of good preseason throws doesn't prove squat as he had a couple of good throws in 2013 and 2014. He was starting back then, then became a backup last year and finally third string this year. Sure does not seem like improvement to me. If he was any good, even just a bit he would have won this competition going away back in august. He didn't, time to move on. If TT is any good why bother keeping EJ, he won't ever play.

+1 I said in there somewhere that once TT won the job, releasing Cassel was a money move more than EJ supplanting him, which made total sense for the Bills cap wise. I didn't think they would bring MC back however.

Nope, not at all Kyle. EJ played well as I have said, but I'll speak slower so you can catch up, a few good preseason throws doesn't automatically make him great, all the Bills QBs look pretty good this preseason FWIW. To hang your hat on one or two preseason throws is comical. Obviously EJ and MC were close and the Bills couldn't justify $4+ million on a backup, so they went with the cheaper option. Pretty self explanatory IMO.

Nope, EJ still stinks, a few preseason throws against vanilla defenses doesn't change much as TT, MC, and MS also looked ok in said games. IMO this was more a $$$ decision than anything and it made total sense to do what they did. Again IMO the Bills will be shopping for a QB next year via draft of FA. That is all.
